you laid facing your love. george looked back at you, a smile forming on his face. he had his arm over your waist, hand on your back, tracing a line going frantic on your back.
"you used to hate me touching your back. or touching you at all."
he quietly said, a small giggle following.
"i was six, g. i was over it as soon as you stopped but you were a boy with boy germs, it freaked me out."
"am i still a boy, with boy germs?"
you nodded, adding the punchline to the joke he'd set up.
"you said you'd marry me as your apology for touching me."
"and now look at us.. actually married, for real."
"we did good, my love."
you admitted, the pair of you both knowing you were hopelessly in love with each other.
"well i know i couldn't have done better at all."
