Those eyes,
they hold beauty, black-rimmed lies,
those long lashes hold off the blowing sand,
of broken tears and
those colored lids,
reflecting the broken sky.
Those glittering bones
in tearful tones.
The concealed bags,
of things world-weary.
lower thy eyes
conceal your broken wings
create your beautiful lie
in lines of arched perfection
your lips bleed from your lies
they bleed poison
toxic emotion
your mask is hidden
behind time
hiding what is forbidden
to you
smile and lie
it's your poison to spread
through your lies into your head
but when you attack and do not defend
it's your tears that suspend
threaten to shake
to fall
and break down this cracked wall
smoothed by lies
the cracks now manifest
and become this broken white flag
of beaten down surrender
