"This is our song, Ash." I whispered as we were close together, swaying back and forth. 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran is the song I breathe for.
"It is. I remember when I dragged you to the floor at prom. You didn't have anyone, and neither did I. You were so darn stubborn, and my love, you still are." He whispered, touching his lips to my head.

I sat down, looking around at all the dancing couples. No one bothered to ask me to prom. But I still wanted to go, to give myself hope.
"Hey." I turned to see a boy standing by the bench I was seated on. He had curly brown hair, brown eyes, and a playful grin.
"Would you like to dance?" I bit my lip and shook my head.
"Are you waiting for someone?" I didn't want him to think I was some loser.
"Yeah." He furrowed his eyebrows and glanced at his watch.
"Whoever he is, he's a damn prick. He doesn't deserve to have a lovely lady waiting alone. Come on." He held out his hand with confidence.
"I really can't dance." He rolled his eyes.
"I can't either. We'll act like fools." I laughed softly but declined.
"We'll dance slowly?" This guy's really trying to get me to dance with him.
"I, I can't." He took my hand and pulled me up. A soft song was starting to play, and once he looked into my eyes as he pulled me close...I was entranced.
"Dance with me." He placed his hands on my hips, and I slowly put my arms around his neck.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Y/N. You?" I blushed at the thought of him wanting to get to know me. We swayed softly to the beat.
"Ashton. Or Ash." The song was beautiful, and I wanted to aww at the singer and whoever he was singing to.
"That's a handsome name." He raised an eyebrow.
"Really? I think your name is way better than mine, Y/N." I liked the way my name rolled out of his mouth. He had the cutest Australian accent, and the cutest smile.
"I can tell you're thinking about something. Tell me." He brought us closer, so he was basically able to hug me, but just his hands lay on my waist.
"Someone's demanding." I teased and his tongue poked out of his mouth to wet his lips. I felt his fingers tap on my waist impatiently.
"Um...actually I was thinking about you." I blushed and looked down
"Tell me what you thought about me." He spoke softly, lifting my chin, making me stare at him. My heart pounded against my chest at a rapid pace.
"That you...you're kinda-really cute." He smiled and his lips neared my own, I took a big gulp of air and shut my eyes. I felt the warm peck on my cheek and peeked one eye open.
"You are too adorable."

You guys! You make me so happy! I'm trying to participate in a contest on here, and because this book is so near and dear to my heart, I will be writing a Calum short story for it. It won't take up my time with you guys, because I have so many ideas. But you guys can read 'wavering' as soon as it's finished, and Demon Hour will make its appearance December 22nd, two days after the deadline of the contest entries, and 7 days after I'm bringing a sequel to one of my books to Wattpad.
