Chapter 8
We all put our weapons down.
"Eleven" mike says moving forward making the girl do the same.
Eleven?
They embrace. And I look in shock. It's really her? THE eleven?
They start crying "is that..." max starts getting cut off by Lucas and Dustin nodding
"I never gave up on you" he states. I ignore them for a while just looking at Max. She looks shocked. That's until mike pushes hopper than I'm concentrating. Dustin,lucas ans Eleven hug and talk for a while than max walks up to her "eleven? Hey. Um, I'm max" max holds out a hand for her she looks behind her at me. I stayed back because a) It hurts to walk and b) I didn't want to get in the way of anything
"I've heard a lot about you" max explains. Eleven pushes straight past her and starts walking towards me which makes everyone turn. She pulls me into a tight hug shocking the crap out of me
"Sister..." she mumbles against my ear
"What?" I ask stepping back
"Sister" she says pointing at me. I have probably shat my pants by now because I'm so scared. She grabs my wrist and lifts my sleeve to reveal three small numbers on my wrist '012'. How does she know about that?
"How do you know about that?" I say pulling my hand away
"Sister" she says pointing from me to her
"Were Sister's?"
"Yes"
Everyone stares at us in shock. Making me limp towards the door to go get some fresh air. This is a lot to take in. Max comes out a few minutes later and sits next to me. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Tell you what? That i have a random tattoo on my wrist of three numbers but I don't know what the heck it means?!"
"Y/n calm down"
"You wouldn't be calm if you were going through this!" I yell back, tears running out of my eyes. She wipes them away and looks at me soft in the face. She kisses both my cheeks and than my forehead letting her lips linger for a while. I sigh and melt into her grip around my body. A few minutes later eleven,hopper (carrying will) and Jonathan, walk outside with a few other people following.
We go back inside and I help steve put the dog in the fridge. Once we get it in I walk over to max. They all figure out different plans while I sit on the couch in pain until I hear a car pulling up. "Shit. Max!" I yell looking out the window. Steve goes outside and talks to billy. Steve gets pushed to the ground "Steve!" I yell trying to get out the door but max holds me back. Next thing billy bursts threw the door "Well, well, well. Y/n y/l/n. What a surprise. Nice to see you, you lesbian slut. I thought I told you to stay away from her, Max"
"Billy go away" max says sadly
"You disobeyed me. And you know what happens when you disobey me"
"Billy..."
"I break things" he grunts and turns to me fast grabbing me by my jacket and pushing me into a cabinet
"Y/n!" Max screams
"Get off me you-"
"Since Maxine won't listen to me maybe you will. You stay away from her" he slams me into the cabinet again "you stay away from her! Do you hear me?" He says grabbing my throat
"Get off me" I say weakly kicking him between this legs making him groan
"You are so dead y/n! You're dead!"
Steve pushes him away from me.
"No. You are" He says punching billy making billy laugh
"Looks like you got some fire in you after all, huh? I've been waiting to meet this king Steve everybody's been telling me so much about"
"Get out" steve says seriously.
They start to fight
"Yes! Kick his ass, Steve!"
"Get him!"
"Go Steve!" The boy egg them on. Billy hits Steve with a plate "Steve no!" I cry. Next thing Steve's in the floor getting punched badly. Max runs forward and shoves a needle into Billy's neck.
"The hell is this? You little shit, what did you do?" Billy falls down and starts laughing making max grab a bat and hold it up
"from here on our, you leave me and my friends alone, especially y/n. Do you understand?"
"Screw you"
She brings the bat down between his legs "say you understand! Say it! Say it!" She yells loudly
"I understand" he mumbles
"What?"
"I understand"
"Holy shit red!" I say as she hits a pot hole. "Okay, so you're gonna keep straight for half a mile then make a left on mount Sinai okay?"
"Okay" Max reply's from beside me
The boys argue and Steve panics.
"Everybody shut up! I'm trying to focus!" Max yells making me smirk knowing she has fire
"Max you need to turn left like now" I say making her turn quickly. Hitting a mailbox.
When we get to where mike told us would be the best place to do whatever we're doing we get out of the car and put on masks and things. Steve starts to yell and Dustin talks to him. While I help max. We all go down the hole and start to walk down the tunnels. I walk with max. Struggling to keep up because of my leg. When I finally get at a pace I trip but I'm quick to get back up and continue moving. "Shit!" Dustin screams making us all run to him "help! Help! Help!" He yells over and over
"Dustin what's wrong?!" I yell back
"I'm okay" he says getting up
"All right. I think we're here" I say when we come to a big opening.
We all start to spray and pour things everywhere that would help the fire. We light the fire and run. After a while we hear growling and screaming which makes us pick up pace. After awhile mike gets caught by a root "help, help, help!" Mike yells. Steve hits the root with his bat while I pull mike. Than dart catches up to us "will you let us pass?"
Dart snarls than Dustin feeds him a nougat bar. What the hell?
We're practically all out except Steve and I when all the demo-dogs come running towards us "y/n! Y/n! No!" Max screams from outside but they run past us? They Just keep running.
"Their going to eleven" I say looking up at the others. I steal Steve's bat and go to run down the tunnel but Steve's to quick, he grabs me and boosts me up so the others can drag me out of the tunnel.
"No" I say trying to climb back down "no,no. Stop! She the only family I have! Stop. I need to help! Stop!" I say pushing them away when they try to hold me down
"Y/n stop!" Mike yells at me.
When ive finally calmed down i smile at the girl who runs up to me and pulls me into a hug "why do you have to be so brave stalker. I'm always so scared you're gonna get hurt" she explains slapping my shoulder playfully
"I wouldn't leave you scared red don't worry"
Tonight is the night of the snowball and I'm currently getting ready. It's been one month since we won the battle. I'm wearing a purple dress and my hairs down in waves. I catch a ride with Dustin and Steve who pick me up from outside my house. "Now remember both of you..."
"Pretend like we don't care" Dustin and I say at the same time
"You don't care?"
"We don't care"
"There you do. You're learning my kids. Your learning" he smiles "you guys look great. Now go get them"
Once we get in we walk over to the party. And everyone makes fun of his hair "hey. Dustin looks nice guys. Stop. You looks great brother" I say turning to him and smiling. A slow song starts and I sigh knowing max doesn't want to dance with me so I go sit down and look at the very visible bandage on my leg and the '012' tattoo on my wrist.
"Max...hey. Umm, it's nice right? You want to, um, you know you want to like...you know? Like just you and me?"Lucas nods at Max.
"Are you trying to ask me to dance?"She looks uncomfortable and awkward. I look away. Knowing she'll say yes because she's nice.
"No of course not" he says quickly "unless you want to than yes."
"So smooth" she chuckles "Maybe later Lucas. Sorry. I need to do something first" she says. Lucas smiles sadly and starts talking to the other boys. I look up to see max standing in front of me.
"Max go dance"
"Not unless I'm dancing with you stalker"
"I can't. My leg"
"We'll take it slow"
"I can't Red"
"Yes you can you just don't want to"
"I can't dan-"
"Y/n"
"Fine" I chuckle
Max and I are currently dancing and laughing whenever I trip or make a weird face because of my leg. Max was right when she said it was gonna take a long time to heal, it still looks the same as the day it happened.
"How's your leg going" max smiles up at me as we slow dance.
"It honestly looks the exact same" I laugh making max laugh too. We turn towards the door slightly as eleven walks in. I smile and wave before looking down at max who looks kind of disappointed "she'll warm up to you. She's just shy a-and quiet" i state while intertwining our fingers and swaying our hands side to side
"Every breath you take, every move you make. Every heart you break. Every step you take. I'll be watching yo-" I sing along to the next song that comes on
"Shut up stalker" max says laughing
"Every single day. Every word you say"
"Shut up!" Max laughs harder
"Make me"
"Make you?"
"Yeah. Make me pretty girl. Make me. Oh can't you see? You belong to me. My poor heart aches. With every step you take" I continue to sing
"Shutttt upppp" she whines pushes me lightly
"Every move you make. Every vow you break. Ever smile you fake. Every claim you stake. I'll be watching you. Come on MadMax. Sing alone" I smile at her while I wrap my arms around her waist and her arms go around my neck.
"Since you've gone I been lost without a trace. I dream at night I can only see your fa-" she cuts me off by pulls me down towards her more and kissing me on the lips. Our lips move in time for a few seconds before she pulls away, smiling and blushing. I smile widely before saying "I-I'm gonna stop singing now"
She just laughs before pulling me close again and resting her head on my shoulder. I smile down at the girl in my arms
"Yeah y/n. That's my girl!" I hear steve yell from the doorway making max and I burst out laughing.
I'm glad I moved to Hawkin's
This is the last chapter for season 2. I hope you guys enjoyed these few chapters. I'm writing season 3 chapters ahead of posting times so that their better than one I write and post straight away.
