"So, don't get me wrong" Max started "I love kissing you, but I'm not looking for a relationship right now" he said.
"Good, because I'm not either" I smiled. "But that doesn't mean we have to stop this" I said leaning in closer and connecting our lips again.
"It does normally mean that we have to stop" Max said pulling away slightly before reconnecting our lips. "But I don't want to" he mumbled against my lips. I smiled into the kiss and pulled him closer.
"Then we don't have to" I said biting his lip and pulling back. "We're only here for like two weeks so lets do something out of the ordinary" I said.
"Like acting like a couple when we're not?" he laughed and I nodded.
"It could be fun, we'll see what it would be like to date each other" I said and Max nodded.
"Stop being adorable guys" Katie said breaking us out of our own little conversation. I laughed and turned slightly so I could see everyone.
"What should we do?" I asked as Max grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"You know what we should do?" Katie asked excitedly. "Let's play hide and seek. Yeah I know it's a kids game, but it could be fun since we're at the lake and it's dark" she shrugged and most people agreed. We all decided that since its dark and there's a lot of land around here, that we should work in partners, I of course am with Max. Travis and some girl he's partners with are counting first, while everyone else is running around trying to find a hiding spot.
Max and I ran into the woods and found a small creek with large rocks scattered around it. We found the biggest one and decided to hide there, since it was either there or behind a tree. There wasn't many places to hide, so we sat on the ground.
"I can't believe we're playing hide and seek" Max chuckled as I rested my head on his shoulder. "I haven't played this since I was like ten"
"Me neither, but I don't care" he smiled and I pulled my phone out that was ringing once again from Dylan. He has called me about five times in ten minutes. I sighed and quietly answered.
"Dylan now isn't the time, we're playing hide and seek" I whispered.
"I don't care. Tyler found out where you are and he's on his way" Dylan spoke quickly.
"What? When did he leave? Why is he coming here?" I asked sitting up straight not bothering to keep my voice down.
"He left this morning so he should be there soon. He told me he was going to get you back" Dylan sighed.
"Well I'm not at grandmas, I'm at a party" I explained.
'Well he will probably be there when you get back, I just wanted to warn you" Dylan said and I sighed.
"Thanks" I said quickly hanging up when I heard Travis talking. I put my phone in my pocket and looked at Max who was looking at me concerned.
"Found you" Travis said leaning in front of the rock.
"I hate this game" I said getting up and crossing my arms over my chest.
"You're just saying that because you lost" Travis taunted and I stuck my tongue out at him. Max and I walked back towards the fire while Travis and whatever the girls name is, looked for everyone else.
"What did Dylan want?" Max asked and I sighed.
"Tyler found out where I was and he's here to get me back" I said biting my lip.
"Well are you going to take him back?" Max asked.
"Not that easily" I said furrowing my eyebrows.
"Okay, so say he does something really romantic, and you're like holy shit he's so sweet I can't believe he did all this for me. Then what? Will you not give in so easily?" Max questioned.
"No, I don't want him to see me as one of those girls that he can break up with and then do something really romantic and I'll automatically take him back. I don't want to be one those 'easy' girls" I said putting air quotes around the word easy.
"That makes sense" Max nodded. We walked out of the woods and back towards the fire. I grabbed another beer and joined Max by the fire. "Uhm..." Max said and I looked up at him confused, I saw him nod past the fire and I looked up.
I saw Tyler stepping out of his car and I sighed. I do have to admit he looks pretty hot in his tight blue jeans, and black leather jacket. 'Stop it Macy, you're supposed to he mad at him' my inner self reminded me. With that in mind, I rolled my eyes and went back to drinking my beer and talking to Max.
Katie came running out of the woods, obviously being found, and sat next to me. She nudged my shoulder and nodded towards Tyler.
"Who's that hottie?" she asked taking my beer and having a sip before handing it back to me. I sighed and told her, she knew the whole story between Tyler and I so she nodded. "Oh. How did he find you?" she asked.
"I feel like Dylan told him I was at my grandmas, so he flew out, probably went to my grandparents and they told him I was here. So now here he is" I said taking the last sip of beer. I stood up and walked over to the trash and threw my bottle in.
"Macy" I heard a familiar deep voice behind me. I turned around and saw sadness in his eyes, and I knew he was going to apologize. I stood there and crossed my arms over my chest and waited for him to continue. "I'm so sorry, I just I was stressed and I didn't even mean what I said and-"
"Then why did you say it?" I asked shrugging my shoulders.
"I honestly don't know. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I can't stand you not being with me, and I know you came out here to get away from me but I needed to see you, to talk to you. I miss you so much Macy you don't understand" he said stepping closer to me. I bit my lip and looked up at him.
"Did you think you could fly here from LA, and think this apology would be so romantic that I would immediately forgive you and everything would be fine?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him.
"No I didn't expect that at all. I just couldn't take it anymore and you wouldn't answer me, so I came out here. I don't expect you to forgive me and everything would be fine. I just want to start over" he said and I sighed.
"I'm totally overreacting about this whole thing, but I don't care, I forgive you but I'm not agreeing to anything, we're just friends" I said and Tyler nodded with a small smile.
"I'll take just friends right now" he smiled as I smiled up at him.
"I want you to come meet my friends" I smiled. We walked back over to the bench everyone was at, now that the game is over. I introduced Tyler to everyone, and right away Tyler and Travis became almost like best friends. After another hour or so, we decided to head home for the night, seeing as it was almost two in the morning.
"Max you should drive" I said tossing him the keys. He easily caught them and got in the drivers seat. "Tyler are you staying at a hotel?" I asked before getting in the car.
"I was going to, but when I got to your grandma's she asked where I was staying, so I told her and she told me I can take the extra room" he smiled.
"Of course she did" I said under my breath. I smiled and got in the car, and Max started the short drive back home.

"Macy" I heard Tyler say. I groaned and pulled the blanket over my head. I heard him sigh, and then felt the bed dip down next to me.
"Go away Tyler" I groaned and he chuckled.
"You have to get up, it's almost noon, and I've been trying to get you up for like a half hour" he said and I sighed. I moved the blanket from my face and looked up at Tyler who was smiling down at me. As I looked over his features I realized just how much I've missed him. I miss the way his lips feel on mine, and the way his strong arms wrap around my waist in a hug, or the way I feel protected whenever we are just laying on the couch, cuddling. "What are you thinking about?" Tyler broke the silence.
I debated on whether telling him the truth or not, but before I could think I blurted out "You" I watched his eyes light up, and his smile grow wider.
"Why me? I thought we were just friends?" he laughed and I shrugged sitting up. I got up and walked to the bathroom the brush my teeth.
"I can think about friends" I smiled, coming back out of the bathroom and sitting on the bed, facing Tyler. "But you're making it very hard to be just friends" I laughed and he raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not doing anything" he laughed.
"Exactly! You're being yourself, which is why I fell for you in the first place" I admitted looking down at my lap. I felt his index finger under my chin, making me look up at him. He had a smirk on his face as he leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. I didn't pull away, but I kissed back, loving the feeling of his lips on mine again.
"I take it you don't want to be just friends anymore?" Tyler asked, pulling away slightly. His lips brushing mine as he spoke every word.
"I do but I don't" I said closing my eyes and resting my forehead on his as he chuckled. "I don't want to be one of the girls where her boyfriend breaks up with her, and then she gives in too easily so he keeps doing that because he knows they will always get back together" I explained, opening my eyes and pulling away. I rested my back against the headboard and pulled my knees to my chest. Tyler moved up and rested his back against the headboard as well, with his feet stretched out and crossed at his ankles.
"I know you're not one of those girls. I'm surprised you agreed to at least be just friends last night, I thought you would be mad and I would be on a plane back home today" Tyler chucked "I wont ever do that again"
"How do you know? Not all couples last forever" I said looking up at him.
"I'm not saying I want this to happen, but if we get back together and I break up with you for another stupid reason, or any reason at all and you want me to go away I will" he explained "But if you want me not to go away, I won't. I want to be with you, and I think we could last a long time, all couples fight and I feel like this was one of the first, and that's okay"
"You're so adorable" I said leaning over and connecting my lips with his. He grabbed me by my waist and guided me over so I was straddling his lap. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip asking for entrance which I allowed. As the kiss deepened I started to rock my hips back and forth earning a moan from Tyler. I pulled away and rested my forehead on his.
"Does this mean you're my girlfriend again?" Tyler asked and I nodded. "I still don't want to move too fast, I don't want to ruin things" Tyler breathed and I sighed pulling away.
"Can we go eat? I'm hungry?" I asked and Tyler laughed.
"How about if you get dressed I'll take you out to lunch, well breakfast for you" he laughed and I nodded.
"We should go to Bob Evans, then I can get breakfast and you can get lunch" I said picking out a t-shirt, with a pair of leggings.
"Whatever you want" he said getting up and waking out of the room so I could change. I threw on the clothes, and quickly did a fishtail braid on my hair, and then grabbed a sweatshirt and put it on. I grabbed my phone and stuck it in my pocket, and slipped on some boots and headed downstairs.
"Ready?" I asked Tyler who was sitting on the couch, playing on his phone. He smiled and nodded as he stood up. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together and looked down at me.
"Is that my sweatshirt?" he asked and I looked down.
"I think so, I packed it when I came, but I never wore it. Until now that is" I smiled as I crawled into his rental car. He shut my door for me and ran around to the drivers side and started the drive.
