Chapter 29| That Night

"You know, Katsu, you really suck at this." You snickered, running a hand through your (H/C) locks.
"Fuck off, it's my first time."
"AND STOP WITH THE FUCKING BANANA PEELS! THEY'RE THROWING ME OFF!!" He shouted at you.
The two of you were playing Ario Cart and you were in the lead. Every time you got your hands on a banana peel, you used it and caused the ash blonde's character spinning around.
"I'm using only one hand and you're still losing!" You laughed at the boy's terrible aim as he threw something at you, but completely missed you.
"I FUCKING QUIT!" He hollered as a game over screen popped up.
"Aw come on you Hedgehog, you gotta admit, it was fucking fun."
Bakugou glared at you and went to the kitchen for a drink of water.
"You know Katsuki, it's about that time to get a girlfriend." Mitsuki popped out of nowhere, surprising his son as he spit out his water.
"WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU COME FROM, OLD HAG?!"
"Your grandmother you dumbass brat. Anyways, do you have somebody you're interested in, Ri-Chan?" She wiggled her eyebrows at you.
"Nah, not really. Solo ride until I die, you know?" You laughed with your usual smile.
"What about in the past? I guarantee you have had a boy you like." She popped herself on the couch as you and Bakugou were on the floor.
"Uh..," You scratched your head. "Yeah..."
"Oh my god, who's the lucky guy?! What's their name?" She gasped as Bakugou rolled his eyes.
"I'm not sure what his real name was but he went by the name Charlie. I liked him...but it didn't last long before he went...to a better place."
"Tough childhood, huh? Don't worry, you're a lot fucking tougher that anybody I know." She said before getting up.
"You kids have fun, I'll be in the kitchen for a while." Mitsuki added.

"You have a lot of energy for somebody like you." He grumbled as he was typing something on his phone.
"The hell does that mean?" You looked up from your phone also.
"For somebody to have gone through that much." He muttered, before getting interrupted by a incoming video chat.
" "Shitty Hair,"why am I not surprised?" You rolled your eyes with a smile.
He answered it and accidentally turned the camera on you, who was sitting on his bed in pjs. Which was your usual oversized T-Shirt and shorts.
"Oh my god, K-Kaminari we called at the wrong time. Uh...I'll leave you t-two alone!" Kirishima shuttered as his face went red, Kaminari was in the background with an awkward expression.
"YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG, SHITTY HAIR! AND STOP WITH THE SHITTY FACE OF YOURS DISCOUNT PIKACHU!!" Bakugou shouted at them, his face as red as well.
You tilted your head to the side in confusion, what did they mean? You were about to ask what the hell they meant and then you understood.
Poof, your face was also red.
Oh my fucking god.
"Whew, thank god! Anyways, how you doing bakubro?" Kirishima changed the subject. "You and Akari-Chan was pretty much knocked out at the end."
"Fucking fine of course."
"I'm okay-ish, although I'm probably going to end up with some brain damage when I'm old." You joked, as the two boys laughed.

"You know, Akari-Chan... I think Bakugou really likes you." Kaminari whispered through the phone. He was only doing this because that ash blonde went to the bathroom and handed his phone to you.
"I mean- we're childhood friends, you know?" You replied.
"I know but, have you seen him around Todoroki or poor Midoriya? He either is a ticking time bomb or an asshole around those two, no offense towards him though. Bakugou only laughs or smiles or anything other than a scowl." The lightning quirked boy shook his head in disagreement.
Now that you think of it, its facts.
"Yeah! I think he likes you, in a he-has-a-crush-on-you-way!" Kirishima smiled, totally supporting the two of you together.
"Well...honestly, he's too good for me." You chuckled, playing with a stand of your (H/C) hair.
"What do you mean?" Kaminari asked and looked at Kirishima.
"I mean- just fucking look at him. Confident, tall, strong, charming, hot, heroic, one of best child friend there is, and the list goes on and on.
Then there's me. A total mess. Cutting scars, mentally unstable deep down, a murderer, and all the fucked up stuff." You compared yourself to him.
"The question is...are you better that you were?" Kirishima asked.
"A little...."
"That's progress! Now stop with those negative thoughts! During the our time at the forest lodge, you're going to confess to him got it?" The two of them smile as you went red once again.
"W-WHAT?! I NEVER AGREE TO-"
"The fuck are you yelling for?" Bakugou opened his door to find your face red and shouting.
"NOTHING!" You threw his phone at him as you hid under see the covers.
"Fuck, she's too fucking adorable when she's like that."
He thought to himself shyly.

"M'kay, 'night." You smiled as you turned to your other side on the bed.
"Yeah...."
Your body was tired after that intense battle, so almost immediately, you drifted away to sleep.
—Dream/Flashback: Age 11
"What she did and said wasn't fucking fair! We completed the damn mission, so why the hell did Akari get a beating over it?!" The younger, smaller female with her ends of her golden locks dyed pastel blue shouted.
"Chill out River, it wasn't that bad." You shrugged, as you suddenly winced in pain as a boy around your age cleaned your freshly earned wound.
"Chill out?! You almost got fucking killed!" The girl known as River argued.
"I agree with her, you're lucky you have these bad boys. Or else you would have been dead." The boy with the brown hair and who was bandaging you up motioned to your pair of wings.
Strangely, after a period of time, you started to sprout black feathery wings. They had at least a 10-13 feet wing span when unfolded. Unlike birds, you could make them disappear into thin air. Although it was slightly uncomfortable at first.
"Fair enough. Anyways, where do you guys wanna go? I was thinking of going to that arcade, you guys up?"
"YEAHHH!!!" River shouted with excitement. "Imagine all the energy I could get from one place."
All of you laughed at the younger female.
"Flying carpet?" The boy with hair color that was like Kaminari's and a pair of headphones. River nodded.
"Okay, give me a second." He walked over to the window of the run-down place and opened it. There was a sudden poof of smoke then he was gone.
"Let's go!" A flying carpet slowly rose up from outside the window. He had a shape shifting quirk.
The rest of your squad jumped on the carpet.
"C'mon, take my hand and let's go!" The boy with the fluffy looking ivory colored hair and one crystal earring held his hand out to you.
"Aw, how sweet Dimitri." You chuckled as you took his hand and onto the flying carpet.
You all were up high as you all looked at each other with a smirk. Times like this were your favorite memories of the past.
"LET'S SHOOT!" All of you shouted in unison with real bright smiles. It was a saying that brought joy and...chaos to your squad.
"If we got each other and it's all we had, we'll be fine right?" River suddenly asked you.
Instead of a lone answer, everybody including the shapeshifting boy smiled and laughed.
"We'll be with one and another forever, even when we hit the fucking grave. And that's a promise we made." Dimitri smiled his unmistakable smile.

You woke up to see Bakugou sleeping peacefully on the couch without a scowl. A smile slowly crept up your face.
Maybe I do like him...
