It was Saturday and I hadn't heard from Ash since he told me to go away on Tuesday, but I was texting Gary every day to get an update but nothing seemed to change at all. All I knew was that he was isolating everyone....
"Fenn?" Fennekin asked
"I know it's been days but I'm still worried, what if I hurt our relationship?" I asked back
"Fennekin!" Fennekin assured
"I hope so, I don't want him to isolate me like everyone else! I want him to talk to me.... but he won't!" I replied, saying the last part angrily
"Fenn, Fennekin!" Fennekin then suggested
"That's a good idea! If Ash won't talk to me then he will!" I replied and I rushed to get myself ready
I got ready as if I was going to school and I was done pretty quickly and I walked out the door and saw him....
"Ash!" I called out
He turned to look at me but he then turned back and continued to walk, completely ignoring me which made me pretty annoyed
"See what I mean Fennekin!" I complained
"Fenn" She sighed
I didn't let that stop me from carrying about Fennekin's plan though and I rushed in the other direction Ash had walked in
It took me about 20 minutes but I finally made it to the Pokémon center
"Hi Nurse Joy!" I said
"Hello there Serena!" She replied
"You know who I am?" I asked
"Of course! I absolutely loved your performances" Nurse Joy answered
"O-Oh thanks" I replied
"Anyways, how can I help you?" Nurse Joy then asked
"I came to see my boy-..... my friends Pikachu" I answered
I wanted to hit myself as I had almost accidentally called Ash my boyfriend....
"Well there's only one Pikachu in here, I'm sure he'd be glad to have some company" Nurse Joy asked
I then followed Nurse Joy to Pikachu's room and I walked in and he was pretty injured, similar to Calem. I then thanked Nurse Joy and she left me alone with Pikachu
"Hey Pikachu" I said quietly and he slowly opened his eyes so I waved
"Pika!" He said excitingly
"I heard you weren't feeling so well so I came to see you!" I replied
"Fenn!" Fennekin added
"Pika pi!" He replied
"I guess your excited to see me, but you shouldn't use up your energy" I said as I pet his head
"Pikaaa" He said in comfort as I pet him
"Can I talk to you Pikachu?" I then asked
"Pika" I nodded my head
"You see, Ash really blames himself for your condition. But we both know it was no one's fault! He's really mad at himself and he's isolating everyone, even me.... and he told me to go away and he even ignored me earlier but I won't give up!" I explained
"Pikachu!" He replied
"Thanks Pikachu!" I said
I then stayed with Pikachu for a couple of more minutes until I said goodbye and left alongside Fennekin
I then visited Pikachu the next day and even Monday morning before school, so I was the first one to school as I waited for my friends
"Your here first?" Shauna asked me
"Your never the first one here" Dawn added
"I just had a lot on my mind and something to do" I answered
"What happened?" Miette asked
"Is it about Tuesday?" Shauna also asked
"No... something happened between me and Ash" I answered with a sad tone
"What happened Serena?" Dawn asked
"Did he hurt you?" Iris then asked suspiciously
"N-No! At least not physically...." I answered
"Well tell us what happened Serena" Shauna said
"We won't judge you!" May added
"You see, Pikachu got badly hurt on Wednesday and Ash blames himself for his injuries. He's been isolating everyone about it and he even told me to go away when I tried talking to him about. I didn't seen or heard from him until Saturday after that, where he completely ignored me when I called out to him!" I explained
"I'm sure he's just going to take time to come around" Dawn said
"Yeah believe us" Iris added
"That's what my mom said, but so far I see no difference!" I replied with annoyance as I crossed my arms and turned my head
"Serena, just give him some time" Miette suggested
"Yeah it's not like he's your boyfriend or anything" Shauna said bluntly
"I-I know he's not! But still!" I responded
"Well here comes the others so quiet down" May whispered
"What's all the fuss about?" Kenny asked
"Something about Calem?" Drew also asked
"No it was about Ash" Shauna answered, bluntly again
"Sh-Shauna!" I complained loudly
"What happened to Ash?" Clemont asked
"I'm sure Gary knows. Hey Gary!" Trevor shouted
We all then turned to see Gary and Fiera stop themselves from walking into the school building and walk over to us
"What's up?" Gary asked
"Yeah we're gonna be late" Fiera added
"What's going on with Ash?" Tierno asked
"I already explained and their story won't be any different!" I said
I then covered my ears and everyone gave me a strange look so I also closed my eyes, although I could still hear
"Anyways, Pikachu got badly injured by two wild Houndoom on Wednesday because we had forgotten our Pokeball's. He was only saved when Neptune, in his normal blue by the way, showed up and got us to a Pokémon center" Gary explained
"Neptune saved him?" Lana asked
"That's right, but that's not the point. Ash has been isolating everyone and everything" Fiera replied
"I haven't seen him in days, he hasn't come out of his room and every time I try he responds like he'll beat me up if I go into his room" Gary added, sounding a little scared
"Well there he goes" Lillie said quietly
I then quickly opened my eyes and removed my hands from ears at Lillie's comment and I could see Ash enter the building, with no emotion in his face
"He sure does look mad" Kiawe pointed out
"Just try and keep your distance for now" Shauna advised and he elbowed me
"Stop it Shauna!" I shouted
"Alright, alright. Don't get all defensive" Shauna replied
"Yeah like she said, it's not like he's your boyfriend" Miette added
"I-I know that!" I responded
I then got up and began to walk away while Gary and Fiera trailed behind as I forgot I had first class with them and Ash
I mentally sighed because I usually tried to sit to next Ash and I was successful 100% of the time so far but today he sat in the corner so I left him alone by sitting with Fiera and Gary in the front
"Good choice Serena" Gary said
"B-But what if he hates me more for not sitting next to him!?" I asked back, a little loud
"Don't be silly Serena, Ash isn't that weird" Fiera replied and I gave her a weird look
I then slowly turned around to try and get a look at Ash and make it as subtle and natural, but he ended up looking up and noticing me with his cold and emotionless so I looked away quickly
"What'd you see?" Gary asked
"He gave me a cold look" I answered with annoyance
"I'm sure he'd give anyone that cold look" Gary assured
"If you say so" I replied with the same annoyance
"Hey! Being mad or annoyed with me isn't helping!" Gary complained
"I'm not mad or annoyed at you" I insisted
The lesson then began and Gary & Fiera we're paying attention but I was unable to as I would occasionally glance back at Ash but he would look up and give me the same cold look each time
"I can't do this anymore" I sighed
"Whats going on?" Fiera asked
"Every time I look back at Ash he somehow notices and gives me that same harsh look" I explained
"Im sure its just his natural facial expression right now" Gary said
"Yeah I doubt he actually hates you on a personal level" Fiera added
"I hope so" I said under my breath
I made my way through the day until the next roadblock in me and Ash's relationship would come during lunch with a poor decision
Our entire group was gathered around the lunch table while we noticed someone was missing
"Wheres Ash?" Kiawe asked
"Over there" Drew answered as he pointed
We slightly turned but just enough to see Ash sitting by himself
"Do we go sit with him?" Shauna asked
"I don't think thats a good idea" Fiera answered
"Why not?" Miette then asked
"Well if you want to cause a scene in front of the whole school you can go and try" Gary replied
"Why don't we just go and confront him about it" Tierno suggested
"All we have to do is explain that were here for him" Lillie agreed and Tierno nodded his head
"I don't know guys" I said nervously
"I thought you would be on board for this out of everyone Serena" Gary said
"Yeah, whats gotten into you now?" Shauna asked
"N-Nothing, I just know this isn't going to end well" I answered
"Theres only one way to find out" Lana said
"Whats the worst that could happen" Iris agreed
"You guys can go, ill stay back" I said
"Alright Serena, if you say so" May replied
I then watched as the others got up from the table and walked over to Ash, I ended up getting up also so I could stand closer and listen
"Ash? Are you alright?" Dawn asked and he looked up and gave her the harsh look which made her take a step back
"You can talk to us Ash" Mallow said
"Yeah we'll listen" Trevor backed up
"I don't want to talk" Ash replied as he got up
"Ash don't be like this, it wasn't your fault" Gary said
"No one could have anticipated the attack" Lana added
"If I hadn't been so forgetful then it wouldn't have happened, now go sit back over there" Ash demanded as he pointed back to our original seats
"Don't be so stubborn Ash" Kiawe pleaded
"Ive never seen you like this so whats changed" May said suspicously
"Nothings changed" He said quietly and he walked past the group
On his way out though he slightly turned to me with the harsh look from before which made me pretty sad
"I guess he really is taking it personally" Tierno said
"Im going after Ash" I then announced
"You sure Serena?" Shauna asked
"Whats going to be different?" Miette also asked
"Im sure Serena on her own can at least get further than us" Lillie assumed
"Even if its only a little bit" Gary agreed
I then rushed to go find Ash while the group trailed behind and kept their distance. It took about 5 minutes but i finally found Ash sitting on a bench with his back towards me and I slowly approached him while the others stood at the entrance, not too far away
I walked up to Ash from behind and took of his hat and then ruffled his hair
"I like your hair" I complimented
"What do you want Serena" He said
"I know the others didn't get that far, I told them not to try. But I really want you to talk to me" I explained
"You wouldn't understand" He put harshly and with annoyance
"Then tell me!" I snapped back
"Leave me alone!" Ash demanded and hearing that pretty again pretty much broke me as it came from someone I admired so much
"I will then! Your not the Ash I know!" I shouted and I stormed off
*Third Person POV
"I feel bad for Serena" Lana said sadly
"Me too, should we go find her?" Shauna asked
"I think she needs some space too" Gary answered
"This time we've learned our lesson" Kenny said
Someone nearby though had watched the conversation and was thinking to himself
* "Strange interactions. That is all I know. It will take more then that to get Ash to come to consensus..." Neptune though to himself
