Chapter 11
BRIAN’S POV
I come home. It’s 7 o’clock and it was a hard day. I want to see Sam so much… but I find a note that says that he’s at the grocery. I decide to have a shower.
When I come out, the phone rings.
“Yes?”
It’s John.
“Brian! Run! Sam had a car crash!”
I feel the earth crumble beneath my feet.
“What?!?”
“Run! At the grocery!”
I put the phone down. I’m in trance.
“No… no, please no. god, don’t do this to me. Please”
I run there and I see him. He’s lying on the street and there’s a pool of blood on the ground. His blood. Near him, there’s his car. It’s crumpled.
There’s a small crowd. I go there and push them away.
“Let him breathe! Go, go away!”
I gently took his head in my lap.
“Sam… Sam, no!”
“Brian…”
“No, Sam, no, don’t leave me. Don’t leave me alone. Don’t…. please….”
“Ssst, don’t cry love. Ssst….
“Sam…”
“I… I love you. I love you…”
I press my lips on his. He barely returns the kiss.
“No… please don’t go… please….”
“Ssst… it’ll be okay, luv. Go on with life, Brian… please go on…”
I stare shocked at him while life flies away of his body. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder. It’s John. He gently kisses my forehead.
“Come away, Brian.”
I give a shocked look at Sam’s body. He’s gently smiling. His beautiful blue eyes are now lifeless. He’s still warm. His hands are still in mine. I gently place a kiss on his forehead and close his eyes. Tears are streaming on my face.
John gently picks me up. I rest my head on his chest… and suddenly all comes black.
