"Oooh I wanna dance with somebody!" You sang into your microphone, or well a spoon. You danced around the living room in your pajamas, knowing that everyone else was on a mission and you had the whole place to yourself.
The music blasted through the kitchen speakers and you sang and danced along with it. You got on the counter and danced on it
"I wanna feel the heat with somebody!
Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody!"
"With somebody who loves me!" Someone else joined in, and you were so startled you almost fell off the counter.
To your surprise you saw Bucky, your crush, standing at the doorway with a huge smile on his face.
"B-Bucky what are you doing here?" you asked him, turning off the music. You got off the counter with your face tomato red as you walked over to him
"Well I was going to get some breakfast, but this is much better" he gave you a smile and you blushed even more.
"I thought you were on the mission? Everyone was going. Well except me obviously" you crossed your arms across your chest in embarrassment
"I thought I was too. Earlier Steve told me it was better for me to stay and rest. I protested but, I guess now I'm having a day off."
"Oh"
"Well um I was just uh.. testing the counter you know to make sure it was.. strong enough" you cringed at how bad that sounded, and he just chuckled. Man you were horrible at making excuses
"So is it strong enough?" He asked, sitting down at the counter
"Oh yeah, super strong. Tony chose a good kitchen counter."
I need to shut up!
He smiled at you and you twisted the corner of your shirt.
"Uh do you want some breakfast? I made some pancakes" you offered him.
"Sure" you both sat down and ate breakfast together, and you thought he had forgotten about the whole dancing thing. But you were wrong
"So, those dance moves were pretty good. we should dance together sometime" he said
"Uh, s-sure yeah, ok" you stuttered, your eyes wide open. Bucky wanted to dance with you?
"Well, we have the whole place to ourselves so.. would you join me for a dance doll?" He got up from his seat and offered you his hand. You hesitantly took it and he pulled you close, making you blush.
"Friday, play my playlist please" he told the AI, and Fly me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra started playing.
"How do you um dance this?" You asked, a little nervous at how close the two of you were. You stood awkwardly and he grabbed your hands and put them around his neck
"First, you need to relax, feel the music. Don't worry about anything and just focus on me" he put his hands around your waist
"I-I Can do that"
He started to move his feet and and you moved yours, trying not to step on his feet so much
"Sorry!"
"It's ok doll, just relax" he smiled at you and after a while you started to move to the rhythm of the music
"Hey I think I got it!" You smiled up at him and he smiled back, his blue eyes studying your (e/c) eyes
"I knew you could do it doll" he brushed a piece of your hair behind your ear
You both stared at each other for a second, before you decided to go ahead and kiss him. You pressed your lips into his and then pulled away
"Sorry I was caught in the moment-" he captured you lips in a gentle but dominant kiss, making you melt. You were glad he had his arms around you.
When he pulled away he smiled at you
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime.. maybe go dancing?" He asked you
"That would be wonderful Buck" you placed your head on his chest and he kissed the top of your head, then you continued dancing, losing track of time on each other's arms.
