Lucy POV
As M/n charges though. I see Midnight try to attack... the doll? M/n jumps in front of it, and there's a giant explosion. W-WHAT WAS HE THINKING?! As the dust clears from the explosion, I see M/n standing there, the doll held completely unharmed in his hand. He tosses it to Happy.
You: "Keep it safe, It's been hurt enough."
Midnight: "This makes no sense? Your Body Should Be In Ruin By Now! After An Attack Like That It Should Have Imploded Under Stress!" M/n growls and continues his walk towards Midnight.
You: "I will protect my family. Nobody is getting hurt here. YOU'LL PAY FOR MAKING LUCY CRY!!" But, then, Midnight sends a wave of weird energy towards M/n, it does nothing but bounce off him. M/n takes another couple steps. Then stops, and his eyes go wide... His body, looked as if he was trying to hold back puking, until he keels over and pukes blackened blood, and black lightning shoots out from parts of his body. He screams in agony, and his hair turns pitch black, and he collapses onto the ground, with horrible blackened wounds all over his body.
Midnight: "Ahh, there it is... Now, I think I'll wait for, her, to arrive, I need to pay you back for all the trouble you've caused." M/n strains himself to look up at him. He tries to speak, but just coughs instead. Midnight laughs and extends his towards Natsu, sending him flying. As Erza bursts in, he just laughs.
Erza: "M/N!! What Did You Do To Him?!" Midnight glares at M/n with a wicked smile.
Midnight: "I'll take her from you, just like Zero took her when you both met for the first time." He extends his hand towards her, sending her flying, she hits the wall hard, and screams. Midnight takes a step towards her, only for M/n's hand to grab his ankle. "What is this? You pathetic scum."
Your POV
'Etherion. I'm going to use it.'
'No. You'll Die.'
'I don't care.'
'It Isn't Your Decision. You Know Our Agreement To That Spell, I Won't Let You Use It.'
I watch helplessly, as he shakes my hand off, then steps on it, I hear, and feel my metal bones screeching against each other.
Midnight: "Now watch, as I take her from you."
Erza POV
I stand back up shakily, and wait for him. I only have one shot at this. Once he's in range, I Reequip into my Flight Armor, and strike as fast as possible, only to be sent flying over him.
Your POV
I watch as he walks over to her, then picks her up by her hair. Natsu, no, he's barely even standing over there. She screams as he punches her in the gut. He puts a finger over her lips, then looks to me and smirks.
Midnight: "For every sound you make, M/n will feel as if he is being stabbed through the heart."
'ETHERION!! LET ME USE THE DAMN SPELL!'
'NO! IT WILL KILL YOU!'
'I'VE SURVIVED BEFORE!'
'NO!! USING 100% OF MY POWER IS NOTHING LIKE THESE OTHER SPELLS.'
'WE DON'T HAVE TIME DAMNIT! I NEED TO SAVE HER AND LUCY!!'
'YOUR BODY IS BROKEN M/N!! YOU WILL DIE!!' My... body...
'Fine, then let's do the same spell.'
'No, you will die with the shape you're in right now.'
'No, I'm going to give it to Natsu, he's still standing, his body seems to still be useable, he's just beyond exhausted.' The Dragon stays quiet. 'WE Don't Have All Day DAMNIT MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!'
'Ok. Do it, I'll give you the power.'
Lucy POV
I see an enormous white magical circle form surrounding M/n, then white lightning bolt strikes him. He stands, white glowing eyes and floating hair, only to then extend his hand towards Natsu, there's a giant beam of white energy, and when I look back, M/n is standing there hunched over, although, his hair had a large strand of gray within it.
You: "He, couldn't handle it all. I, had to keep some of it within myself. But, he should still be strong enough to defeat Midnight. Midnight punches Erza again, only to be sent flying by Natsu, who was now surrounded by both orange flames and white lighting, along with white glowing eyes. M/n looks over to me, and smiles, giving me a thumbs up. "We'll have you out of there in no time, Lucy."
Makarov POV
I sense 2 incredible powers heading towards us. Who could these two be? As they open the door, I'm met with the sight of a man maybe in his late 30's (Who was as built as you can be), and a young man in his late teens or early 20's (with electric blue hair and no shirt on).
Rockwell: "Are you the one known as Makarov?" I nod and he waves his hand, gesturing for me to follow him outside.
Makarov: "I cannot leave, I must keep my children safe from Real Nightmare's effects." He stays still for a moment, but then nods, and sits down next to me.
Rockwell: "I think it's time somebody in Fairy Tail knew about M/n's power, and by that, I mean how they work, and what triggers them." I raise a brow and look in his direction.
Makarov: "Continue."
Neptune: "Well, you see." I turn to the younger man. "M/n's Heavenly Dragon magic comes from his Dragon, Etherion, The God of Dragons at the time, you knew this though, correct?" I nod. "Well, I'm sure you've also seen the rings, and how each of them has a spell locked within it, and once he breaks it, he gains access to that spell, but, if he tries to use a spell from a ring that has not been broken, it is almost certain he dies. Although, I'm guessing he's told you this as well." I nod again.
Rockwell: "Well, now here's the part you may not fully know or understand. M/n... Is the most respected Dragon Slayer among them all, and he is thought to be by many of us, as the Captain of The Light Alliance." I almost lose concentration and the protective spell when he says that. T-they were real?! "But, he lost that position long ago, due to his humanity towards your species, even though we were all humans at one point, some of us Original Dragon Slayers... Hate you humans. M/n, on the other hand, was the opposite. He loves humans, even though he no longer was a true human, he always thought of himself as one. And that is why he was cast out, he was different from the rest, Neptune, Frost, and Myself, we were fairly neutral in the conflict, we really saw no reason to hate them, but really didn't care enough to try and help them, or go out of our way to make friends with any."
Makarov: "I see... So you are telling me this because...?"
Neptune: "You must know why Thor and M/n despise each other so much."
Makarov: "I see... Thor, he's the true Lightning Dragon Slayer, Correct?" They both nod.
Neptune: "Thor was furious, that M/n was both more respected, and more powerful than himself, so, long story short. He turned M/n's liking of humans against him and blew up the entire thing, saying M/n preferred humans to his own kind. So, there was a vote, and Thor was able to turn Team Excalibur against M/n, and had him cast out of the Light Alliance. Team Excalibur, is a team of beings very similar to Dragon Slayers, as in they reflect whatever it is they're good at, but they aren't elemental wizards. They each specialize in a certain branch of fighting techniques, such as strength, speed, or sense." I nod, but I have never heard of this Team Excalibur before.
Rockwell: "Now, let's get down to why we really came here now that you know M/n's background with us. M/n has a set of spells, each growing more powerful than the last, but, the final 4 spells... Are all very unique, and extremely powerful. We believe it would be good for you to know what each one did in case he ever uses them with your guild members near."
Neptune: "The first one, Etherion Withdrawl. It allows M/n to take surrounding magical energy and form it into a ball, then he crushes it, and the energy flows through his body, primarily his muscles. This causes his speed, strength, and defensive capabilities to be heightened severely." I nod, knowing that spell. "But directly afterwards his body will collapse due to the strain on his muscles, although rarely would I ever consider the aftereffects life-threatening."
Rockwell: "The next, Etherion Emergence. It's a way of drawing out Etherion's full power, but it isn't perfect. It is simply Etherion giving M/n his energy, but that energy, M/n's body is not used to it. It's a god's power being infused into a mortal's body. Once this spell runs out, toxic, almost blackened energy will spew form his body, and he will collapse. Again though, unless he were to do something rash directly afterwards, I doubt the conditions would be life threatening."
Neptune: "Now... We get to the final 2 heavy hitters... Etherion Eccentrification. It's similar to the prior spell... But far more complicated, advanced, and powerful. In this form M/n purifies Etherion's loaned energy, and makes it capable for his body to fuse with it... But think of it, as an imperfect weld. The bonds will hold for a while compared to his other spells, but the aftereffects are far worse... His body will be twisted and completely charred afterwards, and what makes it truly deadly... Is that the toxic waste of using a god's powers in a mortal body... It releases all at once. Ruining M/n's body for at least a day or two. This spell is one of M/n's last-ditch efforts to prevail in a fight."
Rockwell: "And finally... M/n's Primal state. Only 2 Dragon Slayers are known to be capable of this. M/n, and Acnologia. It allows M/n to tap into all reserves of Etherion's power, and, the ability to shapeshift into a Dragon. But, in order for this spell to even be possible, M/n must be drained of magical energy, and have an undoubted reason and will to continue the fight. You saw an imperfect form of it against Thor and Team Excalibur, when his eye became glowing like the sun. There are no known aftereffects of it from our knowledge, mainly because if M/n ever uses it's full power... Nobody who is within a distance that can see him will survive the pure magical power and strength of even a single attack." Interesting... These spells...
Makarov: "I do have one question. Why is it a mortal was picked to be the suitor of the 'Dragon God' if the God-like powers have such a negative affect on the mortal body?"
Rockwell: "Because Etherion saw something in M/n, and due to how old Etherion was becoming, and how strong Acnologia was becoming... He needed a suitor, and he needed it then and there. M/n wouldn't have been a likely choice, but due to the circumstances, he was chosen."
Your POV
I watch in horror as even with my power boost, Natsu was helpless. And what made matters even worse, now he had disappeared into thin air, and we were losing Lucy. We have no time left. And I have no magical energy left... There's only one spell I know of, that is only possible when I'm completely drained... 'NO M/N! DON'T!' I was about to step in, but a flash of light, and Lucy's voice, then, the clock rings, and everything goes black...
I wake up on the back of Byro's octopus, and smile, as I see Natsu catch Lucy. But I was incredibly confused on what had just happened. Again, that clock, why did it do that to me?
No POV
As the party back at Fairy Tail begins. 4 men gather at the outskirts of town, to say their goodbyes.
You: "I cannot thank you guys enough for all your help."
Rockwell: "No problem, it was fun to get back into the swing of things for a change."
Neptune: "Yea, besides, I did owe you one."
Frost: "Always happy to help my man." They all wave goodbye as they go their separate ways.
Your POV
I arrive at the party... Only to see Dan hugging Erza with his face in her chest.
Erza POV
Before I can hit him away, a burst of white lightning sends him flying. I look back just in time to see M/n pick me up, his eyes glowing white, growling at Dan.
You: "HANDS OFF PAL!!" M-M/n...?
Dan: "What?! How Dare You Try To Take My Erzy Pie Away!"
You: "Take One Step Closer And You're Toast Man!" M/n turns slightly as if to protect me, I couldn't believe I was just letting him hold me like this, why am I not saying anything?
Dan: "Give Her Back!"
You: "NO! She's Mine!" Everybody stops. And I see M/n's face turn bright red. He immediately sets me down, then laughs slightly, scratching the back of his head.
Lucy: "Oooohhhh... M/n and Erza huh?"
Mirajane: "Their babies are gonna be so strong!" M/n instantly begins choking and falls to the ground while everybody laughs.
