Chapter Fifteen

Don't touch what's mine

Ellie's Pov:

I held onto Sam's hand as she pulled me through a crowd of drunk teenagers.

She had convinced me to go downtown with her to some teen club that was apparently growing popularity. Mathew, Amber, and Avery said they'd meet me so I wouldn't be feeling awkward with Sam's friends.

I bit against my bottom lip as the loud music blasted through the room.

I haven't partied since the night of the car accident. I guess I could have a little fun.

I pulled against Sam's hand, trying to keep up with how fast she was moving but there were so many people bumping and rubbing up against each other; I got separated from her within 30 seconds.

Almost immediately was I stopped by some guy who looked around nineteen. "What's your name?" He slurred, giving a wolfish grin. "I'm gay." I said, not wanting to get groped.

"That's nice. Do you like do...threesomes?" I rolled my eyes and pushed past him, trying to find that girl.

"Sam!" I called, failing to be heard over the music and laughing.

My eyes widened as I felt myself being lifted from the ground by some other guy. "Look, what we've got here!" He yelled, showing me off to the entire world.

He shook me up and down to the beat of the music. "Ain't she cute?" I glared down at him. "I think my foot up your ass would be even cuter." He laughed as he set me down. "Feisty aren't you?"

"Ellie!" I turned away from the guy, hearing my name being called.

Mathew grabbed me by the wrist and basically dragged me out of the crowd over to a clearer area.

"Having fun?" He asked, grabbing my hands and making me do some type of dance with him. "Not really. Seems like there are alot of perverts here." He laughed and pulled me over to the bar counter. "Are you hungry? Thirsty?" He asked me, snapping his fingers and getting the bar dudes attention.

"Vodka. Please." I said with a slight grin.

"Thats all you drink." He said, giving a nod at the bar dude. "I like it, alright?" He shrugged, sitting on the bar stool next to me.

"Where's your girl?' He laughed. "Amber and Avery are having a little dance battle I assume." I laughed as we clinked our glasses together, sipping them.

"Where's Sam?" I looked behind me, spotting her over on some couch with a few friends. "She seems fine." He nodded and tossed a nacho into his mouth.

"Are you planning on getting shit faced?" He asked as I motioned for another glass. "No. I just love the taste of vodka. It's like chocolate." He rolled his eyes and placed his half empty glass on the counter.

"ELLIE!" I smiled as I felt two arms wrap themselves around me. "Hey, Avery." She growled and kissed my neck, plopping down in the seat beside me. "Give me what she has."

Amber ran and sat next to Matthew, panting like she just finished running a marathon. "Water." She said in a tired voice, stuffing one of her boyfriends nachos in her mouth.

I smiled at all three of them, lacing my fingers with Avery's.

"Was the dancing too much?" I asked Amber. She smiled and gulped down her water, slamming the glass on the counter and taking deep breaths. "There was so many guys grinding and..." She trailed off as she noticed Matthew's jealous face. "Babe, it's just dancing." She assured him, stealing another nacho.

"That's how we met though. Dancing at a party." She smiled and kissed his cheek. "Yeah, and I haven't met a guy as good as you. Or has a bigger one." He smiled and wrapped his arm around her.

I raised my brow at Avery who was laughing it up. "We don't need to know about Mathew's junk. Thank you." Amber smiled. "Its special though. He only has one ball." I couldn't help but choke on my drink. "You only have one ball?!" Avery asked, laughing even harder now.

His face turned a bright red as he quieted down, sipping his vodka.

"It's ok, Matty." I said as I patted his shoulder,  trying not to laugh myself.

He shrugged me off, his face turning redder. "Guys leave him alone. He was born that way." Amber said as she ran her fingers through his messy blonde hair. I laughed in spite of myself and gave Avery a look that made her laugh with me.

"Okay. I have one ball...so what?' Mathew said sternly, trying to knock the joke off. "Well, I think it's cute." Amber said as she sipped from her glass. "He even named it lucky."

Avery didn't bother to hold back her laughter.

"Stop embarrassing me! That was our thing!" He yelled at her. Amber smiled and rested her arm on his shoulder.

"Hey, can I have another one?" The bartender nodded and refilled my glass, sliding it over to me.

"Slow down." Avery said,  laughter still in her voice.

I rolled my eyes and chugged half of it down. "I'm alright." I said as I pulled her closer to me.

"Do you want to dance guys?" Amber asked as she finally started to breathe normally. "We just danced!" Amber whined as she drank. "Yeah but it gives me an adrenaline rush so bring your ass!"

We watched as she finished her water, running back off into the crowd of drunk teenagers.

Avery groaned and got up. "You coming, Ell?" I shook my head. "Come onnn." She begged, pulling me up.

"Fine."

I smiled as she turned around to me, moving her arm around my neck. "How are you and Sam?" She asked, slowly grinding against me.

"We're fine. I'm trying to find a way to ask her out I guess." She smiled as I grinded back against her, following her similar rhythm.

"I think you'd look cute together." She said,  turning around. "Me too." I laughed and ran my hand down her side then back up again, stopping at her waist. "Perhaps she's the one?"

"Maybe she is." I said a smile as she turned around to me again. "What do you think about us?" I raised my brow. "Us? Ave, come on." She laughed and wrapped her arms around my neck. "I'm serious. Remember that night at my dad's beach house?" I groaned. "I was drunk and you were too."

She laughed and pushed off of me. "Fine." She grabbed a hold of some guy and started to dance on him.

I rolled my eyes as I started back for the bar counter, wanting to check up on Mathew.

I glanced over at Sam for a second, watching her make out with some girl.

I went and sat next to Mathew.

Wait what..

I turned around, having to take a double take.

Sam was locking lips with some girl, being lifted up against the wall; the girls hands in her pants.

Now, maybe I did over react a little.

I grabbed the bar stool, only to have Mathew snatch it out of my hands. He grabbed me but I shoved him off of me.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" I yelled at her. Sam looked up at me and made a face I couldn't read.

"Ellie," she slurred, laughing then kissing the girl again; pissing me off even more.

I didn't even know how to react to this. I wanted to break the girls neck but at the same time I was shocked.

The girl smiled and let Sam down, Sam falling over but Mathew grabbing her.

She looked me my eyes. "Aw, Ellie. Are you upset that I got to finger your girlfriend?" She laughed and folded her arms.

I felt my blood turn cold at that and I stood frozen in my tracks.

"What? Does your medicine taste bad?"

I continued to stand there, confused as hell. Then I realized it.

She had cut her hair just below her ears and dyed it black but it was Macie.

I grabbed her by the shirt and well.....I didn't know bar counters were that hard.

-------------------------------

"I didn't mean to..." I said for the hundredth time that night as my parents shook their heads at me.

"She was touching all over Sam and.." My mom scoffed and folded her arms. "Do you need to get back on your medication for your anger?"

"Mom! I haven't acted out this bad in months! I don't need a fucking pill."

"That girl is in the hospital with basically a broken face. You don't ram people's faces into bar counters, Ellie!"

My father sighed. "Over...and over...and over..."

I rolled my eyes as it played over and over in my head.

I kind of blacked out I guess you can say after I grabbed her shirt. Apparently I messed up her face pretty badly...

"Is she pressing charges?" Emma asked, finally saying something.

I shrugged my shoulders and brushed my hair from my face.

"How could you blame her?" Drake said with a grin.

We all sighed.

"Just get some sleep." My dad said as he looked at my mom as she sipped from her mug what I assumed was coffee.

I walked into my bedroom, looking at a now sober Sam.

"I know you're pissed. You have every right to be." She said slowly, not looking at me.

"All i remember was talking to her while having drinks....then..." She sighed. "That's all." I nodded and walked over, sitting next to her.

"I didn't mean to, Ellie. I didn't even realize what was happening. Everything was blurry and-" I shhed her by pressing my lips against hers, stroking her cheek with my thumb.

I grinned as a light pink grew on her cheeks.

"I'm going to go for the night, alright?" I said as I started to change into a fresh shirt.

"Why?" I shrugged. "I just have alot of energy still so im going to go see Mathew and try and go back downtown for the night. Probably get drunk all over again."  I half lied.

I just couldn't be around her for awhile I guess. I still had alot of confusion and anger and didn't want to blow up on her.  It was mostly Macie's fault, but knowing she pretty much had sex with her made me a bit delirious.

I did just want to get drunk off my ass to forget it all and maybe tomorrow I'll be able to look at her without feeling my heart squeeze.

Whatever.

Samantha's Pov:

I sighed as I awkwardly sat next to Ellie at the table for breakfast.

She wouldn't even look at me. Could I blame her?

"Did you really break her face?!" Madison asked. Ellie rolled her eyes and played around in her eggs.

"Leave her alone about it." Liam said as he was wolfing down pancakes.

"Oh, come on. You have to admit it sounds pretty rad." Drake said, giving Ellie a smile. "Did you hear the bones crack."

"I'll hear your bones crack if you don't shut up about it." Ellie said, sounding tired but serious.

"Woah, okay. Let me back up." Drake said as he threw his hands in the air, getting her to grin a little.

"Let it go." I heard her dad say with a sigh as he reclined in his recliner, reading the morning paper. "She's not the only one getting annoyed with all you guys' blubbering."

"I am too don't worry." Liam agreed, setting his fork down on his now empty plate.

Drake rolled his eyes and looked over at me. "If I was there i would've did the same thing, Sam." He said with a smile. I smiled back. "You would repeatedly ram a girls face into a bar counter until she passed out....then do it some more?" He shrugged. "I meant if it was a guy....I would protect you from girls too if thats what you want."

Ellie couldn't help but smile and finally look over at me.

"I doubt she'll need you at all." She said to him.

"What makes you so sure?" He said, slightly irritated.

"She has me." She smirked and kissed my hand, making me blush like always.

Madison raised her eyebrow. "What."

"She's my lezzie bear." She said jokingly, wrapping her arms around me. I laughed at Mathew's unsure facial expression.

Madison smiled and stood up. "And now i'm suddenly not hungry." She mumbled, walking into the kitchen.

Drake's face was red and he just stared down at his plate. "Ellie, you're..." She nodded. "I'm so gay I shit rainbows." I shoved her off. "Thanks for ruining the whole rainbow pride thing." She laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "You're welcome."

"Sam...you're...too?" I shrugged as Ellie wrapped her arm around my shoulders. "She's only gay for me." I rolled my eyes.

"Well, it's true." She laughed and kissed my cheek, moving her arm.

"And...You're....together?" He asked, his voice shaky.

Ellie sighed and nodded. "Yeah. Thats why we sleep in the same bed you dingus."

He sighed and kicked the side of the table. "Don't take your anger out on the poor table." Ellie teased him.

Her dad laughed, turning the page of his newspaper. "Atleast I don't have to worry about you and boys." Ellie smiled and looked over at him.

Drake stood up and walked outside, mumbling under his breath and gripping his fists m

"I guess someone is on his man period." I shook my head. "Do you ever let up?" She simply shrugged and looked down at Liam who was smiling cheerfully.

"Ellie is very special." Her mother said as she walked downstairs dressed in her work clothes. Ellie smiled and ran her hand through my hair.

"Why don't you girls take Liam out today?"

Liam's face lit up at that. "Can we go back to the park?!" He yelled.

Ellie groaned but I punched her arm. "Fine." She said with a sigh. "I'm already tanned enough though."

Her mom smiled kissed all three of us on our foreheads before rushing out, her husband behind her.

Liam stared up at us both. "Can I bring the football? And can Nylah come?!"

Ellie smiled. "Yeah and no. Nylah can't go to the park. She'll run off like an idiot." Liam giggled and picked up the cat that was curled up by his chair.

"What if we put her on a leash? I think she deserves a little fresh air. She's probably been a house cat all her life." Ellie looked at me as if I was supposed to answer that. "Well, sure."

Apparently I wasn't supposed to agree because her look turned dirty. "You're walking her." She said as she ran upstairs for her keys.

-------------------------------

That was the most idiotic Idea I have ever heard of.

The cat was scared of every single thing we passed. Even the fucking grass. She'd just lay there, meowing and shaking.

Ellie laughed as I struggled to get her away from the pond. "Yank it hard." She suggested. "I'm not trying to kill her." I sighed and kept tugging at the leash.

Ellie shrugged her shoulders and texted away on her phone.

"Fuck it." I said, walking over towards the pond, Ellie following without looking up.

I sat down next to Nylah, Ellie to my right.

Ellie looked behind us at Liam who was playing football with other kids. "Yeah, this is the life." She said sarcastically. I smiled and laced our fingers.

"Dosent matter as long as you're here." I said to her, watching as she stared into her beautiful reflection. "I just hope I hope i get in to UCLA."

"You applied right?" She nodded, wrapping her arm around me as I laid my head on her shoulder. "Then I'm sure you'll get in. There's no reason you shouldn't; your grades improved tremendously." She laughed. "You sound like a teacher."

"That's what I want to be after college." She looked at me. "Really?"

I smiled. "No."

"I do want to work with children though but not as a teacher. I just really like children." Ellie smiled. "You're really going to be a cook or whatever?" I asked her, laughter in my voice.

"Hell yeah. Chef Ellie." She said, laughing with me. "You suck at cooking." She scoffed. "I'm an amazing cook."

"You almost blew up the house once while heating up pop tarts..."

"It was like 5am and I was tired. I forgot to take the little wrapper off. One fucking time."

I laughed and stared down into the crystal clear water.

"Lets not forget that pasta incident." She rolled her eyes, pulling me closer. "That's why its shit like cooking classes. So you can learn how to not give food poisoning." I smiled as i stared up at her.

"I make kick ass brownies though. Don't lie." I nodded. "Yeah. Brownies are on point atleast...Even though all you did was put the icing on them." She grinned. "I also put them in the oven. You did all the boring stuff like measuring."

"We make a good team atleast."

"Sure thing, Ell."

I raised my head and shifted positions, laying across her lap for more comfort. "Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did."

She laughed and kissed my cheek. "Seriously." I nodded and held both her hands.

"Will you be my...umm..."

I raised my brow.

I knew she had been trying for awhile nkw and I just thought it was cute how she struggled and that I could see her nervous and shy side.

She coughed, clearing her throat.

"Will you be mine?" She asked. "You said I already was." She sighed. "I mean like official...I mean.." She sighed again and closed her eyes.

"You know I'm not good at this."

"Good at what?"

She rolled her eyes and snatched my phone. "Hold on."

After a minute she handed back. "One more thing..."

I watched as she dialed my number. "The hell are you doing?" I asked her.

"Wait." She said as it started to ring.

I looked down at my phone as it buzzed and read. 'Will you be my girlfriend?'

Did I ever say how cheesy this girl was? This one takes the prize.

I hit answer.

She smiled and kissed me. "Is that your way of saying yes?"

I smiled back at her.

"Yes."
