Quirk: Bunny

For the third time in a row I walked out of Cementoss' Modern Literature class carrying a paper from our last test which had the score 98% written on the front in red ink. I flicked through the feedback consisting mostly of praise, but trying to find constructive feedback on that which I failed. I had been getting 96%-99%, and I was so eager to finally reach 100%. Cementoss refused me extra tutoring sessions however, as he needed to try and focus his attention on Sato and Kaminari who really weren't understanding this subject. My parents were very proud of my grades in general, as across the board I was getting over 90% in my academic studies, so I snapshotted a picture of my grade and sent it straight to them.

"You got 98%? Again?" Momo whined, showing me her 94%. "I'm not used to not being at the top! W-wait... no I didn't mean that-," she said awkwardly rubbing the back of her head.

"Congratulations (l/n), although I can't say we're at all surprised," Iida said.

"How the hell do you do it? It's so hard!" Kaminari whined. I thanked everyone for their kind words, us all heading out and back to the common room and when we there I made myself a coffee whilst still reading through the notes. It'd seemed Kaminari had already forgotten about the class as he was sitting back on the sofa with his knees up on the coffee table, something which Iida was currently trying to tell him off for. Uraraka suddenly came bouncing into the room excitedly, followed by Midoriya and Todoroki who both shared a glance with each other before looking over to me. Quickly I looked back down at my hot drink, a pink tint coming to my cheeks.

"Hey (l/n)," Todoroki's voice came from beside me. The boy had always intimidated me, but like every girl in the class, I found him incredibly attractive. Perhaps I was the girl who found him the most attractive, maybe developing a little bit of a crush on him. "Congratulations on your score."

"Thank you Todoroki," I smiled politely. "If you don't mind me asking, what was your score?"

"71%. I don't want my old man to find out this score, I think he'd go mental if he found out I wasn't the brightest and best in the class," he said bitterly. "Can I ask you something?"

"Y-yes of course," I mumbled, internally swearing at myself for stuttering.

"Seeing as you're so good at the subject, I was wondering if perhaps you could tutor me?" He asked taking me completely by surprise.

"Of course, whatever you need," I said, nodding. "Plus it might help me revise some more as well! In fact I have some time now if you wanted?"

"Sure, let me grab my bag and I'll meet you back here. We can study over in the library," he suggested and I nodded again. He turned to walk back towards his room, and I put the takeaway lid on my reusable coffee cup, hauling my rucksack filled with books onto my back. I awaited the boys arrival, admittedly quite nervous. Watching the lift doors open and seeing him stepping out with his hand casually in his pocket and wearing his stoic expression made me blush. I caught Jirou and Yaoyorozu both send me a wink as Todoroki approached me. "Thank you for doing this for me, I really appreciate it."

"No worries! The big exams are coming up, and you don't want to let your father down," I smiled.

"Honestly I couldn't care less about my old man. I don't care whether he's pleased or not, I just want to do well and I know you'll be able to help me with that," he said, opening the door for me to step through.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot your father was a touchy subject for you... anyway, is there any particular subject in Modern Literature you're struggling with?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Not really anything in particular, just the subject in general. In fact... I kind of need help in Midnight's classes too," he admitted, rubbing the back of his head.

"That's okay, for the last mock I managed to get 97% so I'll help any way I can," I smiled. He nodded and glanced at me quickly, him adorning a cute slight blush. We reached the library and settled down behind a row of bookshelves, away from prying eyes so we could have some privacy as we studied. I got out all of my text books, Todoroki not realising how many I had.

"Of course I have a fair few, these are all on the recommended reading from the schools website. I don't think people realise how much these books will help. I think you should invest in them," I said, scooting my chair around to his side and bringing with me some of the textbooks. Subtly I tried to get as close to the boy as I could without being too obvious. I glanced quickly up to him to find him staring back down at me, flashing me an ever so quick slight smile, which I returned. "So lets start with Modern Literature, then we can move onto Modern Hero Art History. Both of these subjects are quite tough, so difficulty is understandable."

"You don't even know the word 'difficulty'," Todoroki teased.

"I haven't gotten 100% yet!" I defended, which only made us both chuckle. I sighed and looked back down at the work, beginning to explain some of the simpler chapters to begin with, asking him what he found difficult. I wasn't used to tutoring, but Todoroki assured me I was doing a good job. I got him to try and answer a few exam style questions which he did, almost managing to score top marks. "See, you're improving already!" I said with a smile.

"Thanks, (l/n)," he said with sincerity, looking deep into my (e/c) eyes.

"You're welcome," I mumbled, unable to tear away from his heterochromatic ones.

"It's almost 20:00, we should probably head back to the dorms," he said, putting his books back in his bag. I gasped, checking my watch, unable to believe we had been in here for almost four hours. Not only that but we had completely missed dinner, and I hadn't felt hungry in the slightest. Perhaps it's because I was so distracted by the incredibly handsome man sitting right next to me. "Ready to go?" He broke me from my trance.

"Oh! Right, yes... let me just-," I mumbled to myself as I shoved everything back into my bag in no particular order.

"Can I ask for you to tutor me again? You're so much help and it was fun," he said quietly, catching me off guard completely.

"Yes of course! Are you sure you want me?" I asked carefully and he laughed a little. I had never seen him laugh before.

"Of course I do."

That reply was enough to give me goosebumps as I clung onto my bag strap and looked into his gorgeous eyes. It seemed we shared a special moment before a voice coming form the speakers interrupted us. "The library will be closing in five minutes. Please pack up your belongings." The pair of us smiled awkwardly at each other before he politely gestured me to walk in front. The walk back to the dorm rooms was filled with small talk, me carefully asking about what his father was like. What surprised me was that he was willing to talk to me about it. I was pretty sure he hadn't even spoken to Midoriya about this kind of thing, so I felt quite special hearing about his troubles like this. Once back in the dorms we parted ways with a smile at each other and a quick wave, before the lift doors shut blocking him from my view. Once back in my room I collapsed on my bed, breathing out, unable to stop thinking about him, and realising now that I definitely did have a crush on the boy.

A few weeks later we were studying almost everyday after school in the library. We had grown extremely close, but I wanted to closer. I was too scared of the inevitable rejection, so I decided to keep my feelings inside. The only person I would voice them too is my best friend Mezo, although he couldn't seem less interested if he tried. Still, it was nice to have someone to vent to, and occasionally he'd give pretty good advice.

Todoroki had now suggested that we not bother going to the library to study, that we just stay in the dorm common room so we can stay up as late as we wanted. That was a good idea until Kaminari, Sero and Mina intruded on us shouting about how we were on a study date, completely embarrassing the pair of us. At first we tried to ignore it and hoped that after a while they'd give up but of course they wouldn't. Mineta added to it, crying out 'why does Todoroki get all the babes?'. After Mineta's over-dramatic outburst, Todoroki actually pulled together all of our books, shoved them in his bag, froze Mineta's leg then grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the lifts. I was shocked but didn't complain. I quickly looked back at the four, Mina had her thumbs up, Kaminari was attempting to wink and Sero was whistling. Mineta was swearing loudly, struggling against the ice. Once the lift door closed, Todoroki turned to me. "Sorry about that, they were really beginning to annoy me."

"Don't worry, they were annoying me too," I giggled. I glanced down at our entwined hands, looking back up at him expectantly but he shyly pulled his hand away, standing facing the doors wearing his stoic and unreadable expression. I gulped and followed him back to his bedroom where he opened the door for me, allowing me to come in to finish our study session. He had a beautiful room, one I always envied, which I told him.

"Eh, it's all hard work. I can't actually sleep in a room that doesn't look like my own unless I feel really comfortable... sounds childish, but-,"

"No, it doesn't sound childish. It's understandable," I smiled. He returned the smile, nodding as he set his stuff down on his low table. I knelt beside him, unpacking my bag also and we began to carry on from where we left off downstairs. My phone buzzed and there was a text from Mezo.

Mezo: I heard about what happened in the common room, where are you? You're not in your room?

20:20

Me: No I'm in Todoroki's. We're still studying

20:22

"You and Shoji seem pretty tight," Todoroki suddenly said.

"Huh?"

"Are you guys together?" He asked, plain as day and my eyes widened.

"W-what? No, no no no, we're just close friends, he's my neighbour and we've grown up together so he's just a close friend of mine, he's not my boyfriend, no," I said quickly, panicking slightly and hoping he of all people didn't think that.

"Do you like him?"

"No, and he doesn't like me either, we're more like brothers and sisters, we've never thought of each other like that before," I said.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to pry," he whispered.

"It's okay, don't apologise... I just wouldn't want you of all people to think I was with him," I whispered, refusing to look at him.

"Really? Why?" He asked, surprise evident in his voice.

"I-I... no, it's nothing," I said, flicking through the textbooks and landing on the page we left off from. I thought I had the confidence to admit my feelings to him there and then but I was wrong, the thought of him rejecting me still played in my mind and I enjoyed our study sessions too much to let them go. Immediately I delved back into the world of Modern Literature, hoping he'd forget about what I just said. He didn't press on it, so I thought perhaps he did.

Our next few study sessions were to take place in his room so it was more private and more intimate, us having as much time as we could possibly want to go over the subjects. He was constantly thanking me as the teachers had noticed an upwards correlation between his grades and were praising him on it. Each time he was praised my heart beat a little faster, happy to know I had helped him get there but I was scared that now he wouldn't want my help with studying, but I was very wrong.

"You're really getting the hang of this, you'll beat me in no time I'm sure," I said with a cheeky smile.

"Oh please, I'm still only getting 90% and what are you on, 95%?"

"97%..."

"See! You're still way better then me," he laughed.

"Well you're way better at the physical lessons, you're so fit!" I laughed before realising what I had just said. "A-and what I mean by that is - er - well, I-I-,"

"Thanks, the only reason I excel at that is my constant training back home. I'm in the training room almost all the time when I'm home, my old man has a go at me if I'm not. I'm past caring though," he said and I smiled, nodding. "Say... perhaps you'd like to come over and study at mine this weekend?"

"W-wow, really? I don't want to be any trouble for you," I said timidly.

"You won't be any trouble, it'll be nice to have some friendly company over. No one from school has been over to my house yet and I'd like you to be the first," he said with a smile which I reciprocated.

"Will your father be there?" I asked carefully but Todoroki merely laughed.

"No, he'll be at his office. Now he's the Number One Hero, work has been keeping him quite busy thankfully. Don't worry, you won't see him this weekend," he said with confidence. I smiled, perhaps his place was going to be our new study location? "So Saturday? Let's say 13:00? Here's my address," he said, jotting it down on a bit of paper and handing it over to me.

"I'll be there," I said politely before checking my watch. "Goodness it's half ten, I should probably go back to my dorm room, I don't want any of the teachers catching me in here. I don't think they'd be particularly pleased. Goodnight, Todoroki," I said, picking up my books and heading to the door.

"Wait," he said suddenly, stopping me as I placed my hand on the door handle. "You can - er - you can call me Shoto," he mumbled. My blush intensified.

"Okay... goodnight... Shoto," I whispered, and I saw a slight smile appear on his face.

"Goodnight, (y/n)," he mumbled after me. I opened the door, catching one last glimpse of my handsome crush. Immediately I raced towards the lifts, pulling out my phone and calling Mezo up to tell him what just happened. He actually seemed fairly interested, surprised that Todoroki would invite me over to his and let me call him by his first name.

"That's exactly what I thought! Mezo... do you think that perhaps means... he maybe likes me back?" I dared suggested.

"Listen, (y/n), you know I'm not good at this kind of thing but I'd suggest just seeing how Saturday goes. It seems there's a possibility he may make a move but again, I'm not good at this kind of thing. Speak to a girl, Uraraka or Ashido, they'll be able to give you better advice," he said, which was true.

"Thanks anyway Mezo. Goodnight, see you tomorrow," I said.

"See you," he replied before hanging up.

- Timeskip -

That Saturday morning I put a lot of thought into what I was going to wear. Mezo was relaxing in my lounge as I bothered him about what I should wear, but he was paying next to no attention. In the end I went with a denim skirt, a cropped white long sleeved top and pulled together a brown leather shoulder bag with all of the books and textbooks I needed to study with. "Are you excited for your date?" Mezo asked.

"It's not a date! We're just studying!" I squealed.

"Mm-hm," he mumbled back. I rolled my eyes.

"I have to get going so move your bum off of my sofa," I said, pulling him up and pushing him towards the door. I waved him goodbye as I made my way over to the Todoroki household, but as I walked I realised the wealth of the neighbourhood I was entering. Everyone had tall neatly cut hedges with automatic gates, and over them you could see the fourth and fifth floors to the houses, and how incredibly posh they all looked. The majority of them had traditional Japanese exteriors, some of them adding on modern twists.

I stood outside the incredible gates which had the 'Todoroki' plaque just to the left of it. Judging by the size of their land, they really were wealthier then I thought. I tried to steady my nerves, feeling slightly out of place as I carefully rung the buzzer on the outside of the gates. "Hello?" A male voice I didn't recognise answered.

"E-er... hi, I'm (y/n), I'm looking for Shoto...?" I mumbled tentatively.

"Oh, you must be the girl he's always blabbing on about- whoa, hey! C-cold!" I heard the male voice exclaim, and I could feel my cheeks heat up.

"Shoto! No ice in the house!" a female voice shouted.

"Hi (y/n), sorry about my brother. Come on in," I heard Shoto. The gates suddenly shifted, opening up revealing their incredible garden filled with zen water features, bonsai trees and pebble paths. I followed them up to the front door, and just as I stood on the large porch the door swung open to reveal Shoto standing there in a white top with an open blue shirt over the top, wearing blue jeans. "Hello."

"Hi," I said timidly. He opened the door wider for me, handing me a pair of house slippers. "Wow, your house is incredible," I said before I could stop myself.

"Thank you," he said sweetly. "Here, let me take that," he said, taking my bag for me. Up the stairs straight in front of us I spotted two heads poking out from behind a door up there. "Oh that's just Fuyumi and Natsuo, ignore them," Shoto said, walking down the hall. I assumed I was to follow him, so I did. The house slippers were surprisingly comfy, and I couldn't help but be in awe at my surroundings. "Drink?"

"Just water please," I said, unable to take my eyes off of the incredible furniture they had.

"Are you sure? I'm making a green tea," he said with a small smile appearing on his face.

"I-if it's not too much trouble," I mumbled. He shook his head and pulled out two fancy looking cups from one of the cupboards.

"Were you planning on introducing us to your girlfriend Shoto?" Shoto's older brother asked, suddenly entering the room. I squeaked awkwardly, waving my hands in front of me.

"No, we aren't... we're not together!" I yelped.

"Natsuo, what do you want?" Shoto asked in a tired voice.

"Just wanted to know who this was, that's all," he said with a smile.

"O-oh, I'm (y/n), a classmate of Shoto's," I whispered, bowing politely.

"Is that right?" Natsuo said with a smirk.

"For god's sake Natsuo I told you to leave them alone!" Their sister came barging in, grabbing Natsuo by the collar and dragging him out of the kitchen. Shoto then handed me my tea, apparently looking quite embarrassed.

"Sorry about them, they get excited easily," he murmured but I shrugged my shoulders.

"No need to apologise, I guess that's how siblings can be," I whispered. We simply looked at each other for a moment, glancing into each others eyes before snapping away awkwardly. "E-erm, shall we study?" I suggested and he nodded, holding onto my bag and gesturing me to follow him upstairs to his room. Indeed his room was exactly the same as his one at the dorms, but it was more spacious. Quietly I settled myself down at the table, him passing me my bag as I unloaded it of books. He did the same with his school bag and we immediately delved into the world of Modern Literature. This study session felt a little different from all the others we had had however, as my feelings were fighting against my chest, apparently desperate to come out into the open. I fidgeted a bit, finding it more and more difficult to look away from his handsome face. I caught his eye numerous times but neither of us looked away like we had done before. We'd find each other staring at each other softly, and I knew I had to tell him. Just as he had finished answering all the questions correctly on the homework sheet he looked up to me with his small smile. I sighed.

"Shoto, there's... um... something I want to tell you," I said, breathing in heavily.

"Really? Is something wrong?" He asked, slight worry traceable in his voice.

"N-no, no, at least I hope not... I- I don't know how to say this... I'm just going to have to come out with it... okay," I said, taking a deep breath before looking him straight in the eye. "Shoto, I like you. As in, like you more then a friend... I like you romantically..."

I waited, my heart beating erratically, unable to believe I had actually just admitted that to him. His eyes were wide, shock seemed to be written all over his face. It was then that I knew I had blown it, that he didn't reciprocate my feelings, that I had completely ruined our relationship. Without thinking, I mumbled an apology, refusing to let the tears fall and I stood up, walking quickly towards his bedroom door, not bothering about picking up my things. I was about to reach for the door handle when it was covered in ice, and I turned quickly around and saw him standing up, approaching me quickly.

"Do you really mean that?" He whispered, standing right in front of me, him craning his neck down a little. Tentatively I nodded. He then cupped my cheek and I knew what was going to happen. My heart had never beaten this fast before as he pulled me in, my lips meeting his in a hungry kiss. We'd apparently both been desperate for each other, his kiss being passionate and mine being hungry. It felt incredible, it felt like I should've always been kissing him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, our lips parting for a mere second for breath before they were back together, opening a little to let our tongues meet in the middle. His strong grip on my waist made me feel protected, and our bodies pressed up against each others made me feel hot. He pulled away, pressing his forehead up against mine gently. "I feel the same way," he mumbled, making me smile brightly.

"Oh thank god," I whispered, exasperated. He laughed a little and we pulled each other back into another kiss, just as passionate as the first. I was pressed between his body and the door, our mouths open and his tongue dominating my mouth. His hot lips made my knees weak, so I held my arms around his neck tightly, never wanting to let go.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He mumbled into the kiss making me giggle and nod, fast.

"Yes, absolutely," I mumbled back, making him smile too. For the rest of the afternoon very little revision was done, instead there was plenty of heated make out sessions on his bed but I wasn't complaining.
