Their Way Home
While already riding through the plains
Charlotte turns to Chechi
"Where is the place
We are heading to?
Is it maybe, the home of you?"
Chechi smirks then nods quite polite.
"Yes, my friend, it is indeed.
It's Busted Gulch, quite more than a town."
"The people there though will make you frown."
She adds with a grin.
Charlotte nods with a smirk
And lets her curiosity win.
Without further question
She follows the Indian
Through the plains and the night
Gone all her suspicion and fright
Somehow it is Chechi's flair
That has this strong effect on her

In the morning dawn
The two of them set their camp down
And in the pretty firelight
Chechi calls the thoughts of the night
A smile hushes over the Indian's face
When she shows Charlotte the place
Where she now feels she belongs
Though it's only the picture from her memories
The night gets colder
And darker too
And close to the small campfire you
Could see the two women
Snuggled together
Watching their future home
In the flames
