Eroded Cells

You lost the keys to paradise doors,

And the fragrances of flowers,

Like mountains that collapse,

or an ocean deprived of waters,

I'm a bird that caged himself within eroded cells,

and from all the wounds that bring me comfort,

I can no longer leave my only shelter,

my voice is vanished and I can no longer sing,

so how can I leave my only shelter?

Like an innocent man waiting for execution,

I stood gazing at the stars of resolution,

Asking, a light of thousands years before,

and that is the only vision I sight,

I'm living in books of histories,

that were never written,

in paintings that were never drawn,

and in sentences that were never told,

Now that it's time to abandon my cage,

I can't leave,

Like a living man that was buried,

and a dead man that attended his funeral,

My fate, O' what is hidden behind these eroded cells?

Am I destined to stay?

As I always wanted to fly away,

and one day you know I will.
