That, or she's finally gone completely mad.

The next morning, Trixie woke up in Katya's arms. She smiled, enjoying her warmth for just a little longer. After a few minutes of staring at Katya's adorable sleeping face, Trixie sighed. She knew they both had work to get to.
After their kiss yesterday, neither of the girls spoke about it, mostly because they didn't know what it meant.
Trixie lightly tapped Katya's nose until her big blue eyes fluttered open.
"Mornin' sleepy head" Trixie whispered.
Katya smiled once she saw Trixie's face. She loved seeing her in such a pure and vulnerable state. Bed hair, no makeup and slightly dazed eyes looked so good on her.
"Good morning Кукла" she said, her voice still raspy from sleeping.
"We should probably get ready for work." Trixie said as she saw that Katya had no intention of leaving the bed.
Katya kissed Trixie's forehead, tightening her grip around her waist.
"I don't wanna" she pouted.
Trixie laughed at her childish whining.
'This woman will be the death of me." She thought.
"Don't make me fire you miss Замолодчикова." Trixie said, smirking. Katya gasped and pulled away, giving Trixie a fake hurt look.
"How dare you?" She asked dramatically.
Trixie just laughed and threw a pillow at her.
"Go get changed."

The diner was busy as usual. Katya had to spend five whole minutes explaining to an old man that extra pancakes cost extra money.
She was cleaning a table when Bob came up to her.
"Hey Katya, do you know what day it is tomorrow?" She asked.
Katya gave her a questioning look, titling her head sideways.
"Sunday?" She said.
Bob sighed.
"Of course she didn't tell you, she probably doesn't even remember herself." Bob said, shaking her head disapprovingly.
"Anyway tomorrow is Trixie's birthday, Kim and I wanted to throw her a little party at my house, you're coming, right?" She asked, leaning on the counter.
"Sure, i'd love to." Katya smiled brightly, thinking about how it would be like to see Trixie with her friends.
"Great! Don't tell her though, she thinks she's coming to dogsit for me." She giggled at her own excuse, then went back to taking people's orders.
Katya chuckled, there was a lot to look forward to, apparently.

~The next day~

Katya was extremely excited about Trixie's birthday. She had to act as if everything was normal though, in order to not ruin the surprise. She had to stop herself countless times in the morning, it was hard not to at least wish Trixie a happy birthday. But she reminded herself it'll all be worth it.
Katya kept Trixie busy all day, knowing that she'd have less of a chance at finding out about the party if she was occupied with work.

Trixie and Katya were now right outside of bob's house. Katya gave Trixie the excuse of "I really really really love dogs and I heard that Bob has a husky!" When Trixie asked her why she would want to come and dogsit with her. Trixie glanced over at Katya as she took out Bob's spare key from her purse.
"What're you smiling about?" Trixie raised a brow at Katya's huge grin, that's pretty much been there all day.
Katya shrugged.
"Do I need a reason to smile when i'm with you?" She replied nonchalantly. Trixie nearly choked on air, she wasn't expecting such an effortlessly flirty answer.
"Fair enough." she said, fiddling with the keys.

Trixie opened the door. The room was pitch black. The second she turned on the lights, everyone yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRIXIE!" At the very top of their lungs. Trixie jumped in shock, stared at the girls for a few seconds, then began to laugh hysterically. Thank god Kim filmed her reaction, because it was priceless.
Right now, only Trixie's closest friends were in the room. Kim, Bob, Shea, Courtney, Bianca, Adore and of course Katya. It was Katya's first time meeting most of them. Based on first impressions, they all seemed lovely.
"So Katya, how did you and Trixie get to meet?" Adore asked, sipping on her drink. Katya's throat went dry. She couldn't tell them the truth yet, could she? 'Oh yeah I was homeless before Trixie found me sleeping on a bench' sounded messed up in more than one way. Before Katya could answer, Trixie spoke.
"She came to the diner in the middle of the night and asked for coffee, I couldn't help but get intrigued." She laughed. Katya Internally thanked her for telling only half the truth. They'll find out the rest later, she wanted Trixie to enjoy her party. The girls laughed as well, thank god.
They continued chatting, the topics getting weirder and weirder the more they drank. Katya learned that Bianca was actually a sweetheart, Adore and Kim were absolutely insane and that Trixie's cheeks turn adorably red when she drinks. About half an hour later, more people began to arrive. Apparently, Bob planned a much bigger party than just close friends.
As the house got more and more crowded, Katya started to feel a bit uncomfortable. She sat on the couch and watched Trixie, Bob, Adore and a bunch of other people play a drinking game. It was amusing at first, but after a while it can get boring to watch others drink, especially when you're the only one sober.
Katya decided to step outside for some fresh air.

She stood on the balcony, looking down at the distant houses. She was happy that Trixie was enjoying herself. She just wished it could've been in a more sober way. Katya imagined all the different ways she'd celebrate Trixie's birthday with her if she could. Simple, sweet things like going to the beach or cooking her dinner.
Katya took another deep breath before heading back inside to find Trixie.
She searched for Trixie among the other drunk adults who were either making out, unconscious or still drinking.
Katya stopped dead in her tracks when she saw her. There she was, Trixie in all her glory, grinding against a man. He was sitting on a couch with Trixie on his lap. His hands were on her ass as they made out sloppily. Katya could see him slip his hand under Trixie's skirt, which made Trixie moan, Katya assumed from the way her mouth moved and her eyes rolled back. Katya forced herself to look away. She made her way through the crowd and out the front door.

Once she was out, she sat on the porch. Katya cried. She cried uncontrollably and didn't know why. Trixie wasn't her's. They weren't dating, they've never even had sex. So why did it hurt so much to see her like that with someone else? She couldn't get the Image of Trixie and that guy out of her mind. She kept seeing it in her head until she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Katya? You okay?" Bianca asked.
"Peachy." She answered. Bianca sighed, then sat next to her.
"What happened?" She asked.
Katya looked down, another tear falling down from her nose to the ground.
"Trixie... I saw her with some guy. They were making out and it was pretty intense, to say the least. I don't know why it pisses me off. Trixie has every right to be with whoever she wants." Katya spoke quietly.
Bianca sighed and put a reassuring hand on Katya's back.
"I saw the way you looked at her. I also saw how she looked at you... when she was sober, that is. You have every right to be upset. But hey, i'm sure she won't even remember that guy in the morning. You should figure out your feelings and talk to her. She's been through some rough shit in the past. Having someone like you around is probably the best thing for her."
She said, giving Katya a sad smile.
Katya then hugged Bianca.
"Thanks." She said.
"Yeah, don't tell anyone I was being nice. Plus, I spent over an hour looking for another sober person anyway." Bianca joked, earning a chuckle from Katya.

The two girls were talking about Adore and Bianca's relationship when Bob came and disturbed their  conversation.
"Katya? Oh thank god i've searched the whole damn place for you! Listen, Trixie threw up on someone and then passed out. Do you think you could manage to take her home?" She said. Katya could hear traces of panic in her voice. Katya was secretly pleased with the fact that Trixie had threw up on the basturd who was shoving his tongue down her throat. Suits him right for trying to fuck a drunk girl.
Katya and Bianca got up and followed Bob. She lead them to the kitchen, in which Trixie was passed out on the floor.
The three girls lifted her up, eventually tossing her in the backseat of her own car.
"Do you drive Katya?" Bianca asked as they attempted to put the seatbelt on Trixie.
"Nope." She said. Which was half a lie. Back in Russia she got her driver's license as soon as she could. But many years have passed since then and America had different laws. Not to mention that her license had been expired for god knows how long.
"I'll drive then. Buckle up." Bianca said, starting the car. 'Trixie really does have some amazing friends' Katya thought.
The ride back to Trixie's was pleasantly silent. Katya was still thinking about what she saw Trixie do at the party. Every time she closed her eyes she saw them together.

When the short ride ended, Katya bid Bianca goodnight before dragging Trixie into her flat. As they got to the door, Trixie groaned.
Katya smiled, she realised the girl in her arms was starting to wake up.
Katya opened the door, then carried Trixie over the the couch.

"Kat- ow fuck, my head" she mumbled, putting a hand on her forehead.
Katya came back from the kitchen  with a glass of water and Advil.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." Katya said, giving Trixie the water and pills.
"Thanks, you're a lifesaver." She said, taking it happily. Katya watched her as she took the pills, the water dripping down her chin as she drank it messily. It formed a wet trail down her neck, then disappeared where her cleavage ended. Katya looked down as she realised she was staring, mentally slapping herself. Now wasn't the time to admire Trixie's beauty.
"Get some rest. I'll sleep on the couch tonight." Katya said. She didn't think sleeping with Trixie in the same bed would be good for her mental health right now.
Trixie tried to argue on her way to bed, but as soon as she laid down, she immediately fell asleep.

Katya sighed. She knew that Her debt to Trixie must be repaid, but it was getting harder and harder to hide her feelings. Katya wanted more. She thought that Trixie might want the same. But after tonight she wasn't so sure anymore.
