Rhian's POV:
Glaiza was the one driving my car, nasa SLEX na kami. Nagsasound trip dahil medyo traffic pa-south. Glaiza was singing along the songs I played at kung hindi nya alam ang song, she hums to it. Smiling sheepishly from time to time as she drove along SLEX. Ang cute talaga ng girlfriend ko, pero hindi nakakatuwa ang traffic sa Pilipinas lalo na kung Monday! 😡 In fact this was my sole reason why Batangas ako umuuwi, bukod kasi sa mas presko ang hangin sa Batangas, the view is awesome at walang ridiculous traffic. Kung tutuusin, I can opt to stay in Alabang dahil mayroon akong Condo sa Galaxy Tower ng Ayala. But because Manila is congested at laging may isyu ang mga kalyeng dadaanan mo dahil pinagawa ng mayor o kung sino pang politiko. I decided to stay in Batangas. Lalo pa't gobernador ang ama ni David sa Maynila, their family owns a Chinese Restaurant which David's mother runs. I was pulled out of my reverie when Glaiza spoke to me and said.
"Lab, maglunch tayo sa restaurant ni Bianca mamaya ha?" She said smiling at me.
"Sure." I said smiling at her.
"Thank you lab." She said to me.
"I'll come by and pick you up." I said to her.
"Salamat lab." She said smiling at me as she continued to drive.
After a while, we reached Bianca's Restaurant. I dropped her off and kissed her on the cheek before heading to my house. Pag-dating ko sa bahay, I was greeted by my staff who were already preparing for the day to start. Each one smiled at me as I made my way to my room. Naka-denim shorts lang ako at tank top, so I needed to change into jeans and La Belle Sognare's Yellow Polo shirt. Pastel Blue, Royal Blue, Pastel Yellow at Bright Yellow ang mga polo shirts namin sa shop, we interchange these uniforms on a weekly basis. Today we will be in Bright Yellow.
I switched my phone to silent mode, before going back down to the cafe. Dressed in jeans, yellow polo shirt na may tahing La Belle Sognare sa Left Chest, Air force One White classic sneakers and my black half apron on the waist before going down to the kitchen area. Itinali ko din ang buhok ko in a ponytail. The shop was doing great, in a matter of a few months, naka-bawi na ako sa initial capital ko na 1 million. Everyone greeted me once I got back in the kitchen.
"Good morning ma'am Rhi." All of my staff said.
"Good morning din guys! Superpumped to serve customers today?" I said to them.
"Yes, Ma'am Rhi!" They all said.
"Great! Good job guys! You all survived last week." I said to them.
"Syempre boss, kami pa ba?" Samantha said smiling.
"Yan gusto ko sayo Sam eh, bibo girl ka talaga." I said to her.
"Pero wala namang jowa." Natatawang sabi ni Jake.
"Eh hindi naman kasi minamadali ang pag-jojowa noh! Diba ma'am?" Sam said.
"Tama siya, girls wag kayong maniniwala sa isang tao, dahil hindi lahat ng tao eh mapagkakatiwalaan ninyo. Kayo naman boys, wag kayong mananakit." I said laughing along with them.
"Grabe ma'am. Grabe ka saming boys." Allan said.
"Matitino po kami. Diba pre?" Jake said to the rest of the boys.
"Oo nga ma'am." Jay said.
"Sus, sige na, magtrabaho na tayo." I said to them.
"Aye! Aye! Ma'am!" All of them said at nag-mock salute pa sa akin.
They all moved and continued to spread out the tables. Parang kaibigan ko na ang mga staff ko, Bianca said that if you love what you are doing, parang hindi ito trabaho para sayo, my staff are a bunch of tight and closed knit people, it was as if they have known each other all their lives. May iba sa kanila mula sa karatig bayan ang iba tiga dito lang pero sa kabilang baranggay. I love them so much and very thankful ako dahil tinatrato nila ang mga trabaho nila na parang buhay nila. Sometimes though they are merciless at teasing each other.
The cafe has opened once we finished setting up, because of word of mouth, my cafe was one of Batangas' most talked about Instagrammable cafe's in our place. Tourists and other people come in here. Kaya talagang lagi kaming busy. Although the weekdays are steady, the weekends are fully packed. My staff are dependable, kaya naiiwan ko na sila pag weekend as much as I could, I try to work with them, helping them clear tables, wash dishes and serve our customers. Much like how Bianca does business. She does things all around in her restaurant the whole day. Kaya madalas itong pagod.
By lunch, nagpaalam na muna ako sa staff ko para mag-lunch with Glaiza. I drove myself to Bianca's restaurant, while I was trying to call Glaiza. Nakapagtatakang hindi nito sinasagot ang kanyang phone, normally kasi isang ring lang at sinasagot na nya ang tawag. I placed my phone back to my passenger seat at nag-focus na sa pag-dadrive. Kahit na malapit lang naman ang restaurant ni Bianca, iba pa din ang maingat. Nasa London currently si Bianca, fixing something on behalf of her father.
Si Margaux lang ang nasa shop ni Bianca, they must be discussing the plans for their landscaping, they have recently bought a house together Bianca and Margaux, ito ang ipapalandscape nila, I am happy for Bianca and how she found true love in my archnemesis back in Highschool, ganun pa man, hindi pa din kami ganun ka-close ni Margaux and there are times she still gets jealous over me and Bianca kahit na parang kapatid ko si Bianca. We were that type of friends where we are inseparable and seemingly joined to the hips.
Bianca never left me kahit ayaw nya kay Jeremy David o sa ibang exes ko. She never liked my exes, bibhira ang approved kay Bianca, Glaiza being one of them. Maya maya lamang, nakarating na ako sa restaurant ni Bianca, I parked my car and grabbed my phone, I put my phone in my back pocket and alighted my car.
I took strides going to the restaurant, kilala ako ng mga staff ni Bianca, they greeted me as I opened the door.
"Good afternoon po, ma'am Rhi." Alex one of Bianca's staff greeted me.
"Good afternoon din Alex, where is your ma'am Margaux?" I said to him smiling.
"Nasa office po sa likod, tuloy na lang ho kayo ma'am." Alex said smiling.
"Ah sige, thank you." I smiled back at her as I made my way to the kitchen.
Bianca and I are used to just barging in sa aming mga rooms, kaya dire-direcho lang ako at binuksan ang pinto, I was smiling but was stunned at the view na bumulaga sa akin. Margaux on top of Glaiza seemingly giving her a kiss. Napalingon si Glaiza sa gawi ng pinto, ganun din si Margaux. Tuluyan nang naka-tayo si Glaiza as she approached me.
"Lab, wala iyon." She said to me at once as she made her way to me.
Nangingilid na ang mga luha ko, kaya tumalikod na ako at aalis na sana. When I felt her hold on to my arm, agad kong binawi ang braso ko sa pagkakahawak ni Glaiza.
"Lab let me explain." She pleaded.
"Don't explain, I know what I saw." I said to her before I slapped her face at tuluyang nag-walk out.
Humahabol pa din si Glaiza sa likod ko, nadidinig ko ang yabag ng mga paa nyang naka-sunod sa akin. Maya maya pa, someone tackled me from the side. Sweeping me off my path, in a few seconds someone was holding me with one arm around my neck as the person dragged me away.
"Hoy, bitawan mo ang girlfriend ko!" Glaiza said to the stranger.
The stranger stopped dead on his tracks, he faced Glaiza with me in tow. He laughs a crazy and almost sounding like a maniac, the kind that Jeremy makes when he's really amused with something. He speaks finally.
"Girlfriend? Ako ang asawa ng Girlfriend mo." He said.
Confirmed, dread and panic has filled me as I heard Jeremy say this words to Glaiza.
He raises his arm out to Glaiza and said.
"Wag kang kikilos, kung hindi papasabugin ko bungo ni Rhian."
Sabay tutok ng baril sa sentido ko, habang naglalakad ng paatras. He lifts me to his get away van and sped right off.
