Clementine heads to her next class, She sees Gabe and Mariana at the end of the hallway, Mariana smiles and runs towards the girl "Hi Clem— What happened to your cheek?" Gabe squints, he hovers over her cheek, inspecting it but not touching it. Clementine rolls her eyes, He was probably the 5th person that has asked her this, and It was much preferable if she didn't have to, but she didn't really mind.
"I got punched." Clementine laughs, Mariana's brows furrow "By who??" Gabe grits his teeth, in anger
"Jack Miller, and Martin Johnsons, They also kicked me near my thigh, but I can't really feel it" Gabe sighs, Mariana gasps "That's not good."
Gabe gives a sad smile "Good news is, I heard they got beaten up last night, and they got expelled." Clementine's eyes widened, she knew this school doesn't give two flying shits if someone gets beaten up. Until someone reports them, they'd only get suspended. 7 days at the most, and no one has been expelled. Well, the two people that beat her up proved them wrong. It wasn't the first time Jack Miller and Martin Johnsons beaten up someone
"Also, I heard they're going to jail for assault charges. I don't know how long though" Gabe smiles, clearly satisfied "I hope their parents won't be able to afford bail. Or else i'll be hella mad"
"We both know that you will" Mariana teases, the junior high student then turns to Clementine with a sympathetic look "I knew Javi took care of them. He called be last night, angry. And he was yelling about how someone was going to die and shit, then I heard Kate in the background. It was hilarious" Clementine giggles, refraining from smiling too much because of her injury
"Kate also threatened to bring a bulldozer over" Gabe wheezes "A bulldozer"
"Well," Clementine pulls Gabe and Mariana closer, whispering "My dad, my dad's friend; Kenny, and Javi ambushed them and fought them personally." Gabe laughs
"It'd be funnier if you saw the fight." Clementine snorts, "I have to go now" Clementine laughs, looking at the time "They called me" Gabe and Mariana waved goodbye, before walking away
Clementine goes to her locker and searches for her gym bag. She stumbles onto Pete, the Physical Education teacher "Clementine?" Clementine looks back, her bruise facing away from Pete "Yes?"
"I heard what happened, You can sit out of this one if you need to rest." Clementine smiles, nodding "Thank you" She replies politely, Pete smiles in a friendly matter, before walking away
Clementine thinks to herself, while standing near her locker, her bag in hand. She ponders if she should attend P.E. She decides to sit out on the bench, watching peacefully, or she can do her Spanish homework, since she doesn't have spanish, and Spanish is tomorrow after lunch
Clementine closes her locker and locks it, before walking away. She passes by a few people in a hurry, worried she'll be late (turns out Clementine is one of those early people, and she's nowhere near to late)
Clementine passes by Molly, someone that's a part of the executive board "Oh hey, Clementine Everett. That's you right?" Clementine nods "Yep, That would be me"
Molly doesn't question her bruise, despite her expression saying so "Lilly said she needs to talk to you, about what happened about something" Clementine immediately knows what she is saying, and nods "Oh alright" Molly nods, before walking away into the hall
Clementine walks to Lilly's office and knocks gently. Lilly answers the door, she looked intimidating, with her height but she was gentle with Clementine, for knowing Lee
"Hi Clementine. Yes, Come in" Clementine closes the door behind her, Lilly offers her to sit down in her office. The first thing Clem sees is a picture of a old man, which is her dad, Larry. Because she has met her dad and well, he's not the nicest man on this earth
"So, I heard what happened last night" She sighs, "First of all, A lot of people said they hit first, Is that true?" Clementine nodded. Well, it was her that kicked them as an act of self defense. Since they did grab her first, If they didn't grab her then she would never hit
"And I talked to Lee earlier and they deserved it," Lilly nods "And because of what students said about something about harassment, They're going to prison and also getting expelled. So you don't have to worry about them anymore" Clementine nods "They'll have some disciplinary action before going to jail"
It's reasonable. Jack and Martin are turning 19, and because Clementine is a minor because she just turned 16, and their advances basically make things illegal; They can go to jail for a extended period of time.
Lilly gets a call on her phone, She looks at Clementine and says she has to answer it; It was Jack's parents "You can go back to your next class, I don't think you want to hear this" Lilly laughs, Clementine nods before slowly exiting her office
Clementine could hear incoherent yelling from the phone, she smothers her laugh with a cough. She's still not late. Good
She enters in time, she sighs in relief. She brings her sketchbook and pencil case out, and puts her bag down where everyone has placed their bags.
Louis notices the girl and walks up to her "So you're sitting out?" Clem laughs "I have no choice, If I stretch myself, I might just paralyse my leg" Clementine jokes, Louis gives a cheeky grin
"Want me to skip too?" He winks, Clementine shakes her head "No- You have no reason to"
"You're my reason" He winks, Clementine's cheeks warm up "No. You can't skip because of me" Louis pouts, crossing his arms
"Alright. But you're worth it." Clementine smiles, she sits down on the bench as Pete calls everyone to the floor.
Clementine sits out, trying to figure out her Spanish homework, then out of nowhere Gabe sits down on the bench to tie his shoelace "I can help you with that later, I-if you want." He stutters, Clementine gives a smile to him, while holding her cheek "Thanks Gabe"
Gabe finishes tying his shoelace and goes back. Clementine smiles at the dork, but can feel someone stare at her. She goes back and does her Spanish homework. Then out of nowhere, A familiar red head, Sophie hugs her arm "Hi Clem!" She bats her eyelashes like yesterday, Clementine grimaces
"Why are you sitting out?" Clementine asks out of pure curiosity. Sophie giggles and flips her hair "Remember that I had a flu? I'm still recovering" Clementine slowly nods, she turns to her homework. Sophie gasps, Clementine can tell it was fake
"What happened here?" Clementine laughs "You know you lead me to them, and left me there, right?" She raises a eyebrow. Sophie laughs
"I was going to come back, I swear!" She said, ever so 'innocently' Clementine moves back a little "I know you don't really like me for being friends with Louis"
Sophie laughs, her expression still friendly. She stops laughing, and pulls Clementine's arm towards her "Nice of you to know that you saw that. You're a lot different than I thought." Clementine rolls her eyes, she continued writing
"But," Sophie smiles, patting Clementine's back, it send shivers up her spine "If you touch my boyfriend again, I'll make sure you won't leave with just a bruise. Got it?" Clementine fought the urge to laugh, Sophie's threats weren't even that scary to her. But If she wants her to stay away from Louis, she might have to show some space to satisfy his girlfriend
"Alright, whatever you say" Sophie reverts back to her happy personality "By the way, you look ugly without the bruise anyways."
"Whatever. Your opinion was not needed" Clementine was unbothered by her 'insult' Sophie flips her straight ginger hair, she looks towards the girl, working on her spanish homework
Sophie grimaces, "What does Louis see in you?"

headcanon of the day: i bet clementine, and the ericson kids have this summer event where they wear frilly dresses, drink juices, and have a pool party at the river! it would be brody's idea and violet and clem would hate the dresses, and minnie would pretend to hate it but in reality she thinks it's nice idea. ruby likes the dresses too. everyone finds a beach ball and plays a game in the river.
