||Eno's POV||
I walked into the library and turned to glance at the librarian, who was busy drooling while sleeping.
I walked passed her desk and headed for the depth of the library. The library was large, and it would have been almost impossible to search for Shade. But luckily or me, she gave me her location.
I approached the small group that was already discussing some related issues. The group consisted of; The head girl, the female assistant sport prefect, the assistant head girl, the assistant head boy, the assistant male sport prefect, the sport prefect and that no good head boy. I walked towards them, and sat between Shade and Lexi.
"Sorry I'm late," I said, so it won't look like I was slacking off.
"It's alright," Shade brushed off. "We were just getting started."
"Back to what I was saying," Shade continued. "The inter house sport is as important as any other event at this school. The social prefects ain't here yet, but they're supposed to be here. We are all expected to plan and make this event as successful as the past prefects."
"I want the sport prefect with their assistants, to take note of all the events and training, and make sure that there won't be anything that would hinder the inter house sport. And once you guys are done with that, hand Alex and I the schedule, so we could give it to the principal." Shade concluded.
"Since this is a sport thing, why do we need the social prefects and their assistants?" I asked. Having Dafe here was more than enough. I wasn't ready to see Saviour with his bird face.
"The social prefects has a huge role in this." Shade spoke again. At every prefect meetings, Shade had always been the spoke man. That was how she gained her respect. "We can't just host an inter house sport without proper planning, both in decoration and Dj wise. So that's where the social prefects comes in."
I nodded. Shade then clapped her hands in settlement. "So that's that for today's meeting. If or when anything comes up, I'll let y'all know. We hope to see the social prefects next meeting."
Everyone began to get up from their seats. I did too, same time with Shade. I watched patiently, as she gathered her stuff from the desk.
"Eno," I heard Alex call beside me. "Can I have a talk with you? It would just take a moment."
"No," I said without hesitation. Who wanted to talk to someone as disgusting as he is?
"It's important," He said again, trying to convince me.
"Nothing important has ever come out of that mouth of yours, and it won't start today." I turned to look at Shade, "Are you done?"
"This is really really important, Eno." Alex opened that damned dirt he called mouth. "It will just take a minute of your time."
"I think you should talk to him," Shade butt in. "I'll just sit here and wait for you."
I looked at Alex, then back at Shade, then back at Alex again. "One minute."
Alex led me to a different section that was located in the library.
I looked up at him with folded arms, "What is it?"
"I-I.... I broke up with Peace," He said in a low tone.
I lifted my brows at him, "And what do you want me to do with that piece of information?"
I watched as Alex fidgeted with his fingers. He always does that when he's nervous. "I want you back."
I looked at him in bewilderment, then lifted both hands in frustration. "I'm out of here."
Alex hands stopped me when I tried taking a step. "You're heart broken Eno, everyone knows what that son of a bitch did to you. I'm the guy meant for you."
"I don't want to hear any of it, Alex." I replied point black. "There's no difference between you and Felix. Both of you are the same!"
"But En___"
"Shut up! I'm not some item you can just throw and think you can have it back!" I snapped at him, then turned and head back to Shade.
"How'd it go?" Shade asked absent-mindedly, as she got hold of her backpack.
"Don't want to talk about it," I muttered and walked out of the library with her.
"Eno!" Alex yelled, still chasing after me.
"Just ignore him," I said mostly to myself.
"Eno," I stopped on my track. This wasn't Alex's voice. I looked ahead, to see Felix looking right at me.
He looked staggered and unhappy, and I almost felt pity for him. Keyword, almost.
"Get out of our path," I spat at Felix, who seemed adamant to move.
"You've heard her, get out of her way." Alex, who was calling after me, finally caught up with us.
"Eno," Felix called again, as he completely ignored Alex. "Please forgive me. We can just end up being friends, I'm totally okay with that."
"Do you think it's that easy?!" I snorted. "You played with my feelings like a basketball, and you're here asking for forgiveness?"
I can't believe I just used Osas' words.
"I wanted to___"
"Tell me?" I completed Felix's words. "You've been saying the same old shit for weeks now! I do not care if you wanted to tell me or not. I just want you to leave me the hell alone."
"En___"
"Dude, piss off. She told you to leave her alone!" Alex said all of a sudden.
"You ain't no different," Felix pointed out the bitter truth. My heart stung at that. He had just reminded me of how many times my heart got broken cause of a guy.
"I'm better than you," Alex said as he dangerously moved towards Felix. I wouldn't know who would win in a fight, but I knew Felix wasn't really that stupid to get into a fight with Alex. Felix doesn't fight. He feels violent isn't the right solution. So I'm hoping he stands with his own beliefs.
"And how's that?" Felix mirrored Alex by moving forward.
"I never pretended to like Eno. My feelings towards her were real, unlike some stupid bet." Felix scoffed at Alex's words.
"Your feelings were real you say?" Felix and Alex kept on moving towards each other. "Everyone knew how you dumbed Eno, for some girl. And now, you're saying your feelings were real?"
"I thought I loved peace," Alex said in his own defence, which angered me even more.
"Same way you thought you loved her, right?" Felix said, as he pointed his fingers towards my direction. "You're nothing but an indecisive freak." That word earned him a punch on his cheek.
Felix held the spot Alex just punched. He slowly looked down at his hand that held his cheek, then back at Alex. Before I could even blink, Felix jumped on Alex, resulting to both guys to land on the floor. Felix began to give Alex's cheeks series of punches.
"You think you could just punch me and I won't react to it?!" Felix asked, still punching an helpless Alex. "Then you're so wrong."
Alex was broader, so it was kind of a surprise to see Felix beat him up.
"Do something Eno, before Felix kills him!" Shade screeched.
I was taken out of my trance, as I looked down at Felix and then, at the helpless Alex who was busy shielding his face from Felix's murderous blows.
I walked up to both guys and dragged Felix off of Alex. Felix eyes met mine and we both stared at each other for what felt like eternity. But in reality, it was just few seconds.
My eyes traveled to Alex, before helping him up. He had a black eye, bruised forehead and cheeks, his lips had a little cut and his nose looked broken. Felix really didn't show any Mercy towards him.
I sighed as my eyes scanned Alex, before stopping at his hands.
"Come with me," I breathed, as I got hold of his hands. "It's alright."
With my fingers wrapped with Alex's own, I slowly led him out of the hallway, leaving a dazed Shade and a shocked Felix behind.
A/N - Hey guys, I'm so sorry I didn't update yesterday..... I was so busy with stuff.
With preparing for school and all, I'm not sure I'm gonna keep up with the schedule, but I'm gonna try.
So I hope y'all would understand me, when I don't post a chapter on its scheduled date 🙏
