Sorry guys, I was busy the last two weeks and that is why I didn't post anything. Here is the final part to the story. Thanks to all for voting and commenting on the previous part.
"You don't have to come up." Gauri tells Omkara in a pissed tone seeing him getting out of the car.
"I want to meet your father." Omkara tells her as he got out.
"I can tell him whatever happened." Gauri tells him still upset about the kiss. Didn't that kiss mean anything to him?
"Why? Are you scared that you will kiss me again?" Omkara asks her pissed.
"Kiss and you? Puh-lease! That was a mistake." Gauri tells him and walks off.
Furious at what she said, he marches behind her and gets into the lift with her.
The moment the lift door closes, he pulls her towards him.
"WHAT? Leave me you..."
Omkara slams his mouth on hers and starts kissing her. Gauri couldn't resist his seductive kiss and kisses him back in equal vigor.
"Why did you kiss me?" Gauri asks him as they parted.
"To remind you how it was."
"Why?" Gauri asks breathlessly hoping that he would say something nice.
"You seemed to have forgot." Omkara tells her and then adds before she could say anything, "And of course you needed more practice. There was so much lacking in your kiss."
Gauri gasps in outrage. "My kiss was lacking? Your kiss is sloppy. It is disgusting. Your mouth stings!"
"You are the one who doesn't brush your teeth." Omkara reminds her as he walked out of the lift having reached the floor.
"ONCE! Just once." Gauri says as she walked out behind him.
"That was enough. It is etched into my memory."
"I will kill you!" Gauri says furiously.
"Kiss again?" Omkara asks as he turned to her in shock. "God woman! You are too sexual. Control your hormones."
"You Dog! You purposefully misheard! You know I said kill!"
"How can someone purposefully mishear? You can't control the sounds that comes to your ears! And once again, no more kisses. At least for today." Omkara tells her and turns away grinning as he pressed the doorbell.
Gauri growls behind him wanting to pounce on him and bite him like a rabid dog.
"You are back?" Inder says as he opened the door smiling.
Omkara smiles at him and was about to greet him, when Gauri pushes him to the side and gets into her house. "You have dropped me home safely. Now you can leave!"
"Gauri!" Inder calls her name in irritation.
"I HATE HIM!" Gauri tells Inder and marches into her room.
"I am sorry, Omkara." Inder tells him in an embarrassed tone.
"Don't worry. I don't take her outburst seriously." Omkara tells him with a chuckle.
"She is a little immature." Inder says with a smile seeing that Omkara isn't offended.
Omkara chuckles a little more hearing that, she is immature, there is no question of 'a little' there.
"Now, tell me what all happened." Inder tells him excitedly.
"You miss all this... huh?" Omkara asks him as he settled on the couch seeing his excitement.
"Yes. I am really passionate about this. This is the purpose of our life. Sadly, Gauri doesn't realize that."
"She does." Omkara tells him.
"She told you that?" Inder asks him eagerly.
Omkara laughs softly and asks him, "Do you really think she would tell me that?"
Inder shakes his head chuckling.
Omkara was telling Inder what all happened when Madhavi comes with tea for Omkara and Inder. As Omkara took the tea, he sees that Madhavi was glaring at him. He politely smiles at her. Seeing his wife's expression, Inder sighs sadly. Once Madhavi walks away, Omkara looks at Inder and grin.
"Gauri is taken after her." Inder says with a sigh making Omkara laugh softly. He had realized that the day before.
"Jhanvi Aunty!" Gauri cheerfully says as she hugged her.
"Gauri! I am so happy you came. I scolded Omki a lot for telling you all that." Jhanvi says as she hugged her.
"Good! He deserves it." Gauri says approvingly.
"Yes, he did." Jhanvi says smiling. "But then he did regret it when I made him understand."
Gauri scoffs, "Jhanvi Aunty, you have to do a favor for me."
"What?" Jhanvi asks lovingly.
"Don't tell that Omkara that I am coming to see you. You act as if you miss me. Let him suffer for being rude to me."
Jhanvi starts laughing hearing that and then agrees to Gauri's request, just so Gauri will have her sweet revenge.
Omkara was in his office, when Inder calls him.
"Omkara, I heard about this house that people are saying is haunted."
"Where is it?" Omkara asks him and he notes down the address. "Did you talk to Gauri?" Omkara asks him.
"She says she has retired." Inder says with a sigh.
Omkara chuckles. "I'll take care of it."
"Thank you. Only you can handle her and make her do all these."
Omkara takes his mobile and messages her. Be ready at 7, we need to check out a new place. Grinning he adds, xoxo
Gauri within a few seconds replies to his message.
Go hang! Thoo thoo thoo.
Omkara goes to Gauri's place after office.
"So, you ready?" Omkara asks Gauri as soon as she opens the door.
"I am not going anywhere with you!" Gauri says hands on hip as she glared into his eyes.
"You enjoy getting kidnapped or what?" Omkara asks her.
"I will kill you!"
Omkara gasps in shock and leaning a little closer to her he whispers to her, "Your parents are here. You can't kiss me in front of them. Kuch tho sharam karo."
"SHUT UP! AND GET OUT!"
"GAURI!" Inder shouts at her.
"If she doesn't want to do this then why are you forcing her?" Madhavi asks Inder furiously.
"I don't want to do this, Mama." Gauri pouts as she hurries to her mother and hug her.
"Madhavi... please... you need to understand. Gauri can't turn her back on this." Inder tells her in a calm tone.
"I WILL!" Gauri says stubbornly, and as if to prove her point, she turns around facing the other side giving her back to Inder.
"Get your things and go with Omkara, Gauri." Shaking his head, Inder tells her.
"No, Papa!"
"Don't make me say it again." Inder tells her in a serious tone. "This our duty."
"Inder..."
"No, Madhavi... just like how you can't understand my feelings on these, I can't understand your fear about all this. Gauri, go quickly." Inder tells her.
"I HATE MY LIFE!" Gauri furiously screams as she stampedes to her room. Madhavi imitating her, goes to her room and slams the door shut.
Inder sighs loudly and turns to look at Omkara.
"What am I going to do with these women?" Inder asks Omkara tiredly.
Omkara smiles in reply. Don't worry, I am going to take one off your hand very soon.
"You are not coming?" Omkara asks Inder politely.
"She is going to be more stubborn if I am there."
Omkara nods though mann mein ladoo phootta.
Gauri grudgingly come out of her room with the Ouija board.
"Let's go. I need to get back home quickly. I have a life other than this and I have made plans." Gauri tells Omkara.
Omkara rolls his eyes as he walked behind her.
"So what plans?" Omkara asks her as they got in the lift.
"Why do you want to know?" Gauri asks him irately.
"I was just asking conversationally." Omkara shrugs at her.
"You don't have to make small talks." Gauri tells him in disgust.
"No need to talk?" Omkara asks her in shock.
"YEAH! Do you want me to write it down for you? We don't have to talk."
"God Gauri! You are too much!" Omkara says in shock as he moved closer to her. "You have a one-track mind."
"What?" Gauri looks at him confused.
"But if this is what you want and if you insist." Omkara says sighing as he moved in and took her lips in his.
"Stop looking for reasons to kiss me you dog!" Gauri says breathlessly as she tried to look furious after they parted.
"What can I do, Gauri? Either you should stop kissing me back or be a good kisser. You are a work in progress and I don't leave things halfway through." Omkara tells her as he walked out.
"I am not a project and I am an awesome kisser!" Gauri says furiously.
"Please be a little louder, I don't think your parents heard you!" Omkara tells her in a whisper.
"You drive me crazy! Stop kissing me!" Gauri whispers as she looked around checking whether someone heard her.
"I am worried for you, Gauri." Omkara tells her in fake concern. "You have a lot to improve in the kissing department!"
"SHUT UP, YOU DOG!" Gauri screams furiously. "You keep kissing me because I am an awesome kisser and you can't resist it!"
"If that makes you feel better then..." Omkara says with a shrug as he opened the door for her.
"F U, Omkara... F U!"
"Now?" Omkara asks in fake shock as he looked around. "Isn't it a little too soon?"
"SHUT UP!" Gauri says furiously as she sat in the car furiously.
"Gauri..." Omkara starts in a serious tone.
"WHAT?" Gauri barks at him.
"When are you coming home to meet Mom?"
"I am not coming!" Gauri snaps though her heart started dancing in excitement seeing his desperation.
"I made a mistake, Gauri. Please don't take it out on Mom."
"Papa says that I get too attached. And you showed me that it is true. So, I am not going to get attached to any of the ghost relatives."
"But we are not like the rest!" Omkara says offended.
"How?"
"Come on, Gauri..." Omkara says not wanting to explain and let her get the upper hand.
"What come on? I am not going to do anything for you!" Gauri says then she adds, "Maybe if you begged... it might change my mind."
"I haven't reached that stage of desperation."
"So what stage of desperation are you at?" Gauri asks him with a cheeky smile.
"At the no desperation stage." Omkara tells her pissed.
"If you say so." Gauri says happily grinning.
Couple of weeks later, Omkara comes to Gauri's place to go visit yet another haunted house. Out of the 5 they have visited three had turned out to be just rumours.
"She is getting ready." Inder tells Omkara as he invited him to sit. Omkara nods as he sat down.
Few minutes later, Madhavi brings tea for Omkara.
"Madhavi, please check why Gauri is taking so long." Inder tells her.
"She doesn't want to go for all this." Madhavi tells him then turning to Omkara, Madhavi requests him. "Because of you only, Inder is forcing Gauri."
"Madhavi, that is not true." Inder starts but she ignores him and continues.
"Please try to understand. I don't know about all this ghost business, all I know is that she is my daughter and if she gets tangled with all this, it will ruin her life. Who will marry her? If someone finds out, then people are going to think and treat her differently. They will call her a witch or a fraud. Please, I request you, don't ruin her life."
"Her life is not going to be ruined. Why don't you understand that?" Inder asks her.
"If you are worried about Gauri's marriage then..." Omkara interjects softly.
"Then?" Inder asks curiously.
"I want to marry Gauri."
"You?" Madhavi asks shocked.
"Yes, I do."
Madhavi turns to Inder to see what he thought about it and sees him smiling.
"I knew it." Inder says smiling.
"You knew?" Madhavi asks shocked while Omkara looks at him curiously.
"He is her guide. Why do you think I gave him so much freedom?"
"Guide?" Omkara asks curiously.
"The one to show her the right path and help her in her journey." Inder explains.
"Oh!" Omkara muses with a smile.
"What about Gauri?" Madhavi asks Omkara.
"She likes me but she is too stubborn to admit it."
"When will your mother come to talk about the marriage?" Madhavi asks.
"I've already talked to Mom. We just found out about Priyanka sometime back... so we had decided that after everything settles down in our life, Mom and I would talk to you both about it." Omkara explains.
"Okay... nice." Madhavi says smiling happily.
Seeing her smiling so happily, Omkara says grinning, "I knew you would come around, sasuma."
Madhavi smiles at him. "Why is this girl taking so long?" Madhavi wonder loudly as she got up and went to check on Gauri. "Gauri, Omkara is waiting for you. Come quickly."
Inder and Omkara share a look seeing the change in Madhavi.
Next day, Omkara comes back to Gauri's place to take her to go to the new ghost's relative's place. Gauri was about to leave with him when Madhavi who had been setting the table for lunch asks Omkara in a loving tone, "Omkara, did you have lunch?"
"I did." Omkara tells her smiling.
"But have some from here."
"WHAT?" Gauri asks in shock as she heard her mother. "Mama... did you forget? He is our enemy!"
"Stop it, Gauri! Don't talk about him like that." Madhavi scolds her with a frown.
"What happened to you, Mama?" Gauri asks her in shock. "Why are you suddenly supporting him?"
"Because... Because I like him. He is a nice boy." Madhavi quickly tells her seeing Omkara shaking his head at her.
Gauri scoffs loudly. "Nice, my foot! He is a rude, egoistic man!"
"Stop it, Gauri! You will treat him with respect!" Madhavi scolds her.
Gauri's mouth drops open seeing the change in her mother. "You too, Brutus!" then she turns to Omkara and accuses him, "DO YOUR BLACK MAGIC ON EVERYONE!" then she marches out of the flat cursing Omkara loudly.
Omkara chuckles and turns to Madhavi, "You shocked her. It's okay. She will be fine soon."
"I know." Madhavi replies smiling.
"I'll see you later." Omkara tells her and starts to leave then he turns to her and ask, "Sasuma, can you ask Gauri to visit mom once in a while. She is missing her a lot."
"But she goes to your house every week."
"WHAT?"
"Yes, but she told your mother not to tell you." Madhavi softly whispers to him.
"Ahaan." Omkara muses. Mom traitor!
Omkara walks into his house quietly as he looked around for Gauri. His new spy i.e Sasuma, had informed him that Gauri had gone to meet his mom. As he walked towards his mother's room he could hear Gauri and Jhanvi talking and laughing.
"Ahem!" Omkara coughs as he leaned on the door and caught them red handed.
Gauri whips around in shock hearing him and seeing him, she closes her eyes in dread.
"Didn't know, that you had stolen my mother from right under my nose." Omkara says as he walked in.
"You stole my parents. I stole yours." Gauri says shrugging.
"Touche."
"Mom... I'll see you later. Now I need to talk to Gauri."
"I don't want to talk to you. Get lost!" Gauri says dismissing him with a wave of her hand.
"I want to ask you something, Gauri."
"I am not interested."
"If I say a please, will it help?"
"Try."
"Please?"
Gauri deliberates for a few seconds then shrugs, "No. I am still not interested."
"Excuse me, Mom." Omkara tells Jhanvi and he picks up Gauri and throws her over his shoulder, making Jhanvi gasps and Gauri scream in outrage.
"Put me down!" Gauri says struggling as Omkara walked into his room.
Omkara dumps her on his bed and says, "I want to give you a gift."
"What?" Gauri asks, forgiving him as he is going to give her some gift.
"One second." Omkara says smiling seeing her giving in. he quickly grabs the gift from the table and gives it to her.
"It's big." Gauri says smiling excitedly.
"Open it." Omkara tells her.
Gauri quickly rips off the wrapping and stops in shock seeing a Ouija board. It was made of glass and it was a beautiful piece.
"Ouija Board?" Gauri asks confused.
"I realized that the one you are using belongs to your dad."
"Hmmm." Gauri says not sure what to make of it.
"Why don't you give it a try?"
"Try it here? Is there a ghost here?" Gauri asks confused.
"Try it." Omkara says and he quickly picks up the board and places it on the table. "Come."
Gauri walks towards it and keeps her hand on the planchette. Omkara moves behind her and keeps his hand over hers.
"What are you doing?" Gauri asks frowning.
"I want to ask you a question."
"What?"
"Look at the board." Omkara says and Gauri confused looks at the board.
"I think you have finally lost it." Gauri tells him.
"Ssshhh."
Omkara slowly starts moving their hands.
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
"WHAT?" Gauri turns to him in shock.
Omkara in reply again moves their hands and Gauri turns to look at the board.
I LOVE YOU.
Seeing the message, Gauri shyly starts smiling.
"Marry me, Gauri." Omkara softly whispers to her. "I know even you too love me. Every time I have kissed you, I have felt your love. Don't try denying it."
Gauri shyly smiles, "Do you really think that after seeing all the lives that I had helped I wouldn't value my gift?"
"Then why did you always resist it?" Omkara asks confused.
"If I didn't, Papa wouldn't call you. You wouldn't feel compelled to take me."
Omkara chuckles hearing it. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Gauri turns around and says with a smirk. "Because I wanted to bring you to your knees."
"I am not on my knees!" Omkara scoffs.
"But still you asked me to marry you and told me you love me."
"Now you also say it." Omkara tells her.
"NO."
"God! You are so stubborn!" Omkara says irately.
Gauri grins hearing that.
"You drive me crazy!" Omkara says as he pulled her close to him and kissed her.
"I love you, Omkara. And yes, I will marry you." Gauri whispers to him as they pulled apart.
Hearing that Omkara with a smile starts kissing her and gently taking her hand, he slowly runs her finger on the underside of the Ouija board, and runs her fingers over the engraved writing - Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi.
