the funeral was filled with people from all of the fallen children's families. noah was the only teenager left from their friend group. he felt lonely.
he sat at a table at the after party and played with his food with his cheap plastic fork. he smiled knowing that caleb wanted famous basketball players to come to his funeral and how millie wanted to meet paris hilton before she died.
but it was too late.
natalia walked over to noah and sat down on the fold up chairs, facing him.
"you okay?" she asked, rubbing his back lightly, trying not to trigger his emotions.
he shook his head and immediately starting sobbing. the adult pulled him into a whole hearted hug and started lighting crying. she missed her stepsister. she didn't deserve to die, none of them did.
