"Now," she said, breaking the silence, "I promised that you'd hear me sing again."

"You did," I said, leading her to a chair next to my Organ, "but first, I'd like to get to know you a bit better."

"Very well," she said sitting down, "what would you like to know?"

I thought for a moment, "you said you had no relatives in Paris, are you an orphan?"

"I'm not an orphan," she replied, "I moved to Paris almost a year ago now."

"Where are you from?" I asked.

"The Orkney Islands of Scotland."

"You don't have an Orcadian accent."

"I think I get that from my Mum."

"At least you have a Mother that loves you," I said avoiding eye contact with her.

"That's just the thing that bothers me," she said.

I looked at her confused. She lowered her head, "I don't think she ever loved me."

I put two fingers under her chin and got her to face me, "what makes you think that?"

She was silent for a moment until she answered, "she would always be negative about the things I did. My school work, my hobbies, things I did in in clubs or groups I went to and my singing. It would be very rare she would give me a positive comment. The rest of the time she'd give me negative comments and tried to get me to compare with her friends' daughters," she was starting to tear up a bit.

"Is that why you moved away?" I asked curiously.

She nodded and started to sob a little, "I came here hoping things would be different but everyone I've met treats me the same."

I grabbed her hands and looked her in the eye, "not everyone. I promise I'll never treat you like everyone else has."

"And in return," she said smiling a little, "neither will I."

I waited for her to calm down before she told me more about herself; hobbies, interests and how she first found out about me which was only four years ago.

Addie's POV:

We talked for what felt like hours but I didn't mind, I could only assume Erik hasn't talked to anyone in years. After we talked, I sang for him which I was happy to do. I sang:

Which Erik sang with me.

Again Erik sang with me

(A/N: told ya there would be a lot of songs in this chapter)

But then a song played that I forgot was on my playlist: Beneath a moonless sky from Love never dies. I was about to change it but Erik stopped me.

"What's this song from?" He asked.

"Beneath a moonless sky," I replied, "it's from the sequel of your story."

"Nothing else happened after the fire," he said, "can you sing it anyway?"

"Y-yeah" I stuttered scared to see his reaction.

Christine:

I should have known that you'd be here
I should have known it all along
This whole arrangement bears your stamp
Your in each measure of that song
How dare you try and claim me now?
How dare you come invade my life?

Me:

Oh, Christine, my Christine
In that time when the world thought me dead
My Christine, on that night just before you were wed
Ah, Christine, you came and found where I hid
Don't you deny that you did
That long ago night

Christine:

That night

Me:

Once there was a night
Beneath a moonless sky
Too dark to see a thing
Too dark to even try

Christine:

I stole to your side
To tell you I must go
I couldn't see your face
But sensed you even so
And I touched you

Me:

And I felt you

Both:

And I heard those ravishing refrains

Christine:

The music of your pulse

Me:

The singing in your veins

Christine:

And I held you

Me:

And I touched you

Christine:

And embraced you

Me:

And I felt you

Both:

And with every breath and every sigh

Christine:

I felt no longer scared

Me:

I felt no longer shy

Both:

At last, our feelings bared
Beneath a moonless sky

Christine:

And blind in the dark
As soul gazed into soul
I looked into your heart
And saw you pure and whole

Me:

Cloaked under the night
With nothing to suppress
A woman and a man
No more and yet no less
And I kissed you

Christine:

And caressed you

I think Erik finally understood what this song was about because his head instantly went over to my phone with, I'm assuming, a shocked expression.

Both:

And the world around us fell away
We said things in the dark
We never dared to say

Me:

And I caught you

Christine:

And I kissed you

Me:

And I took you

Christine:

And caressed you

Both:

With a need to blatant to deny
And nothing mattered then
Except for you and I
Again and then again
Beneath a moonless sky

Me:

And when it was done
Before the sun could rise
Ashamed of what I was
Afraid to see your eyes
I stood while you slept
And whispered a goodbye
And slipped into the dark
Beneath a moonless sky

Christine:

And I loved you

I put my head in my hands because I forgot that lyric and I couldn't bear to see his faces reaction.

Yes I loved you
I'd have followed anywhere you led
I woke to swear my love
And found you gone instead

Me:

And I loved you (head still in my hands)

Christine:

How I loved you

Me:

And I left you

Christine:

How I loved you

Me:

And I had to both of us knew why

Christine:

We both knew why

Both:

And yet I won't regret
From now until I die
The night I can't forget
Beneath a moonless sky

Me:

And now

Christine:

How can you talk of now?
For us
There is no now.

I found the courage to look up at him to find him dumbfounded from what he just heard. I paused the music and looked at him.

"Given your current look, this never happened, did it?" I asked in a soft tone. He looked me in the eye and nodded his head in agreement.

"I had a feeling," I said hanging my head low, "that's why I tried to skip that song but you stopped me."

"Are you blaming me for this?" He asked with anger in his voice.

I popped my head up and replied, "I never said I was blaming you for anything. It's my fault for not warning you that this song may mentally hurt you since you cared for her."

I hung my head low again feeling ashamed of myself. Erik is the one person I've always wanted to meet and I've already made him feel bad because of something I didn't mean. I got pulled out of my thoughts when Erik took my hand.

I looked up at him and he said, "I didn't mean to take it the wrong way, please forgive me."

I smiled and said, "I forgive you."

(A/N: chapter three done! See you next time)
