Flashback
Pain was all she felt when she caught her bestfriend in bed with her boyfriend.
She cried till she couldn't tell if her eyes was still intact with her body.
Alcohol was what made the pain go away. Even if it was for only a while.
Sapphire Grey tilted the glass and allowed the strong liquid to slide its way down her throat and winced as it rewarded her stomach with a burning sensation.
She wanted to forget the sight of what she just walked in on.
How could they do this to me?
She was so devastated she couldn't think straight.
She raised her hand to signal the bartender that she wanted another drink.
"Miss don't you think you've had enough?" The bartender said in concern.
"Don't tell me when I've had enough", she slurred and got up from the counter and stumbled towards the bathroom.
She walked up to the basin and splashed her face with water.
Slowly, she lifted her head and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Her dark hair was tangled and hung untidily down her back. Her face was stained with tears and her clothes looked unkept.
The girl staring back at her was unknown to her. She didn't know where this girl came from. Shame was what she felt. She screamed out loud in frustration and stumbled her way out of the bathroom and out of the bar and into the falling rain drops.
She had no idea where she was going but she kept moving. She walked until her feet ached.
Then she stopped. She took in her surroundings through her blurred eyes.
She was standing in the center of the community park. She walked to the seat and placed her head in her hands and cried.
She cried at the fact that the two people she trusted betrayed her. She cried because she allowed herself to be vulnerable to be treated that way. She cried away her agony.
That was the night she made a vowed she would never allow herself to be hurt again.
With the little courage she had left she got up and walked to her apartment.

Bringggggg! Bringgggg!
The alarm rang waking Sapphire from her beauty sleep.
Groaning, she rolled out of bed and went directly to the bathroom to perform her morning duties.
What to wear?
She mused as she stood in front of her closet.
She took out a white sleeveless blouse and a cream high waist knee length skirt and a pair of black three inches heels to complete her look.
She stood and looked at her appearance in the mirror.
She liked the woman she became. She's no longer the vulnerable girl three years ago in college.
She smiled at her reflection as she put her hair in a ponytail and took up her handbag and rushed out to her car.
She felt brand new walking through the doors of her workplace, Women Galore.
She was the Model Director of the company.
"Good Morning Miss Grey", her assistant Nera greeted her with a smile and her coffee as she stepped into her office.
"Thank goodness, what would I do without you?" Sapphire said with a smile as she took the creamy God sent gift from Nera's hands.
"You have a meeting with the Modeling Agency that provides us with models at noon", Nera said as she walked to her cubicle that was right outside Sapphire's office.
With a sigh she sat and began her work.
She read and answered emails and signed a fountain pile of documents.
She turned on her IPad and plugged in her earphones and lost herself to music.
This was how she got her work done efficiently.
Sapphire was bobbing her head and softly singing along with Ed Sheraan when her door opened.
"Get ready to leave in five", Nera said with a sweet smile.
"You're the best", Sapphire said with a laugh and got her needed documents together.
She double checked her desk to ensure everything was in its place.
Ain't nothing wrong in being a clean freak, right?
With a sigh she stepped out and made her way to this lunch meeting.
She was meeting with two eligible men who owned Altitude a well known modeling agency in New York.
Kane Williams and Dominick Williams were brothers and differed two years in age, Kane being the eldest.
Sapphire was nervous about this meeting as rumor had it that these brothers weren't quiet the negotiators.
Sapphire sighed as she stood outside the restaurant.
Vanity.
The words of the restaurant stood out.
The decor really matched its name.
Sapphire walked up to the reception area and asked for both gentlemen.
"Right this way", the guy said with a smile and led the way.
"Good Day gentlemen, I'm Sapphire Grey the Modeling Direc-", Sapphire started but was cut off coldly by Kane.
"You're three minutes late. Your tardiness may have cost me a couple dollars in business. Don't waste anymore time on introduction just get to your point", he spat venomously.
"Sorry- er I", Sapphire cleared her throat and squirmed in her seat.
Both men looked at her with a stern expression.
They both had blond hair and blue eyes. But Dominick's blue seemed a little milder than his brother's whose eyes could easily be compared to ice.
Under their tailored suit Sapphire knew was a well toned body that could have anyone drooling.
"My company would like to have your best five models to model our latest line", she said regaining her posture.
Both men looked at her without a word as if to say 'Go on'.
"And um- I would like to have them sign a contract to model future designs as well", she continued with her eyes darting from one man to another. Fear was evident in her eyes.
Both men knew how intimidating they could be.
In fact, they enjoyed being intimidating. It gives them a sense of power over their associates.
Leaning forward Dominick stared at the woman in front of him.
Sure he could see how scared she was as her green eyes kept dancing all over the room.
"Let's get right into payments as we won't give out our models for chump change", he said with a smirk.
"Oh right",Sapphire said and pushed the documents towards the two men.
It seemed as if they were satisfied with what they were seeing as Dominick held out his hand for a handshake.
"Pleasure doing business with you", he said with a killer lopsided smile.
Blushing furiously, Sapphire held out her hand and shook both men.
"Thank you very much for your cooperation", she said and got ready to leave.
"Don't worry, I hope you'll be cooperating with us soon", Dominick said with mischievous dancing in his eyes.
Not understanding the statement Sapphire smile politely and scrambled out of the place after wishing both men a good day.
