I was currently making my way to school with all of the girls in tow. Let's count 'em, shall we?
Walking with me was: Rias, Asia, Sona, Akeno, Koneko, Xenovia, Mittelt, Ni, Li, Mihae, Ravel, Ile, Nel, Momo (Hanakai), Reya, Tsubasa, Tsubaki, Tomoe and Meguri. Karma was with us too.
I swear, people were glaring at me as if Hitler, Trump and Napoleon had a three way and I was the result, which wasn't the case.
I'm not short, Evil and Retarded. I'm tall, Smart and generally a good guy...most of the time.
I decided to address the current staring.
Y/n: "Oi! If you've got a problem, then go fuck yourselves!"
A few of the girls started giggling when everyone backed off.
Sona: "oh! That reminds me, I've gotta go and deal with the day trip today!"
Y/n: "day trip?"
Sona smiled at me.
Sona: "Totsuki academy is sending a few students here for the day. The ultimate purpose is to strengthen the bonds between our two schools."
My mind ticked for a few seconds until the face of another red head that I knew all too well popped into my brain.
Y/n: "...he's gonna be coming here, isn't he?"
Sona: "you'll have to find that out yourself.~"
She kissed me on the cheek before she and the student council headed to their office. To my surprise, Momo followed up with the same action.
Rias: "someone's getting popular."
Y/n: "Rias, you do know that I could do that exact same thing right the fuck now."
Rias: "maybe that's what I want.~"
Koneko: "get a room."
Y/n/Rias: "don't tempt me!"
The others started to laugh when Kiba showed up with Gasper in tow.
Kiba: "hey guys!"
Gasper: "h-hi guys."
Ile: "hiya!"
Kiba: "everyone seems to be a bit on edge today, any idea why?"
Y/n: "Apparently, Totsuki Academy's sending some of their students our way."
Kiba: "right, that makes a lot of sense actually."
Our group walked into the building when I heard someone shouting from outside.
???: "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LOOK SCARY, RYO!!!!!"
???: "sorry, Miss. I think I left them on the bus here."
???: "u-umm, could you calm down please, Alice?"
???: "haha! Now then, let's start searching!"
???: "how do you know he's even going to be here, Soma?"
My look of confusion turned into a smirk.
Rias: "Y/n, I don't like that look."
Y/n: "what're you talking about?"
Before she could answer, I climbed up one of the pillars and clung to the supports above the door.
???: "huh? Karma!!"
Karma: "Soma Yukihira, you crazy bastard!"
The two ran over to each other and smashed their hands together in a pretty manly handshake.
The boy that was talking to Karma was another pal of mine from Junior high, we didn't go to the same one, but we'd constantly run into each other whenever I walked home.
Soma: "haha! It's good to see you again, buddy!"
Karma: "same here, you look like you're doing well for yourself."
Soma: "yeah, Totsuki's a completely different ball park from what I'm used to, but it's good."
???: "who's this guy?"
Karma: "sorry, I haven't introduced myself. Name's Karma Akabane."
???: "your names literally Karma?"
Karma: "yup!"
A girl standing next to Soma with a very regal aura spoke up next.
???: "hmph, my name's Erina Nakiri."
After Erina, a purple haired girl with a very hardass vibe spoke up.
???: "I'm her secretary, Hisako Arato."
After her, a tanned girl wearing clothes that left very little to the imagination stepped forwards.
???: "Name's Ikumi Mito. Nice to meetcha."
Karma: "I'd be careful wearing that around this place. It's perv central here."
Ikumi: "I'll keep that in mind."
After her, a very Asia-esque girl stepped forwards.
???: "I-I'm Megumi Tadokoro. I-it's a pleasure to meet you."
Karma: "getting serious Asia vibes here."
Soma: "huh?"
Karma: "oh, it's just that one of my club mates is the shy, quiet type too, she's called Asia Argento. She's right there actually."
Asia gave a small wave at the group. A rather attractive albino girl saw this and was immediately infatuated.
???: "SHE'S SO CUTE!!"
The girl rocketed forwards and started hugging Asia.
Asia: "u-umm, I'm very confused."
Soma: "That's Alice. Erina's Cousin."
Y/n: "goddamn, OUCH!"
Cykran: "I have to agree."
Ddraig: "yup, she's hot."
I nodded my head and got ready to say hello myself.
Then a rather tall guy stepped forwards with a bored expression.
???: "hello, my name's Ryo Kurokiba. Nice to meet you."
Soma: "don't worry, he's always like that until he puts that headband on. Then he goes crazy."
Karma: "ha! Sounds like a party."
The rest of the ORC stepped up and introduced themselves. Megumi and Asia seemed to get along pretty well, Alice took a liking to Ni, Li and Koneko. Kiba and Ryo seemed to get along pretty well too.
Soma: "so, where's the big guy?"
Karma started to snigger.
Soma: "Karma?"
Erina: "could you provide a satisfactory answer?"
Karma said nothing, he just pointed upwards.
I made my move and slithered down the pillar whilst the others laughed. Karma was struggling to keep a straight face as Erina became more and more impatient.
Erina: "just tell us where this Y/n Hyoudou person is!"
Rias: "miss Erina, he's right there."
Erina turned around and saw...nothing. I had moved around next to Rias when she told them where to look. I then snuck up behind them and roared as loud as I could, scaring all of them and causing Erina to fall flat on her ass.
Y/n: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Soma burst out laughing as well.
Soma: "Y/n!"
Y/n: "Soma!"
The two of us exchanged a bro hug whilst we laughed at the others. Then Alice got up in my face.
Alice: "WHAT'D YOU DO THAT FOR!?!?"
Y/n: "because it was funny."
Alice: "WHAT PART OF SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF SOMEONE IS FUNNY TO YOU!?!?"
Y/n: "the whole thing."
Kiba, Karma and Soma were in stitches with laughter as the conversation progressed.
Alice: "WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF ONE OF US WAS HURT!?!?"
Y/n: "I'd have laughed harder."
Erina: "I demand to know what kind of insolent moron you are to think that's acceptable!?"
Y/n: "the not boring kind, basically not you."
Now it was Alice's turn to start laughing.
Erina: "how rude! Have you no sense of right or wrong!?"
Y/n: "pfft, fuck no!"
Soma: "I told you, he's not what any of you are used to."
Erina stepped back with the casual use of an F-bomb in her presence.
Ikumi: "let me guess, he's the jokey asshole that nobody really wants to hang out with?"
Y/n: "well you aren't exactly the popular girl based on looks alone, I wouldn't hesitate to call you something rather rude."
Soma: "she's known as the meat master around the school."
And there goes the last nail into the coffin.
Y/n: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Ikumi: "what's so funny!?"
Rias: "sorry about him, he's just playing."
Y/n: "you'd know all about that, wouldn't you?"
Rias turned bright red whilst Kiba and Karma buckles onto the floor with laughter.
Rias: "Y/n, just because we're dating doesn't mean that I won't kill you."
Y/n: "we both know that you won't."
Soma: "woah, woah, woah. Back up a second."
Alice/Erina/Ikumi/Soma: "YOU TWO ARE DATING!?!?"
Y/n: "fuck yeah!"
Rias: "yes, although his current behaviour would suggest otherwise, he's actually a very kind person."
Soma: "considering that he would always take stray dogs and cats to animal shelters, that doesn't surprise me."
Alice: "seriously!? He's like, a five. You're a solid ten! Why him!?"
Y/n: "well it's the same as the fact that, if everyone chose based on looks alone, you'd be getting railed seven ways from Sunday already. But because your personality is present, I see nobody."
Erina: "he has a point, Alice. You'll never find yourself a suitor unless you fix your attitude."
Alice/Y/n: "you're one to talk!"
Before another argument could break out, Korosensei came downstairs to us.
Korosensei: "alright everyone, calm down."
Erina: "WHAT IS THAT!?"
Karma: "that's our teacher."
Korosensei: "that's right. Now then, everyone make your way to your classes. Soma Yukihira, Erina and Alice Nakiri, Ikumi Mito. You four are in my class. Follow me please."
Y/n: "yo, we training today?"
Korosensei: "yes, second period until fourth period, we'll be training."
Alice: "Training?"
Karma: "yeah, kinda forgot to mention. Y/n and I are basically assassins at this point. This guy trained us to be assassins in junior high."
Y/n: "yeah, Karma and I were in the top five in that class."
Korosensei: "yes well, we have music first period so let's go!"
I noticed that Soma had a container out and was taking small bites from it.
Y/n: "that the stuff I asked you to make?"
Soma: "yup, I knew you were evil, I wasn't expecting this though."
We both chuckled as we entered the class.
During music class, I was partnered up with Alice. To say that the class was entertaining would be an understatement.
Katase: "hey, Soma. Can I try one of those cookies?"
Soma: "sure, go ahead."
We both smirked as she took a bite. We burst out laughing as Katase started fanning her mouth. Why was she fanning her mouth?
Soma Loaded the cookies with ghost chillis.
Alice and I were actually having a blast watching the 'landmine cookies' go off around the class.
Korosensei: "Soma, could you put the edible hand grenades away please?"
Soma: "sure."
He put the box away in his bag whilst we both laughed.
Korosensei: "alright, Y/n and Alice, could either of you tell me three key signatures with letter names. It can be any one."
Alice: "G major, B minor and..."
Y/n: "C# minor."
Korosensei: "full marks, you two!"
He did the same with a few others and then it was time to bring out the instruments.
Turned out that Alice had a pretty good voice. I brought out one of the new guitars that I had found in my new guitar room in my castle in the underworld.
I named it, 'The Royalty'
A beautiful LTD les paul electric guitar.
I pretty much came when I saw that standing in the corner of my guitar room.
Alice: "wow, didn't realise you were good with your fingers."
I glanced up and saw that same look that Akeno has when she sees something she likes...mostly me.
I then decided to play one of my favourite songs, Fallen by Volbeat.
Everyone in the room was in awe at how effortless I made it look to play the riffs and the solo.
After first period, we spent three periods drilling stabbing and slashing. Karma and I were teaching Soma and the others the basics of assassination.
I taught Alice and Erina while Karma taught Soma and Ikumi.
After the school were over, Karma and I said our goodbyes to the Totsuki gang and headed to the ORC. When we arrived there, Rias told us that we had a stray Devil to take out.
3rd POV
The group arrived at an old warehouse where this stray devil was supposedly holed up. None of them noticed that Soma and the others hadn't actually left.
Alice had insisted on staying for a while and checking the place out. They got permission to stay for the summer. They were currently watching the group of devils from the shadows.
Ryo: "what're they talking about?"
Alice: "shut up, Ryo. I'm listening."
Rias: "does everyone understand the plan. Kiba, Xenovia, Siris and Karlamine, all of you be on standby. Apparently this creature's fast."
Knights: "right!"
Rias: "Y/n, don't do too much damage."
Y/n: "no promises."
He smirked and, to the surprise of the Totsuki group, seven pairs of fiery, feathered wings sprouted from his back.
Y/n: "Ni, Li. Think you two can cover for me?"
Ni: "sure!"
Li: "well try our best!"
The two cats ran in and the sounds of fighting could be heard. Then Y/n bolted in at inhuman speeds. He crashed into the stray devil, which was a hideous, spider-like creature, and summoned a burst of flames to deal some major damage to the creature.
Koneko ran in and grabbed it, then, with the help of Xuelan and Isabella, it was thrown out of the door straight towards Akeno.
Alice: "What the hell is that thing!?"
Y/n's ears twitched, he'd heard them.
Y/n: "Koneko, we've got company, I'm gonna go deal with it."
Koneko: "right."
He shot straight up and pierced the clouds. When He was sure that he was out of sight, he dived and silently dropped down behind the Totsuki group. They hadn't seen or heard him.
They could see Rias destroying the stray devil.
Erina: "What was that creature, it didn't even look human!"
Y/n: "because it wasn't fully human in the first place."
They all jumped and turned to see Y/n standing over them with his wings out and on full display.
Y/n: "I thought you guys were going back to Totsuki?"
Alice: "we got permission to stay for the summer. Anyway, you have some explaining to do, mister!"
Y/n sighed and held a hand up to his ear.
Y/n: "Rias, The guys from Totsuki saw our little adventure. What should I do? Erase their minds? Or explain the situation?"
Rias: "*sigh* I should've seen this coming. Bring them back home, explain what's happening. Also remember that you're leaving the peerage tomorrow."
Y/n: "I know."
He let his arm rest at his side.
Y/n: "come on, follow me."
He retracted his wings and walked away. The group followed in silence.
Soma: "...what was that thing?"
Y/n: "that was a stray devil. They start out as devils servants, but strays kill their master for freedom. Once that happens, they become hideous monsters like the one you saw tonight."
Erina: "what about you? Are you a servant?"
Y/n: "not for long, tomorrow I become a high ranking devil. I'll have to leave Rias' peerage, in return though, I'll get my own peerage."
Alice: "so what's with the wings?"
Y/n: "I'm half Phoenix. My father is a highborn devil. He's the first devil as a matter of fact."
Hisako: "then, that means..."
Y/n: "I'm a prince by bloodline, but the title of devil king has to be earned, it's not for me. Rias and Sona's siblings are two devil kings."
Erina: "Rias' sibling is a king!?"
Y/n: "yup, and Rias is sometimes called the empress of annihilation."
The group collectively gulped and then they arrived at Y/n's home. They looked at the house in awe and He brought them inside.
Rias was sitting on the couch, waiting patiently for them to arrive. When Y/n brought them in, she welcomed the group with a smile.
Rias: "hello there. I'd imagine that you have a few questions?"
Alice: "a few yeah."
Rias: "I'll try and answer all of them as best I can. Aside from that, Y/n, my brother's here and he wants to see you."
Erina: "y-y-your brother?"
Y/n: "I'll go see him."
Rias: "have fun...and no talk about marriage when I'm not there!"
Y/n: "Ha! Try and stop me!"
He laughed all the way up the stairs.
When he entered one of the small conference rooms, he saw Sirzechs, Serafall and Grayfia with Michael, Gabriel and Azazel standing around and having a casual chat like friends would.
Sirzechs: "Y/n."
Y/n: "what's with the meeting of the leaders?"
Michael: "I didn't want to miss your promotion."
Gabriel: "I just wanted to see you!"
Azazel: "I'm here because I can be."
Serafall: "this is devil king business, it's only natural that I'm here."
Grayfia: "emotional support."
Nerolyth: "thanks for the offer, but Y/n's got me for that."
Grayfia: "I know that, I'm the emotional support for this big crybaby."
She pointed at Sirzechs.
Sirzechs: "hey, I promise that I won't cry during this."
Grayfia leaned over and whispered into Y/n's ear.
Grayfia: "he cried three times just thinking about it."
Y/n: "pfft, haha!"
Sirzechs: "anyway! I've decided to promote you to a high ranking devil now rather than tomorrow. Are you prepared?"
He steeled himself, he was about to enter high rank.
Y/n: "just out of childish curiosity, is there a G-rank after this."
Azazel and Gabriel both laughed lightly.
Azazel: "I wish, kid."
Sirzechs: "if you're ready, then I'll place the King Piece within you."
Y/n nodded and closed his eyes. Sirzechs stepped forwards and held out his hand, creating a magic circle and removing the Pawn pieces that were already within him.
Downstairs, Rias felt his energy leaving the pawn pieces and bolted up the stairs and nearly broke the door down. When she entered, she saw that Y/n had a strange looking king piece being placed inside of his body.
Rias: "Y/n..."
With a blinding flash of light, the king piece was absorbed into Y/n's body. He opened his eyes and stumbled a bit. Luckily, Gabriel caught him before he fell.
Rias: "Brother, what was that king piece that you gave him?"
Sirzechs: "it's actually something that Ajuka has been cooking up. It allows the person it's bestowed upon to have a peerage of up to thirty. Sixteen pawns, four bishops, four rooks, four knights and two queens. It's the same as how you had to have a second king piece bestowed upon you."
Rias: "I-I understand."
She looked towards her lover with an unbelievable amount of pride in her heart.
Rias: "can Y/n and I speak in private please?"
Sirzechs nodded and he and the others left. Leaving the couple there.
Y/n: "Rias, I..."
Rias: "I don't want to hear it. I just want you to promise me, don't forget about me, okay?"
She wore a saddened smile. Y/n smiled right back with his 'I know something you don't' smirk. He then walked forwards.
Y/n: "I'm not going to. I figure that this is just as good a time as any to ask this but..."
It was time in Y/n's mind. He was already in this position with Sona. Time to make it fair for Rias.

The group from Totsuki we're talking with the other girls that lived with Y/n. Rias had agreed to make them her new pawns when Y/n was promoted. When they talked, they heard Rias shouting from upstairs.
Rias: "Yes! OH MY SATAN, YES!!"
Everyone turned red.
Alice: "I wonder what's going on up there."
Sona: "if they're doing it, then I want my turn."
Serafall ran down the stairs with stars in her eyes.
Sona: "big sister!"
Erina: "t-that's one of the devil kings?"
Serafall: "did you hear that!?"
Sona: "yes, a-are they...?"
Serafall: "no, Y/n just proposed to Rias!"
Everyone went wide eyed.
Akeno: "oh my, I guess I won't be far behind."
Serafall: "knowing him, he'll have a massive harem by the end of the year."
All of the girls giggled while Soma just looked impressed. He then walked over to the kitchen.
Momo: "huh? Soma, what're you doing?"
Soma: "we're celebrating, right? Then there's gotta be some food."
Everyone smiled and then the newly engaged couple walked down the stairs.
Y/n: "what's going on here?"
Serafall: "I just told them about what happened."
Y/n: "oh yeah, high rank devil, by the way!"
Everyone cheered, then Rias held up her hand to show off the ring on her finger.
Rias: "guess who just got engaged as well!"
All of the girls freaked out and surrounded her whilst Y/n just admired his own ring.
Y/n: "...I bought way too many of those."
Akeno wrapped her arms around him.
Akeno: "when do I get one, Y/n?"
Y/n: "we aren't there yet. But We will be, don't worry about that."
He leaned back and kissed her.
Y/n: "guess I've just gotta plan for the summer now."
