I sat on a chair outside the farmhouse, just on its wooden platform. The night was a relaxed one for all the trouble that was happening recently. I was smoking the pipe that Whitefield had given me, which made me feel both relaxed and confident just like he said it would. My eyes slowly drifted off, yet as they went I could only think of only one thing
"Raphtalia..."
"Yes (Yn)?"
I jumped out of my chair and slammed myself into the dirt below. I heard Raphtalia giggle before running to my side
"Oh my, are you ok (Yn)?"
"Yeah I'm fine Raphtalia don't worry about it" I say flashing her a calming smile
"Well good because um...there's something you and me need to talk about"
"Oh well, ok then I'm all ears"
Raphtalia dragged me back to the chair and sat opposite me. She looked nervous and a bit tense, so I grabbed her hand and squeezed it a little, flashing her another smile
"It's ok Raphtalia, don't be so nervous. You can tell me anything"
"Anything?"
I nod "anything"
She squirmed and fidgeted before making hand motions and taking clear, deep breaths in an effort to calm herself
"So Mrs Whitefield told me they only had enough water for two more baths, and that Mr Whitefield and herself had been planning a lovely romantic bath for a little while and tonight was the perfect night. So, that means you and me have to go in at the same time" she blushed madly and looked away
My eyes darted around until I took another smoke from my pipe and smiled at her "Well ok then Raphtalia, I'll meet you in a few minutes" she looked back up to me, still blushing
"Y-y-you know, we a-are g-g-going to be n-n-naked r-right??"
"Yeah I know, but I mean we are mature friends so it'll be alright" raphtalia looked down at the floor as if she agreed as I went back inside the house to change. A put up my coat and changed into my magical nightwear. I then took that off and wrapped a towel around myself. I rushed into the bathroom/Jacuzzi room and closed the door behind me
It was more of a sauna than an actual bathroom. While they did take baths in here it was more of a hot tub or jacuzzi. There were places to hang your towels on the right. Which I did so. There was a mist of warm air surrounding the atmosphere as I stepped into the hot tub. It was large and wooden, with comfortable padding on the inside. The water, which was infused with a special potion Mrs Whitefield made, made the water feel even more relaxing; it gave off a sense of youth as if it was restoring life back into you.
Suddenly the door opened, and I heard it click back into place. I stood there for a moment, my head almost submerged from the soothing water. I got up and turned to Raphtalia
"Hey, Raphtalia remember to lock-"
Raphtalia has already turned around to lock the door, without her towel on, giving me a clear view of her bare behind. I turned away and went redder than a smoulderingly hot iron sword. She walked over and arose from the steps and into the hot tub. She didn't anticipate how deep it actually was and tripped and fell into the water. I felt her thrash about as I grabbed her arms to pull her up. In doing so, she thrashed her forearms more. I felt something smack my member hard, and I went red in embarrassment. Even raphtalia stopped moving as I emerged her from the water.
We both sat there awkwardly. Every time one of us looked at the other we quickly looked away in fear. We sat roughly 5 feet apart, yet she still seemed as close as she was before. I still couldn't get my mind off the fact she had hit my penis. It....felt kind of nice to be perfectly honest in a strange way.
"So um....h-how are you feeling (Yn)?"
"Who me? I'm feeling pretty relaxed right now"
"Yeah this water is very nice"
"I think Mrs Whitefield infused the water with a potion of sorts to better make it more relaxing and soothing to both our body and spirit"
"Yeah"
We sat in silence for a few more minutes before raphtalia spoke up
"(Yn)...I'm...very sorry for what I did"
"What're you on about"
"About when I tripped and I accidentally smacked your....your um....your...front tail"
"(Is that what she's calling it?) it's ok Raphtalia, don't beat yourself up over it. I need to apologise anyways"
"For what?"
When you were locking the door I turned my head to remind you to do so as I didn't hear you lock it. You didn't have your towel on and well...I could see your...um..."
"My what?" She said tilting her head
"(Oh goddamn it why does she have to be so cute?!!) I...I'm very sorry but I had seen your...behind..." I went down into the water, with my nose just above the water. I heard raphtalia give a small yelp and curl herself up into a ball
After a few more minutes I cleared up my throat
"I'm...I'm so incredibly sorry Raphtalia...I never meant to do that. I'm serious"
"I-I know you wouldn't do that (Yn), don't worry about that. It's just...it is quite embarrassing"
"I...I can't imagine how it would feel"
"I meant his whole bath"
"Oh...yeah your right about that definitely. This whole thing stumbled harder than you"
I heard her giggle her very sweet giggle, and felt her move a little closer to me. Her hair looked incredible, even after all the travelling, fights and stumbles. It glossed majestically thanks to the water, somehow making her more angelic than ever. I blushed like for the hundredth time tonight at how magnificent she looked.
"(Yn), Why are you so nice to me"
I turned to her confused "What do you mean?"
"You're always so kind to me, and I don't know why. Most humans I've met hate me purely because I'm a Demi-human"
"Well, I think that's a bit of a stupid reason to hate someone. Judge them by character and not by stuff they can't change"
"That's...that's a very nice way to look at things"
"AAnd to be perfectly honest, Demi-humans are usually a lot friendlier and just overall better people than the humans in this world, at least the one's I've met so far."
"You think so?"
"Yeah, and they're a lot usually cuter too..." I say mumbling that last part. Sadly I had forgotten Raphtalia had much better hearing than I ever could have"
"Oh! I...I guess you're talking about that ash girl if you think Demi-humans are friendly and cute.."
"Actually, I was more talking about you Raphtalia"
She blushed like a child when she heard me "y-you t-think I'm cute??"
I looked down at the water and blushed "Yeah...I think you're very cute"
I heard her squeal again and fidget around. We stood there for a few minutes before I felt the water move as Raphtalia inched closer towards me. Soon our shoulders were just in a forearm's reach of each other
"Well, I um...I think you're very cute as well (Yn)"
My eyes went wide as I struggled with my words "t-thank y-you..."
We both sat there like immature teenagers until I felt a pair of eyes on me. I looked to my side to see Raphtalia staring at my face in awe. She Squeaked and turned away
I let out a small laugh "what's wrong Raphtalia?"
"Nothing...it's just that I like your hair...."
"Oh t-thank you. Is there anything else you like about me?"
"I...um......I like your eyes..they're very pretty and warm"
"So like you?"
She giggled nervously "t-thank you"
I flashed her a smile "is there anything out don't like about me?"
"Well...I don't like how you swear a lot. I hate swearing. I also don't like how mean you can be, like killing those bandits. I just...I just hate your overall edginess"
"Well, it's that's the case then I'll stop"
"Wait really??"
"Yeah"
"But why? Changing your character is quite a lot to ask"
"Yeah but if it means your happy then it's worth it"
She made another squealing noise and put her head into my neck. She seemed at ease and well, and looked nothing less than adorable
I gently placed my arm around her upper back. She tensed up for a moment before quickly relaxing again. Her small breaths massaged my skin finely. I truly felt like I was in heaven. No other sensation had ever made me feel the same way this did. This was something special. She was something special. I started to nod off, believing myself to be a dream
It seemed to be a small while later that I was awakened by a small nudge from Raphtalia
"*Groaning* Yeah...what's up Raphtalia..."
"I think we've been in this bath far too long. I mean it's meant to be a romantic night for the Mr and Mrs Whitefield yet we're stealing their precious time"
"I guess your right"
Raphtalia got out of the bath and grabbed herself a towel. I got out myself and grabbed my own towel, careful not to look at Raphtalia again. After she dried I heard her go out of the room to get changed in our double bedroom. After a few minutes, I heard her knock again
"(Yn)! The bedrooms free!"
"Thanks, Raphtalia"
I wrapped my towel around myself and went into our bedroom. I changed into my nightwear and opened up the room to join Raphtalia for a few more moments
That is if I could find my words after seeing her.
Her nightwear was an outfit crafted similarly to her old clothes. She looked absolutely stunning. I stood there, frozen like a moron, gawking at her beauty
She tilted her head and smiled at me "is everything alright there (Yn)? You look like you've just seen an angel"
"I...I-I have"
"Wait what? Where??"
"Look in the mirror"
"What? I don't get-oh my" she blushed and looked away
"You look....you look amazing Raphtalia"
"Th-thank you..."
"It's getting pretty late, should we be off to bed"
She picked up her head and gazed into my eyes "o-ok!"
We went back into our room and I closed the door behind us. Raphtalia took the left side of the bed while I took the right. I switched off the lamp as we both lay there in pure darkness. I felt her squirm and heard her whimper as I tried to get to sleep. I gripped her hand with mine as I looked into her eyes
"Are you ok Raphtalia?"
"No..."
"What's wrong?"
"It's just that um...I usually have nightmares sometimes and....well..."
"What's is it? You can tell me"
"I...I'm kind of...scared of the dark"
"Oh, alright"
"Do you...think less of me?"
"Of course not"
"Why not?"
"Well because it's normal to fear the unknown"
"Yeah, I guess so..."
"Also...I'm also kind of scared of the dark....and...I'm also very scared of girls"
I heard her giggle and stare into my eyes before whispering in my ear
"How about we fix two problems with one stone "
"Huh? What are you-"
Like clockwork, she grabbed my neck and pulled her head into her chest. I blushed and tensed up; I was almost as stiff as a dance teacher. I saw her blush yet I felt her calm down in my arms, relieving the tension in her tired bones and aching muscles
"Hey (Yn)"
"Yeah?"
"T-thank you...for always being there for me"
I smiled and looked down at her "anytime Raphtalia, anytime"
And with that, we both shut our eyes, snuggling into each other's warmth to rest easy for the days to come.

Wow I haven't seen y'all in a while huh. Sorry about all that but I wanted to finish off my story arc for my other book and good news, I think it ended splendidly. Now tie up your bow tie and grab your church shoes little sister because raphtalia chapters are gonna get pumped out faster than these pumped up kicks
