Jaune Arc is sleeping during the night inside JNPR's dormroom.
Jaune: Waffles...
Jaune suddenly wakes up to a call on his Scroll, with the ringtone "It's a Big Ursa!" playing.
Jaune: Hello?
Jaune hears noise for six seconds from Ruby's Scroll before the call ends.
Jaune: Uh, Ruby?
Later on, Team JNPR walks at dawn towards their Bullhead.
Pyrrha: I'm sure they're fine.
Jaune: You think?
Nora: Probably a butt dial...
Ren: Team RWBY has always performed exceptionally in the field. We should be focusing on our own mission.
Nora: We're gonna be deputies!
Jaune: I just got this feeling... I don't know.
Pyrrha: Jaune...
Suddenly, alarms ring out as they see the city up in smoke.
Jaune: We're changing our mission. Everyone on board!
As the team heads toward their Bullhead, Jaune does a headcount.
Jaune: Ren, we'll make it to that village another time. Take us into the city!
Teams RWBY, SPAN, and MIET are surrounded in the middle of the pavilion by Beowolves, Ursai, and a massive King Taijitu. The King Taijitu unleashes a mighty roar, signaling the Grimm to attack.
Ruby Rose plants Crescent Rose on the ground before kicking away the Grimm, Yang Xiao Long propels herself upwards, performing aerial bombardments with Ember Celica on the Grimm before three Giant Nevermores send her crashing to the ground.
Blake Belladonna slashes a Beowolf with Gambol Shroud before firing on the other approaching Grimm. Weiss Schnee slashes three Beowolves, before summoning a glyph to conjure up an ice blade. May shoot the Grimm in the head, while infusing aura to increase the damage and range of how much she is attacking.
Emerald is both shooting and slashing at the Beowulves that are approaching. Ilia camouflaged and snuck behind the Beowulves, so that she could shock it to death. Trifa used her web to swing a Beowulf and and kill it at the same time. Amber, Who is now disguised, attacked with fire, wind, and ice in its most powerful and destructive properties, by burning them, shocking them, and freezing them to the point that they can shatter. Neo brought her blade out, and kicked them away, so that she can stab the Beowulves in the head.
Papyrus used his speed to get around the Beowulf, and use his sword arm to cut them in half, completely clean. He than later jumped over one, and stabbed its back.
Sans, however, took the fight to a whole other level. Who took flight, and take on the King Taijitu, and used a Abyss Gaster Blaster, and shoots in the face. He even used a bomb from the train they stopped.
Yang, back on the ground, sends several cars flying towards the Grimm. As Ruby finishes slashing at a Grimm, she notices the King Taijitu ready for the attack.
Sans is using his Blasters and Abyss Chains to stop it, but the petrification only took on the arms. He was about to smash its head with a crystal ball, until she also sees Nora Valkyrie flying on her Magnhild hammer towards the King Taijitu, suddenly slamming it on the head and killing the beast.
Nora: "Nora Smash!"
Sans: "I had that!"
Jaune, Pyrrha Nikos and Lie Ren soon follow.
Pyrrha: Let's move!
Jaune: Okay, who's first?
Jaune turns around to notice a giant Ursa standing behind him.
Jaune: Oh-oh-okay, you're first, huh? Okay, no, that's fine. Totally fine, done this before, done this before...
With a mighty scream, Jaune slashes the Ursa several times before it falls. Pyrrha smiles, as she notices his improvement. A few feet from the fallen Ursa, Sun Wukong and Neptune Vasilias arrive, flashing their badges.
Sun: Nobody move! Junior detectives!
Neptune: We have badges so you know it's official!
A fleet coming from the Atlesian Military, consisting of dropships deploying Atlesian Knight-200 units and the flagship. Sun and Neptune react in awe of the fleet as Sun drops his badge to the floor. As Team RWBY looks up in the sky, an Ursa takes the opportunity to attack Ruby from behind. However, it is gunned down by a dropship's machine gun.
As the robotic Knights deploy, they start gunning down the Grimm. Two of the Knights are stampeded on by a Boarbatusk, but a separate group of three Knights fire on an Ursa and another Ursa has fallen from a Knight's punch. Cinder nods her head, signaling Mercury to attack the Grimm as she walks off. As an Ursa receives the business end of Mercury's Boots, at least half a dozen assorted Grimm stand in front of him. Mercury than used his boots to shoot them, where they drop dead on the ground. Sans noticed their presence, and was thinking about it.
"They're here. Salem's Henchman. I must approach them after this."
Out of the opening comes Zwei, followed by Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck in a damaged Atlesian Paladin-290.
An airship arrives, dropping off Team CFVY and Professor Peter Port. As Yatsuhashi Daichi is surrounded by a pack of Grimm, he swings his mighty greatsword on the ground, unleashing a shockwave. Velvet Scarlatina and Fox Alistair respectively kick and punch the Grimm, and Fox unleashes a combo of slashes and punches that make a spiked Ursa explode, impaling the nearby Grimm with its spikes.
Coco later gives Fox a light pat on the butt
Coco: "Nice hustle, Fox. Good job."
Coco approaches a large Beowolf.
Coco: "You just destroyed my favorite clothing store. "
She later spits on the ground, to the right of her direction, before glaring st the Beowulf.
"Prepare to die."
Coco, after swatting away its right hand, kicks the Beowolf in the crotch. She, as it falls to the ground and looks at her, leans down and slams her bag onto its head. She effortlessly swats away more Beowolves, and the rest of Team CFVY resume fighting. Velvet steps forward, about to open her box.
Coco: "Hey, come on, you just spent all the semester building that up. Don't waste it here."
Coco then transforms her handbag into a giant minigun, and starts firing, slaughtering the advancing horde of Grimm, including a Death Stalker and three Nevermores, while using her semblance that she calls: Hype! Port and Oobleck regroup at the opening, nodding their heads. They fire their weapons at the approaching Grimm, while Glynda Goodwitch mops up the remnants and immediately closes the opening with the power of telekinesis.
Emerald and Sans then approach Ruby and they smile at each other. Team JNPR is seen exchanging smiles, Sun and Neptune bump fists, Team CFVY likewise smile at each other, and Port and Oobleck do the same while Glynda watches from behind. The camera then points towards the orange and pink-colored sky. Coco later came out of nowhere, picked Sans up, and kissed him in the cheek, making Sans blush madly at that act. With Velvet doing the same, albeit more gentler than Coco, he covered his face with the fluffs of his hood.
Afterwards, Teams RWBY, MIET, SPAN, and Zwei are sitting on the edge of Beacon's landing platform, overlooking the City of Vale from across the lake.
Papyrus: Well, we did it.
Blake: We did it.
Weiss: If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm gonna be seriously disappointed.
Neo: Weiss, a two-headed snake literally crushed a bakery. I wouldn't count on it.
Emerald: "Plus, I mean, we didn't solve everything. A lot of people were injured, and we still don't even know why they did this, or who that mystery girl was."
That was an act. She knows who it is, thanks to Sans, but does not reveal it, because Sans wants to ales care of it herself. Ruby knows to, but hides for the exact same reason.
Sans: "Well...not every story has a neat and tidy ending."
Ilia: "We might not have all the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. "
Trifa: "Yes. And I think that's something we could be proud of."
Amber: "Indeed. And if anyone dares try something like this again, we'll be there to stop them."
May: "and we're always here to watch out for one another's backs."
Yang is than lying down on her back.
"Yay, teamwork, camaraderie, good guys, go team, alright, good job... So, what now?"
Weiss: "I suggest training for the tournament, but I guess we have that covered at this point."
Blake, Ilia, and Trifa: "So then..."
Ruby: "Uhh... Time for bed?"
Yang: "Please."
Blake: "Absolutely."
Emerald: "Yes."
Neo: I'm going to sleep forever.
Team RWBY, MIET, and PAN and Zwei then stand up and heads back towards Beacon's main campus. Sans, however, has one last important thing to do, before anything else. He summoned a portal, and go to his chosen location.
Cinder: "All in all, I call today a success. Those stupid kids made a lot of messes today."
Mercury: "Yeah. A lot of Faunus didn't make it out the tunnels. You still think the White Fang's gonna listen to us?"
Adam Taurus than came back, but looked rather injured, due to the encounter with Sans.
Adam: "No, but they'll listen to me."
He spoke out, as him and Mercury goes back to their hideout. As they left, Cinder looks at the entirety of Vale, as she speaks out her mind.
"Soon, I will have all the power at my fingertips. Vale and all of Remnant will soon be mine! And I will be the one to rule it all, everyone trembling in fear beneath my—"
"I don't think you are the one to decide that...Pal."
Cinder stopped, knowing where that voice had come from..but it can't be, right? As she turned, she find Sans looking at her from behind, while eating his fluffy hood, in order to cover up his entire face. Cinder than instantly recognized Sans himself, the one who rescinded Amber.
"You..."
Sans frowns, but in a rather more angry way.
"Me..."
He spoke, as she began to circle around her. Cinder looks angry at Sans, unable to believe he has the nerve to see her.
"You know, you have a lot of nerve coming here, thinking you can play the Gods, believing that you are all powerful, and that you can do however you believe to please on. But guess what, Henchman of Salem...you can never play this game. You maybe believe you are all powerful, but you and your friends are still mortal. You can still die, in any way, at any place. You may want power, and I want a similar thing, but you only desire it for your own selfish deed, which in your case, you use it to make other fear you of your power. I want it to show people their wrongs, and gain acceptance, in which your choices, becomes your greatest of all downfalls."
Cinder, unable to contain her anger and what the person in front of her is saying, than spoke this out loud.
"What are you saying?! Speak up, right now!!"
Sans than spoke out to her, in a calm, but cold voice, to the point that she felt like she will actually shiver before him.
"I am saying... is that when we meet again, when there is no one interfering with both of our battles...
He lifts his head, with his eyes closed, before opening them, and then used his black eyes to manage and actually scare Cinder, and she is seen shaking, while Abyss makes a blade that is made completely out of crystal.
"I will make sure...that encounter will be your last. You shall die by my hand, and shall be sent straight to the depths of Hell."
Sans than speed warped out of the location, actually scaring Cinder, for the first time in her entire life. She has no idea how to deal with this thing. Thankfully, Salem granted her magic that is comparable to the Maidens she's trying to hunt, but with Sans in the way, she doesn't know if it is enough to Kill the person that she'll fight.
