"I told you, I'm unteachable." You pout and throw your hands up in defense.
"Oh come on, (Y/N). Please just try." Your boyfriend begs from across the ice, shifting his weight from skate to skate and putting his hands on his hips.
"....... fine. But we're getting ice cream after." You bargain and he nods his head as a gleeful smile spreads across his face.
He skates over to you and hands you a hockey stick. The cold air stings your nose as you move your body, grabbing the stick from his hand. I have no idea what gave him the bright idea to teach me how to play hockey in the first place, he practically had to beg me to come to the practice rink.
"Okay, so you put your hands here and here." He says, positioning your hands on the hockey stick and you oblige.
"Then swing the stick back and hit the puck into the net." He explains, launching his own puck across the rink and into the back of the net.
"Easier said than done." You mumble under your breath so Kasperi doesn't hear you. Lifting your arms with the stick in your hands, you quickly swing the hockey stick forward and silently pray that you make contact with the puck.
A loud smacking noise is heard when you lift the puck off of the ice and it flies towards the goal, missing your target by only a few inches. The disappointment is plastered onto your face and Kasperi gives you a warm and encouraging smile.
He passes you another puck, wanting you to try again. You once again ready yourself to shoot the puck. Sucking in another deep breath of bitter air, you blindly aim for the net and hope for the best.
This time, the puck smoothly finds the bottom left corner of the net, but before you can celebrate your boyfriend lifts your entire body above his head and skates around the rink with you as though you were the Stanley Cup.
