COMMENT:
The Lord is always willing to forgive and help us. All we have to do is seek Him.
Seeking God sounds so easy, doesn't it? It sounds so simple. But yet we find it not to be so simple.
Why do we find it so difficult to turn to God? Because we are sinners. We'd rather be consoled and comforted by things that easily satisfy our flesh.
Turning to the Lord is not something that makes our flesh feel good. In fact, it hurts when He convicts us and tells us to lay down our idols.
But if we desire to do God's will and earn a glorified place in Heaven, the momentary prick of conviction and the laying down of idols will not seem as bad as the eternal suffering we would receive in the fiery pit of hell.
