*Serena's POV
Ash is now in the final round, I'm proud of him but it was to be expected, and he got there pretty easily without losing one Pokemon. But his final opponent managed to bring it down to a one on one for the win.
Facing Ash is someone named Drax. From the looks of it, he's an older teen like us that wears all black, and wears a red scarf and gloves, but not ones for keeping you warm, the tougher kind.
"Thanks Greninja, return" Ash said
"Return Venusaur" Drax said
"This guy's good" Miette narrowed her eyes
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash pointed to the battlefield and Pikachu hopped onto the field, its cheeks sparking up with electricity
"Go Gengar!" Drax tossed his Pokeball at a high velocity onto the field
"Alright, lets get it Ashy-boy" Gary cheered
"Something about this guy is off" Leya said
Gary didn't laugh this time, thankfully.
"He just gives off this weird vibe" Shauna agreed
"Let the match begin!" The Ref shouted
"Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Ash started
"Gengar stop that with Phantom Force!" Drax countered
Pikachu glowed white and dashed forward in a zig zag pattern until it reached the other side of the battlefield where it attempted to slam into Gengar, however he phased straight through the Ghost & Poison Type.
"Again!" Ash continued
Pikachu once again activated Quick Attack and went for another attack, but he phased through once more.
"Now use Sucker Punch!" Drax commanded
Gengar lunged forward and landed a big punch to Pikachu that sent it flying back to the other side of the field.
"Alright then, use Thunderbolt and Quick Attack!" Ash instructed
"Counter accordingly" Drax replied
Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt and it phased straight through, but it then followed up with a fast Quick Attack that managed to land just in time.
"Now use Iron Tail!" Ash shouted
Pikachu jumped up and then slammed a hard Iron Tail back down onto Gengar's face which caused the Pokemon to stumble back.
"Quick Attack!"
"Sucker Punch!"
The two attacks collided with a hard force and both Pokemon were sent flying back, however Gengar hit the wall behind him and Pikachu landed safely
"Don't let them rest! Electro Ball!" Ash pressured
Pikachu continued its combo string by jumping and firing an Electro Ball mid air that collided with Gengar, hitting it hard and causing a smoke cloud.
The smoke cloud cleared and Gengar emerged, having taken heavy damage and being in a near fainting sate. His trainer pulled out a strange black and red stone and tightened their fist around it.
"What is that thing?" Dawn asked
"An Ikari stone" Jason answered "Its origins are unknown but I studied it a decent amount back in Alola"
"What does it do?" I inquired
"It channels the damage that a Pokemon has taken in battle and releases it into an attack" Jason explained
