The tremors
Restless nights
All I do is worry
Turning on the lights
I cant sleep alone anymore
Until I heard a faint knock on the door
Cautiously walking
The door knob is warm
They keep knocking
Becoming louder than the storm
The door bursts open
Raindrops touch my face
My loving home is broken
Vulnerability in a vast space
I turn around to run
But the air has a taste
Fowl smoke grows thicker
My heart begins to race
I wake up
And pull my blanket over my head
I feel like I'm stuck
In every dream I wake up dead
When will they stop
When will I feel peace again
Under my covers I hear a knock
Pulling them to the side
I see they're trying to bust the lock
I'm trying to find a place to hide
I thought this was just a dream?
Will I wake up this time?
They seem to move with urgency
Wanting to take what's mine
