*Serena's POV
Its currently Friday night after school and my friends all made plans but I decided against going even after every single one of them tried to persuade me with everything they had. But i couldn't bring myself to go out and have fun while Ash hates me....
"Serena! Come on down!" My mom shouted up
"Coming!" I shouted back, with a pinch of annoyance
I exited my room and walked down the stairs to see my mom sitting on the couch and she signaled for me to sit next to her
"Something bothering you again?" She asked as I sat down
"No.... maybe" I answered
"Serena don't be afraid to hide anything from me, i'm your mom and I won't judge you" My mom put
"Ok... Its just Ash again" I admitted
"You seem to really be caught up with Ash. You two a couple?" My mom asked
"N-No! Were not mom!" I quickly stated
"Anyways, whats going on now?" She then asked
"Well after our last talk I saw Ash on Saturday walking so I called out to him but he just ignored me and gave me a harsh look. Then on Monday I tried confront him again after our friends failed to do so. I started by walking up from behind and feeling his hair as I complimented it, and I really did like it, but thats not the point. It basically ended the same with him telling me to go away" I explained
"Ash & Pikachu have been friends forever Serena, i'm sure if you got hurt and Ash thought it was his fault, wether it wasn't or not, he'd be acting the same way. He doesn't hate you, he just doesn't want to talk about" My mom advised
"But what if he never talks to me again...." I replied
"Have you ever stopped and considered he'll probably return to normal once Pikachu's healed?" My mom asked
"I have but I feel like i've bothered him too much that it'll never be the same. Not to mention you have to see Pikachu for yourself to see how long his recovery is going to take" I answered
"If you really like Ash, then you'll wait" My mom said
"I-I don't like him in that way!" I responded loudly
"Ok Serena. Now how about you go out with your friends?" My mom asked
"Ill try" I sighed
I then thanked my mom and then walked back up stairs to grab my phone so I could text my friends. They hadn't left yet so I decided on going and they were all happy to hear that
*With Ash / His POV
I decided on visiting Pikachu for the second time since he's been in the Pokemon Center. I just couldn't bring myself to see his injuries that I had caused.
I quietly made my through the house and I slowly opened the door but when I stepped outside I could see Serena also making her way out which me internally sigh
Our eyes met and she hesitated at first but she gave a slow and small wave so this time i rewarded her with the same exact wave back and I could see her face lighten up with all kinds of happy emotions, and I hated to do it but I had to, and i gave her the cold harsh look and her face returned to the same neutral/sad look from before
"Where do you think your going?" Gary asked from behind
"None of your business" I put
"You cant even tell us where your going? Now your just being pathetic Ash" Fiera replied harshly
"Sh-Shut up. Im not in the mood for your sarcasm" I replied even more harshly and it worked
I then continued to walk and it was going well. It was pretty peaceful until about halfway there I heard sounds from my left in the forest and the two Houndoom from before jumped out
I was unable to move in fear but the Houndoom turned into mist and the mist merged together until before I was face to face with Neptune
"Huh?" I asked
"You blame yourself for Pikachu's injuries" He said
"It was my fault!" I replied
"I admire your bond with your Pokemon Ash, but you must understand it was no ones fault" Neptune put
"I-It was because of my forgetfulness that Pikachu got hurt" I retaliated
"Mistakes happen, thats the way life works. You've isolated all your friends....." Neptune said
"I isolated them because they won't understand how I feel and I wanted to be alone" I explained
"Poor Serena" He replied
"What do you mean?" I asked worryingly
"You can't tell? She's really hurt you wouldn't talk to her, she cant stop thinking about your sudden actions" Neptune then explain
"Oh man...i'n out of my mind" I sighed as I sat down
I was only thinking about myself but not about how my friends and how Serena felt when I isolated them
"I have to find her" I said out loud
"You'll find her" Neptune replied
I then blinked and I was suddenly in Lumiose City but I decided not to question it
"I guess I just have to assume she's around here" I guessed
I began to look around until I had remembered Gary was talking about where they would be so I eventually found myself at Prism Tower and I could see Serena, Gary and Fiera still walking not with the group
"Serena" I called out and it began to rain but she turned around and saw me and neither of us cared about the water coming down on to us
"Ash?" She asked nervously
I then walked up to her and said "I-Im sorry Serena" but she gave me an angry look
"Y-You don't understand how you made me feel" Serena said angrily and she shoved me hard enough to make me fall over
"I know I don't, Im really sorry Serena" I apologized still
She then began to cry, and even with the rain it was noticeable
"You haven't even said what your sorry for" She said
"I-I..." I tried saying
"Exactly. Leave me alone Ash" Serena replied, the same exact way I had told her
Gary put his hand on her shoulder and the three began to walk away but I just sat in defeat at what had gone down. I had apologized badly....
*Skip 2 minutes / Serena's POV
"Im sick of this rain!" I complained loudly and it stopped raining which confused me
"Would you look at that, Serena can control the weather" Gary said, trying to lighten the mood
"Shut up Gary" Me & Fiera said in sync
"Alright, lets just find our friends" Gary replied with annoyance. I think he was genuinely hurt by our comment
It took us another 2 minutes but we found the rest of our friends at the spot we were support to meet
"There you guys are! Woah...." Shauna said
"Are you alright Serena?" Dawn asked
"Im fine" She answered but Gary shook his head
"Tell us what happened Serena" Tierno said
"Yeah we won't be like Ash" Miette added bluntly and I gave her an angry look
Gary then explained what had happened and it sounded like he was on my side
"Oh, I see" Kiawe said
"Well he's sorry isn't he" Trevor replied
"We can accept his apology, its Serena that he needs to really make it up to" Lillie analyzed and everyone else nodded their heads
"So do we just wait for him to come apologize?" Iris asked
"Im not going to go look for him" I put as I crossed my arms while looking away from them
"Im sure if he was serious about his apology he'll find you sometime soon" May said
"I don't want talk to him" I replied, keeping my demanding position
"We know you do..." Shauna teased
"You'll come around eventually" Miette said and they could see I almost broke my serious position but I barely held it
"See, just take your time!" Mallow advised
"Ill keep him waiting" I replied harshly but not at Mallow directly and I joined my friends
*Skip to night / Ash's POV
I heard the front door open so I quickly got up and walked down the stairs to see Gary and Fiera come through
"Um, Hey guys" I said
"Out of your room?" Gary asked
"Look i'm sorry alright. I didn't take in to account how you guys felt" I apologized
"We've all accepted your apology already" Fiera replied
"Except for one person" Gary added
"I know, i'm going to go and see her" I explained
"Good luck" Fiera said
"Yeah she really doesn't want to talk to you" Gary backed up
"Stop messing around you guys, this is serious" I said
"We are being serious. She's genuinely mad at you" Fiera replied
"Now I know how she felt..." I sighed
I then ignored what they had told me and I walked past them and through the front door. I then crossed the street and knocked on Serena's front door where her mom answered
"Hey Ash" Grace said suspiciously
"I think you know why i'm here" I replied
"I do" She agreed
"Im genuinely sorry for what I did to your daughter. I-I didn't realize how I was making her feel and I already tried apologizing but she shoved me away, but i don't blame her! It was a bad apology" I explained
"Your good person Ash, she's upstairs in her room" Grace replied and she opened the door for me to step inside
I thanked her and walked up the stairs to where I knew her room was, and I knocked on the door
"Go away Mom" Serena demanded
"I-Its Ash" I said
It took like what felt like forever, but I finally heard her get off the bed and she walked over and opened the door slightly
"What do you want?" She demanded to know and he squinted her eyes at me
"Your not that at good at pretending to be mad" I replied, trying to lighten the mood
"I said what do you want" She demanded once more
"I came to apologize, for real" I answered
"I don't know Ash" She replied
"Serena please..." I pleaded
She then quickly opened the door further and pulled me inside by the shirt, and then closed the door behind me
"Huh?" I asked
Serena then walked back over and sat at the edge of her bed and crossed her arms as she looked at me and we stared at each other in silence
"Im waiting, I don't have all day" Serena put
"Yeah you do" I replied and her cheeks flared up with a red color
"J-Just get on with it" She said
"Look Serena. Im really sorry about everything. I isolated everyone because I felt like they didn't understand, but I realize now that it didn't matter.... we had a deal. And I should've talked to you and I would do anything to take back what I said" I apologized
"Anything?" She asked
"Anything!" I answered
She then motioned with her index finger for me to come closer and I stood in front of her while she continued to sit down
"Didn't I tell you to keep your promises" Serena reminded
"I know..." I sighed
"Well theres only one thing you can do to make it up to me" She then said
"What is it?" I quickly asked
"You have to watch me practice my performing" Serena explained and I gave her a confused look
"Looks like you don't want me to accept your apology then" She replied to my look
"N-No! Im just confused because I would watch it either way, all you had to do was ask" I explained and her cheeks flared up again
*Third Person POV
"O-Ok. a-apology accepted" Serena agreed
"So when are you going to be practicing?" Ash then asked
"Your serious about that?" Serena asked back
"Of course. I wasn't lying when I said all you needed to do was ask me to watch" Ash answered and Serena gave him a tight hug
"I-I lo... I mean....thanks.. Ash" Serena said and Ash could feel her heavy breathing
"Are you alright Serena? You seem like your out of energy" Ash replied and Serena quickly let go and hid her face in her hair
"That doesn't really work Serena, your hair's a little too short" Ash pointed out
"W-Whatever! Will you watch me perform right now?" She asked but Ash shook his head which gave her a mean look but confused look
"Your clearly too tried to practice right now, you should get some rest" He explained
"I promise i'm ok! Pleaseeee just watch me" Serena begged
"Alright but if i see you tired then i'm stopping you" Ash put
"F-Fine!" Serena agreed
