With the help of Laurie, I was able to board a flight back to San Francisco and I worried about her job.
"I have saved enough." She jokes and then sighed. "Just take care." And give me a meaningful hug.
"If my parents come here to search for me." I started.
"I for sure will be sending them to you." She smiled. "You deserve to meet them and get to know them."
I smiled thankfully at her. I flew back in hope of a better escape from the weird reality. I have a feeling, my grandma will first search for me there and will be mad at Poor Laurie for helping me.
Carson was waiting for me, anxiously when I exited from the airport.He hugged me and I sighed and relaxed in his arm.
"Are you okay?" He asked, and he looked hundred more times, tired than I am.
"I am." I told him, nodding my head. "How about you? You seem tired too."
"I am exhausted. I was trying to reach you after your sudden text of breaking up."
"I am sorry." I apologized to him.
"I need a good explanation." He said and give me a hug.
"Are you kidding me?" Carson scowled. "she want you to be with Liam and also was trying to hide you from your parents? You know how f^cked up is that?"
"I know it is weird." I said, trying to defend her, but the words was stuck at my throat.
"Skylar told me, that someone did try to come to your apartment looking for you." He said. "Did you know about it?"
"Who is it?" I asked, hopeful.
"I don't know. I have someone investigating about it." He frowned.
"My grandma might even fly here if she learns I am back here and Laurie will lose her job."
"Who is Laurie?" He asked.
"She is my grandma's assistant and butler."
"She knows how screwed up it is."
We were sitting at my dorm again and it feels oddly satisfying to be here, than when I was back home.
"I think you should stay with me, until this issue is resolve."
"I don't know." I said.
"I will be very anxious and nervous, who knows if you are here and I am at home and your grandma send some people to take you back." He pointed out.
"I will be asking the security downstairs, to not allow anyone come up to my room when they ask for me."
"I still don't think it is a good idea." He frowned. "For now, I will be by your side and you are not going out of my sight."
"Aye aye captain." I said.
He give me a hug and kissed the top of my forehead. When Skylar came home, she give me a weird look.
"What?" I asked her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked
"What do you mean?" Carson asked.
"I heard that you are dropping out from the school and moved back."
I was lost with what she is saying, "I was notified by the management of the dorm, that your place will be going empty soon."
"What?" I said, surprised.
"Here is the letter." She said as she moved to the cupboard in the living space and pulled out the envelope. "I was so disappointed,that you left like that."
I read the official letter and I glared as I read each line. "I have to get back to the management." I said and my phone rang. I see my grandma's name on the phone. Irony.
I picked up the phone, "Seem like you reached your destination." She said.
"You did not just interfere in my studies."
"You asked for it."
"You sound ridiculous and all of this is stupid." I said, "You are wasting your money and definitely your time."
"That is for me to think about, you better be home by tomorrow."
"You don't get to choose or tell me what to do." I pointed out.
"Are you sure?" She asked. "With a click of my finger I can stop paying your tuition fees."
"You don't have to worry about that." I said, "I applied for scholarship and I did got a respond for that."
"You know I can simply take your scholarship back?"
"Like how you always did? You think I don't know what you did to mom and dad? You not only took them out of your life, but also did not allow them to make a living. That is how selfish of you."
"Who told you about it?"
"That's true, right?" I said, disappointed. "Did having this much money bring you happiness?"
"You do not get to speak to me like this." She snapped.
"And you do not get to tell me what I should be doing and remember we are in a social media world and things can go wrong if someone post something about this."
"Are you threatening me?" She asked.
"I am not, but you better watch what you are doing and allow me to live the life, that you know I deserve and allow me to meet my parents. You have no rights to keep me away from them."
"Okay, you can meet them." She suddenly said, "under one condition."
"What is it?" I asked, suspicious of her motive.
"You have to move back and meet them here. Under my watch."
I looked at Carson and Skylar and they looked at me worried and curious at the same time.
"I-" I was lost and couldn't make a decision.
"You have until the end of this week, take the offer or leave it because they will never ever find you unless I allow them to." And I know she is not lying. "See you honey." And she hanged up on me.
"What did she say?" Carson asked as I stood still and looked at him. His beautiful face looked distressed and nervous.
"I have a decision to make and I need your help." I said, looking at him straight in the eye.
