'A dark lab in the advancement sector of homeworld, certainly not the kind of place this particular Peridot expected to be standing right now, let alone having a Diamond ask her to save a Metamorin'
'The taller Peridot can be seen standing while working on a few of her screens as some Peridot's wearing limb enhancers work on some sort of console beside her'
???: "Initate the gem repair sequence" 'The taller Peridot says causing the two smaller ones to nod their heads as they simultaneously press a button on each of their consoles'
'The taller Peridot crosses her fingers as the room just through the glass window erupts into a burst of red, Blue and yellow energy'
'As the light dies down the taller Peridot quickly jogs into the side room as a pair of mechanical arms retract into the ceiling, the moment she gets a look at the table she had laid the Metamorin on her eyes sparkle with excitement'
'Moments pass before his eyes begin flashing underneath the tarp like material that had been placed over him'
'For Chip however things arent so exciting, all he knows at the moment is, he is in much more pain than he would prefer and that he shouldnt be alive at the moment'
'He sits up after removing the tarp, one hand placed on his head as he does his best to shake off his pounding headache'
???: "Haha! Yes! I'm not getting shattered today!!" 'He hears a giddy feminine voice exclaim causing his eyes to shoot open as his hud activates'
'When he opens his eyes he is met face to face with the overly excited Peridot that had just saved his life without him knowing it'
'Chip quickly backs up readying his righ5 arm as his palm opens up slightly beginning to glow a dim yellow'
???: "Wait, wait, wait! Calm down!" 'She says grabbing a hold of his arm gently lowering it'
'Chip calms slightly as everything begins to come back to him, he remembers coming to homeworld with Blue then getting shot by Yellow Diamond, suffice to say he is very confused'
Chip: "How am I?"
???: "Alive? That would be thanks to me and my LOVELY assistants over there" 'The Peridot says stretching her left index finger to tap the glass window slightly startling the two Peridot's behind it'
Chip: "That dosent awnser the question, my reactor was...destroyed how am I here?!" 'Chip says as a look of realization comes across the Peridot's face'
???: "Ooooh right, I went rooting around in your files, you have no memory leading to even a full orbital cycle, you were reset....oh this is going to get complicated, alright listen carefully cause I dont know how to explain this properly" 'The Peridot says chuckling nervously as she stands up'
Chip: "A-Allright?"
???: "Your reactor was indeed destroyed by Yellow Diamond, however Blue Diamond sent her Pearl to me carrying you, I was tasked with fixing you which would normally require finding a way to stabalize you.....however" 'She says trailing off slightly as her eyes drift to Chip a look of pure excitement visible in her eyes'
Chip: "However what?"
???: "Hold on a moment, let me just get a reflector screen" 'She says backing up while stretching her fingers to tap on several screens that pop up infront of her'
'After a moment they converge into one large screen infront or Chip as she walks around it helping him up'
???: "Take a look for yourself! Just a warning do not actually....TOUCH the screen it will likley shock you" 'She says as She leads Chip around the screen to the reflective side'
'Chip's eyes widen the moment he looks at the reflective surface, he had Changed. He was still the same height and looked mostly the same however there are a few small differences'
'For one his face has Black metallic lines that dot his face giving it a more sci-fi look to it, his hair also had become a little more refined in a way, there were glowing blue portions of it now '
'His shoulders seemed to have some sort of black metal shoulder pads now in the shape of a square'
'However the things that stick out most, are his eyes.....and the center of his chest. His eyes have changed into the shape of a neon blue glowing Dimond. In the center of his chest lays a black Diamond, the center of it glowing a bright blue giving it a blue tint'
Chip: "What.." 'Chip says in shock as he backs up slightly reaching upto his head with his hands only to quickly retract them and look at them noticing their more metal appearance'
???: "It would seem the activation of your Diamond caused your technological aspects to update" 'The Peridot says walking around Chip examining him'
Chip: "How....WHERE did I get a GEM?" 'Chip asks in confusion causing the Peridot to stop and look at him'
???: "There was a device in the center of your chest cavity, it had a Diamond shaped engraving on it, that was a storage unit for a gem, more specifically a Diamond, however the only reason you didnt know about it was because it was damaged, it was cracked" 'The Peridot says examining Chip's gemstone curiously'
???: "We had to take you here, it was a long shot for repairing a Diamond but it seems to have worked, just....be careful it may take a while for it to fully settle" 'She says standing up fully being a head taller than Chip'
Chip: "So I've had this the entire time? That would explain some things....." 'Chip says chuckling nervously'
???: "Indeed, now how are you feeling? From what I remember Metamorin bodies act more like organic bodies than anything"
Chip: "Besides dying and coming back to life? Pretty sure im having a panic attack!" 'Chip says placing his hands on the sides of his head'
???: "That is a expected side effect unfortunately, if you had not lost your memory of your gem this would be a much smoother process, I have already informed Blue Diamond of your memories and condition" 'She says looking Chip over one last time'
Chip: "Wait...who are you?" 'Chip asks curiously causing the Peridot to look up at him'
???: "Oh I do not have a name, I am a Era One Peridot, the last of my cut" 'She explains with a smile bouncing slightly'
Chip: "Well you're not like the Peridot I know, both physically and mentally" 'Chip says slightly dazed'
???: "That is because of how long I have been around, I have lost my ability to care about all the formality and everything" 'She says desmissivley after tapping one of her screens'
Chip: "Well calling you Peridot dosent sit well with me so......does Stretch work?" 'Chip asks looking at her still outstretched fingers'
'The Peridot stops slightly confused before looking at her fingers, a look of realization crosses her face before she chuckles lightly heading towards the exit door'
Stretch: "It certainly seems fitting, now we must go, She is waiting"
Chip: "Blue I'm assuming?" 'Chip asks sighing slightly'
Stretch: "Indeed, if you have any questions you should likley ask them now" 'Stretch says as Chip catches upto her'
Chip: "I would normally ask a few, but I'm currently trying to process everything...." 'Chip says his voice hitching for a moment'
Stretch: "I can understand the distress you may be feeling, I may actually be the only gem that can understand besides Blue Diamond, however there are things i have been told she wishes to tell you later on" 'Stretch says with a sigh as she continues leading Chip down the massive corridor'
'As the two walk gems stop and watch the two of them, the confusion having clearly caught the gem populace's attention'
'Gem's can be heard whispering among themselves about the sudden appearance of the Diamond/Metamorin Hybrid'
Chip: "You'd think a super advanced species would be able to whisper quieter...."
Stretch: "Dont mind them, they dont know anything about you, the majority of these gems are Era Two Gems or late Era One Gems at the most" 'Stretch says sighing to herself in annoyance'
Chip: "So what should I expect?" 'Chip asks hesitantly as a massive blue door comes into view'
Stretch: "I do not know, I would expect Blue Diamond to be rather emotional due to your relation with her before your personality reset happened" 'Stretch says stopping at the door'
Chip: "What do you mean?" 'Chip asks slightly confused as Stretch turns to him'
Stretch: "Well when your gem was created we didnt have the available resources to create one the same way the others had been. So Blue Diamond offered to have a shard of her gem chipped off and used in an injector, her gem was later healed by Pink Diamond" 'Stretch explain as Chip reaches upto his gem, his now metallic claw like hands touching it in confusion'
Chip: Then why was it put inside of a Metamorin body?" 'Chip asks as stretch activates one of her screens'
Stretch: "It says here that the Gem once it was formed, did not have enough power to produce a physical form so they in turn gave it the old Chassis of a Metamorin after some retrofitting. Kind of ironic given how Powerful the gem is when powered" 'She says activating yet another screen'
Chip: "So what relationship exactly did we....have?" 'Chip asks hesitantly'
'Stretch stops for a moment in thought before pressing a final button on her screen before deactivating it'
Stretch: "I believe you will see momentarily" 'She says as the massive blue door opens up'
Chip: "O-Okay" 'Chip says nervously as he steps forward'
Stretch: "I'll see you again some time in the future My Diamond" 'Stretch says with a overly dramatic voice as she walks away'
Chip: "Oh boy here we go" 'Chip says walking into the blue room, Blue Diamond can be seen sitting in her now repaired throne tapping on a few holographic screens floating infront of her'
'Blue's face lights up slightly as she notices Chip walking into the room, she quickly stands up'
Chip: "H-Hey Blue" 'Chip says nervously rubbing the back of his neck'
Blue: "Oh my stars.....look at you" 'Blue says softly as she crouches down onto her knee's a soft smile on her face'
'Before Chip can respond Blue gently scoops him up into her hands startling him slightly before he turns back to the Gem Gaint'
Blue: "I....Dont know what to say right now, I never thought I'd get to see.....you again, well.....I guess you arent really the same as you used to be..." 'Blue says slightly confusing herself'
Chip: "I have......no clue what is going on anymore" 'Chip says nervously, his diamond shaped eyes turning turquoise'
Blue: "Well......how do I explain this?" 'Blue says in thought'
Blue: "You are. No you WERE a gem known as...Blood Diamond" 'Blue says causing Chip to tense up slightly'
Chip: "I am NOT Blood Diamond" 'Chip says in a quiet growl'
Blue: "You are correct, you are not Blood Diamond anymore. Although, you still have his Diamond" 'Blue says softly noticing the anger in his eyes'
Chip: "So then.....what am I to you? I was told you had part of your gem used to make mine?" 'Chip asks hesitantly'
'Blue sighs lightly before opening her eyes once more'
Blue: "Well I suppose in Metamorin Terminology....I would be called your "Biological" mother....as Biological as Gems can get anyway" 'Blue says smiling softly, a look of regret in her eyes'
Chip: "Okay wow you are throwing a LOT at me here!" 'Chip says wide eye'd, feeling rather conflicted'
'Blue's face softens as tears begin forming in her eyes, causing Chip to brace himself for whatever is to come'
Blue: " I never really treated Blood like a mother should have......I was....so hard on him and....." 'Blue says sobbing lightly her voice filled with regret'
Chip: "What....do you mean?" 'Chip asks growing increasingly more wary'
'Blue takes a moment to compose herself the best she can, after taking a deep breath she looks back at Chip with watery eyes'
Blue: "I....treated him rather...poorly, all the Diamonds did..well except for Pink, we didnt realise that he could feel things like a Metamorin could. So a lot of the time we....hurt him without even knowing it....and by the time we figured that out...he was too far gone" 'Blue says her voice filled with regret. Chip's eyes widen realizing what she meant'
'While he felt disgusted with the implications of what she was saying he also could see the regret in her eyes'
Chip: "W-Well from what I can tell I'm kinda....stuck on homeworld now....maybe things could be...different this time" 'Chip says hesitantly causing Blue to look at him in confusion'
Blue: "You would....give me that chance?" 'Blue asks in suprise, a stream of tears still flowing from her eyes'
Chip: "Well I was raised being taught that everyone deserves a second chance my Cousin would rant my ear off if I didnt agree with that.....even if it means giving the Diamond's a second chance" 'Chip says causing Blue to smile softly'
'Before Chip can react Blue squishes him against her left Cheek in an attempt to hug him while she does her best to calm down'
Blue: "I Promise I will do my best to make your stay on Homeworld as Pleasent as possible....." 'Blue says as Chip coughs tapping Blue lightly'
Chip: "Servo's....being crushed....room...going dark" 'Chip says with a wheeze causing Blue to pull away quickly'
Blue: "Oh I am sorry!" 'Blue says quickly as she let's Chip stand on her hands once more'
Chip: "Its fine...I've been through worse.." 'Chip says nervously as he looks himself over'
'Chip stops for a moment before looking through his systems, a look of confusion coming across his face'
Blue: "Is something the matter?"
Chip: "My systems....they're gone! All my weapons systems even my thrusters! It's like they've just vanished, well save for my hand blasters" 'Chip explains looking at his hands'
Blue: "What? Oh when I get my hands on that Peridot..." 'Blue says a blue aura slowly covering her'
Chip: "Wait....I found somthing" 'Chip says looking at his hud'
Chip: "Activate manual system configuration?" 'Chip reads outloud before pressing the activate button on his hud'
Chip: "Okay so what do I do no- WOAH!" 'Chip says cutting himself off as his left arm is covered by some sort of liquid metal'
Blue: "Are you allright?" 'Blue asks with worry in her voice'
'Chip dosent respond as he looks at the liquid metal, he looks to his other arm causing the metal to move across his body to his other arm'
Chip: "I....think so?" 'Chip says in confusion'
'Chip stops in thought for a moment before he closes his eyes focusing on his hud, moments later his entire right arm is covered in the liquid metal'
'His right arm suddenly turns into a large jet like thruster boosting him into the air causing Blue to jump slightly'
Chip: "Well that's not supposed to be there!" 'Chip says as he uncontrollably flies through the air'
'Chip smirks as he makes his arm return to normal, he quickly starts falling causing Blue to hold out her hands for him to land on'
'Mere feet away from Blue's hands two large wing like thrusters appear on Chip's back as his feet open up producing thrusters aswell allowing him to hover above Blue's hands'
Blue: "Oh my!" 'Blue says in surprise as Chip looks himself over'
'Chip attempts to turn around trying to look at the thrusters causing him to simply spin in a circle'
Chip: "Talk about a upgrade! Never thought I'd get Nanotech" 'Chip says clearly excited as he lands on Blue's hands'
Blue: "Nano...Tech? Blue asks slightly confused as she is unfamiliar with the concept'
Chip: "Yeah! Its like programmed metal, I can controll it to make whatever I want it too! Aslong as there is enough material left.." 'Chip says with a bright smile, his Diamond eyes turning bright green'
'Blue smiles softly before the large door opens, she places Chip on the large blue throne behind her next to Her Pearl'
Yellow Diamond: "Where is he Blue?!" 'Yellow Diamond asks her voice mixed with anger and confusion'
Blue: "Why would I tell you?" 'Blue asks coldly as she stands infront of Chip protectively'
'Yellow Diamond growls lowly before placing one of her hands on her forehead while she takes a deep breath'
Yellow Diamond: "I-I......came to apologize...." 'Yellow Diamond says with a heavy sigh, her voice clearly un amused with the situation'
'Blue is currently standing infront of Yellow Diamond with a look of shock. Yellow Diamond....apologizing?'
Blue: "E-Excuse me?"
Yellow Diamond: "I....I'm sorry Blue.....I should not have acted out the way I did......especially now that I know it was...Blood that I acted out against" 'Yellow Diamond says with a sigh causing Blue's posture to soften from its defensive stance'
Blue: "There are a few things I must say to you...before I let you see him" 'Blue says grabbing Yellow's attention'
Blue: "Blood Diamond....is gone, Blood Diamond's personality was erased. The only other thing I must say to you is the most important part" 'Blue says her voice growing Slightly dark'
Yellow Diamond: "A-Allright"
Blue: "If you EVER harm him again like you did....I will deal with you PERSONALLY" 'Blue says in a warning voice causing Yellow to nod her head slightly surprised at the out of character aggression'
'Blue Sighs before walking to the side Letting Chip Fly into the air forming thrusters along the backs of his legs and on his back'
Chip: "H-Hey yellow, hows..things" 'Chip says nervously As Yellow looks over to Blue'
Yellow Diamond: "May I.....hold him?" 'Yellow asks looking back at Chip slightly confused at his size'
'Blue sighs but nods her head causing her Yellow counter part to hold out her hands'
'Chip hesitantly lands on Yellow Diamond's hands deactivating his thrusters carefully as he is still unsure of how to fully operate his new upgrades'
Yellow Diamond: "You really have changed havent you? Your so....small" 'Yellow Diamond says in surprise'
Chip: "I'm not done growing yet but I dont think I'll be catching upto you and Blue any time soon" 'Chip says nervously'
'Yellow Looks down at Chip's Diamond noticing the neon blue center it has, a slightly relieved sigh comes from her before a tired smile crosses her face'
Yellow Diamond: "Maybe this time you can become a proper Diamond, and not be so......crazed" 'Yellow Diamons says causing Blue to clear her throat getting Yellow Diamond's attention'
Yellow Diamond: "And I suppose i should apologize for.....killing you" 'Yellow Diamond says with a slightly annoyed tone clearly not enjoying having to apologize'
Chip: "D-Dont worry about it! Things have tried to kill me before, you're just the first to succeed!" 'Chip says trying to lighten the mood with humor'
Yellow Diamond: "The name you go by is...Chip correct? That's what a Peridot told me during her debriefing anyway..." 'Yellow Diamond says as Chip smiles nervously'
Chip: "You would be correct"
Yellow Diamond: "I assume you already know my name...."
Chip: "Yep, but im going to call you Yellow due to the fact I am lazy and you shot me in the chest" 'Chip says crossing his arms causing Blue to chuckle to herself lightly'
Yellow: "If you insist...." 'Yellow says with a sigh as she rolls her eyes'
Blue: "Now, we should probably show you around" 'Blue says with a chuckle causing Yellow to turn to her'
Yellow: "I suppose if you are going to be a Diamond you need to know how to navigate homeworld..." 'Yellow says letting Chip step onto Blue's hands'
