kisses and tea
~[|]~

"I can't believe I let you take me here." Frank grumbled as they strolled past a few of the stalls at a local festival that had opened up on the occasion of it almost being Halloween.

Gerard was cuddled into Frank's shoulder as they walked, giggling away like he was a thirteen year old girl.

"What's wrong with festivals?" He asked, looking around excitedly.

Gerard always loved going to fares and amusement parks, any place with cotton candy and games really. He and Mikey used to go together as kids but as the grew older Mikey stopped wanting to go and Gerard didn't want to look like some creep walking around a kid littered place by himself.

"Absolutely nothing, it's the fact that you paid for my entrance that bothers me." Frank said pouting like a child, and Gerard could feel his heart swell up at the sight.

He kissed Frank's cheek before walking past one of the stalls with darts and water balloons. There were stuffed animals as prizes littering not only the ceilings but the walls too.

"Well," Gerard grinned jokingly, "you can win me a teddy?"

Frank fought of an obvious smile, "And what will I get in return?"

"Hmm, you'll just have to find out." Gerard teased, watching as Frank swallowed thickly.

"Coolio." Frank chocked out, walking closer to the stall.

Gerard's smile deflated rather quickly though, because he was only joking when he had said that he wanted Frank to win him something- he didn't actually want him to waste his tickets or time on him.

"Frankie, I was kiddin', don't actually spend your money on me." He said hurriedly, attempting to yank him back.

"Oh hush, Gerard, I'm trying to prove a point... and maybe get a kiss." He grinned, handing over a ticket from the roll of tickets they had purchased a few moments before.

The man in the stall smiled and handed over four darts, gesturing towards the yellow balloons adorning the wooden section of the back wall.

Gerard let go of Frank as they listened to the man speak enthusiastically.

"If you get three or more of the smaller balloons, you get a big prize, if you get three or more of the big balloons you get a medium one and two of anything you get a small toy." He explained, stepping aside for Frank to take his shot.

Frank seemed hesitant though, and Gerard couldn't help but tease him a bit.

"Looks like you're strugglin' there, Frankie." Gerard giggled, laughing harder when Frank poked his side with his index finger.

"You just watch your mouth, you don't work at a bar for three years without learning how to throw a couple darts." Frank said confidently, soon throwing the four darts one after another, hitting exactly four of the smallest balloons on the wall, causing Gerard to almost chock on his spit.

He grinned proudly, bowing forward before Gerard laughed and kissed his cheek in gratitude.

"Good job," The man said with a bright smile, the kind of smile that would make anyone have a nice feeling in their gut, "you can pick any of the higher hanging teddies."

Frank looked up, and Gerard watched him scanning over his options before pointing at an adorable green dragon hanging just above his reach. It was quickly cut down, and Frank accepted it with a polite 'thank you.'

Gerard smiled over at him and cuddled into him as they turned to keep walking. He thought it was the end of it, Frank had won and now owned a dragon plushy, he was about to drag him towards a candy apple stand when Frank pulled him back and turned him so they were facing one another

"Hey, aren't we gonna go get candy now?" Gerard asked softly as Frank just looked over at him with a glint in his eyes that Gerard couldn't really put a meaning to.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Frank asked, handing the soft plushy over to Geared, the short distance between them seeming even smaller with the dragon in the middle.

Gerard looked down at it was a frown, "No, Frankie, I was just kidding, that's yours to keep."

"Gee, don't be stupid." Frank smiled, attempting to place the toy in Gerard's hands.

"Frank," Gerard sighed. "I-"

"If you don't take it, I swear I'll start crying right here, right now." Frank threatened, his eyebrows raised in challenge.

Gerard smiled shyly to himself before giving in and taking it from Frank's hands. Frank smiled back at him and wrapped an arm around Gerard's waist, he kissed him chastely on the lips making him let out an embarrassingly childish giggle.

"Oh my God you're adorable." Frank said, staring directly at Gerard.

"Shuddup." Gerard said quietly, kissing him back before finally grabbing Frank's hand and pulling him towards the candy apples.

Gerard and Frank were parked outside of Gerard's apartment building, they were kissing slowly in Frank's car, both of them leaning over the gears in order to connect they lips. It was tender, and gentle, and Gerard could feel the blood coursing around his body, eliciting a tingling sensation.

Gerard made a small keening noise when Frank bit his bottom lip, pulling it back by his teeth.

The front of Frank's shirt was bunched up in Gerard's hands soon enough, and Frank's hands were on his outer thighs.

After a few more minutes, the two of them pulled away, panting slightly.

"Do you, maybe want to come in for some coffee?" Gerard spoke slightly louder than a whisper, quietly admiring Frank's bitten lips and flushed cheeks.

"It's a bit late for coffee, don't you think?" Frank smiled softly, his thumb rubbing little circles on Gerard's hips making him almost forget the entire English language.

"Well, I have tea?" Gerard pushed, looking up at Frank through his dark eyelashes and slowly letting go of Frank's shirt after realising he had still been grabbing at it.

"Sounds great." Frank muttered, he kissed Gerard one last time before shutting the car off completely and getting out.

The two held hands shyly as they walked up to Gerard's apartment, only letting go for Gerard to open the door quickly with his keys. Gerard's plushy tucked safely under his arm as he did so, making sure not to squish him.

Him and Frank had actually decided to name him Green Pea on account of the fact that he was green, and petite as Gerard described him.

Gerard smiled back at Frank as he fully opened his door, allowing the man to walk in. The two made their way into the living room, Gerard peeling off his thin black jacket, Frank soon doing the same.

He looked over at Frank, who was looking around the living room, wearing only his red and black stripped sweater. Frank soon caught his stare, and sent him a boyish smile.

Gerard's cheeks took on a pink tint as he cleared his throat nervously, "Um, what kind of tea d'you like?"

"The kind you make." Frank said with a little wink, making Gerard nod awkwardly to cover up the giggles threatening to erupt.

Gerard retreated back into the kitchen, filling up the kettle with tap water before placing it back on the kitchen counter. He got out two mugs, one Batman one and a plain black one.

As he waited for the water to boil, he quickly attempted to flatten down his fluffy red hair, also taking the liberty to straighten out his Morrissey sweatshirt. He toed off his shoes and went towards the door to leave them there, nearly squeaking when he found Frank walking into the kitchen.

"Oh, hi." He let out a small breath, a small smile shining through his actions.

"Hi." Frank laughed, pecking Gerard's cheek as he stood there awkwardly holding his shoes.

Gerard chucked his shoes near the door and went back into the kitchen, hearing the kettle stop whistling. Frank was leaning against the counter as Gerard poured the water into the mugs, soon placing a tea bag into each mug.

He had decided on ginger, soon passing over the tea after having added a bit of milk.

Frank accepted it and took a small sip, wincing at the hot taste. Gerard giggled around his mug, blowing away some of the steam as he dragged Frank by his hand to the living room.

"You wanna watch a movie?" He asked as they took a seat next to each other on the couch. There was a safe distance between the two, both using the ends of the couch to balance their tea on.

"Sure, Sugar. What d'you wanna watch?" Frank asked, smacking his lips as he took a small sip of his drink.

Gerard almost laughed at Frank's weird mannerism before grabbing the remote, "Silence of The Lambs?"

"You are straight out of my dreams." Frank said with a wide grin, sitting closer to Gerard to wrap an arm around his waist after setting down his mug.

Gerard didn't say anything just made a small whiny noise out of embarrassment and buried his face in Frank's neck. Frank chuckled before pressing a kiss to his head, bringing the arm that wasn't wrapped around Gerard's torso to brush some of the hair out of his face.

Gerard turned his head a bit so he was facing Frank, his head still propped on his shoulder comfortably, his red cheeks were on display and with the way Frank was looking at him, they only seemed to darken.

"You're so beautiful." Frank mumbled quietly, his thumb was brushing over Gerard's warm cheek, and Gerard's heart felt like it was banging against his rib cage so hard it would shatter all of his bones.

"No I'm not." Gerard said quietly, looking towards his hands, a small frown playing on his lips.

Frank seemed to return the frown, lifting his chin up with his index finger.

"What?" He asked, his eyes boring into Gerard's.

"'M not beautiful, I'm far from it actually." Gerard laughed dryly, he let his fingers play gently with the material of Frank's sweater.

"What makes you say that?" Frank asked, looking at him expectantly, though his eyes looked almost sad at Gerard's words.

"I'm really pale and I've got weird legs, and a weird nose." Gerard mumbled, his eyes darting down away from Frank's stare.

"Gerard, you are undoubtedly the prettiest thing I've ever seen." Frank muttered.

Gerard felt his face practically tingle in embarrassment and nerves, "You don't mean that."

"Of course I do," Frank said, almost sounding offended that Gerard would think he'd lie, "you make every other living thing look like a laundry mat."

Frank shifted them a bit so that Gerard was partially laying down, Frank hovering over him closely.

"Frankie," Gerard said quietly with a breathless sigh, "you always make me feel so special."

"That's because you are." Frank whispered before planting a soft kiss to Gerard's parted lips.

They were silent for a moment, enjoying the sweet and romantic air around them. Frank still had one hand on Gerard's cheek and one hand on his hip whilst Gerard let his hands play with Frank's gorgeous hair.

Frank looked like he was about to speak again when weirdly enough there was a knock at the door. They both looked confused and Gerard muttered an apology before getting up and walking over to the entrance.

When he looked through the peephole, he saw fucking Mikey holding an overnight bag and his phone. Gerard let out a deep sigh, opening the door hastily.

"Hey Gerard, how's the virginity hanging?" Mikey asked with a snort as he pushed past his brother and marched into his home like he owned the place.

"Mikey, this isn't a good time-" Gerard tried, but Mikey was already ditching his bag by the kitchen and wandering down the hall.

"Wow, you actually cleaned up for o-" He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Frank sitting awkwardly on the couch.

"Oh." Mikey mumbled, looking back at Gerard.

Gerard nodded as if to tell him to get out already, but Mikey just sent him a boyish grin, a mischievous glint taking place in his eyes.

"So you must be the reason Gerard is always smily and lovesick?" Mikey practically accused, patting Frank on the head, causing the shorter man to turn bright pink. Though Gerard didn't miss the way he looked over at him with a shy smile.

"Mikey, can you please go? I have company." Gerard sighed again, crossing his arms.

"Don't get your panties all in a pretzel, I'll just stay in my room for the rest of the night." Mikey declared, picking up his bag that had been left on the floor.

"You don't have a room.." Gerard said in confusion.

"Well, I guess your room will have to do." Mikey grinned before disappearing through the hall.

Gerard smiled apologetically to Frank who looked extremely confused and just a tad bit uncomfortable.

"Um, I'm sorry. He doesn't exactly know boundaries." Gerard said softly as he sat down next to him again, kissing him chastely.

Frank smiled gently, pecking Gerard's lip in return.

"I probably should get going," He said quietly, "I've got a busy schedule of sleeping and practicing how to make martinis."

Gerard laughed softly, "What're you talking about, you make amazing martinis."

"Says the boy who's never tried them." Frank smiled, he pressed a small kiss to Gerard's neck before shifting a bit and surprising Gerard by picking him up

Goddamnit, why did Frank always insist on carrying him? He had legs, he could walk.

"Frank!" Gerard squealed with a laugh, wiggling as Frank carried him bridal style to the door.

"Put me down!"

Frank laughed, setting him down with minimal effort, "Fine, but not because you told me to."

"Unbelievable." Gerard said just above a whisper, pressing his lips to Frank to form a goodbye kiss.

Frank returned it and sighed into it, squeezing Gerard's hips one more time before pulling back.

"Thank you for the tea, though I don't think I drank much." Frank said around a smile.

"It's fine, next time I'll make sure to build us a nice wall to keep Mikey out." Gerard promised, wrapping his arms around Frank's neck.

"Sounds perfect." Frank said, he kissed Gerard's lips one last time before opening the door, "Call me if you get a break tomorrow, okay?"

"You know I always do." Gerard rolled his eyes playfully.

He kissed Frank's cheek and mumbled a final goodbye before closing the door carefully, turning to lean against it with a lovesick grin.

"That was so gay." Mikey snickered, his head popping out from the living room.

"Oh fuck off, Mikes." Gerard said, but he couldn't quite fight off the grin on his face.

God, what was Frank doing to him?
