I opened the door of the lab and saw my dad talking to Banner.

"You know, you should come by Stark towers some time. Top ten floors all RND. You'll love it! It's candy land." Dad grabbed an object from the table. I rolled my eyes. Tony Stark will be Tony Stark. I know exactly what that is.

"Thanks, but the last time I was in New York... I kinda broke Harlem." Banner continued to work on the sceptre. Dad looked over to me. I smiled.

"Hello Daughter." Dad greeted back with a smile.

"Hello father." I grinned. He looked back at Banner.

"I promise a stress free environment. No tension, no surprises." Dad poked Banner with the small electric shock stick.

"Ow!" Banner grunted and placed his hand on his side where dad poked him. Steve just so happened to walk in on that moment. I crossed my arms. Here we go.

"Hey!" He yelled from the door as he walked in with his signature star-spangled suit. Dad looked at Banner closely.

"Nothing?" He asked Banner quietly. Dad really wants to see the green dude. I want to see him too.

"Are you nuts!?" Steve exclaimed with a annoyed looked. Banner just chuckled awkwardly and went back to work.

"Jury's out. You really have a lid on it. What's your secret? Drums? Bag of weed?" Dad asked an awkward Bruce. I sat in a chair and just watched the show.

"Is everything a joke to you?" Steve glared at Dad. I nodded.

"Yep." Steve glanced at me. Dad pointed at Steve.

"Funny things are." Dad answered.

"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny." Steve glanced at Banner. "No offence."

"It's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I could handle pointy objects." Banner reassured the Captain. Dad chuckled as he walked away from Banner.

"Your tip toeing big man, you need to strut." Dad pointed at Banner. I smirked.

"And you need to focus on the problem Mr. Stark." Steve continued.

"You think I'm not? Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables." Dad asked Steve. I thought the same thing. This does seem fishy though. Fury was working on the Tesseract before he even called us in. I didn't even think of looking into his mind for that, but I do know how he lost his eye. I chuckled to myself. I still can't believe that. He doesn't trust anyone because the last time he trusted someone, he lost an eye. That's what he always said, but it was a cat! I think its name Goose the collar said.

"You think Fury's hiding something?" Steve questioned. I turned my attention to Steve.

"He's a spy. Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets. It's bothering me. Banner too." I pointed at Banner. Dad and Steve looked at him. Banner gave me a look. I smirked. He didn't want to be apart of the conversation.

"Uhh... I just wanna finish my work here and-." Banner was cut off.

"Doctor?" Banner looked at each of us and took off his glasses. He sighed.

"A warm light for all man kind. Loki's jab at Fury for the cube." Banner started.

"I heard it." Steve nodded for him to continue.

"Well, I think that was meant for you." Banner pointed at Dad. Dad offered him some of his blueberries. Umm... hello. I'm right here too. Science bros... I knew it. "Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it was still all over the news."

"The Stark Tower? That big ugly-." Dad and I raised our eyebrows and gave him a 'what did you just say' look. Steve looked at us. "-building in NewYork?"

"It's powered by an arc reactor, self sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for what? A year?" Banner look at dad.

"It's just a prototype." Dad looked over to Steve as he swallowed his blueberry. "I'm kinda the only name in clean energy right now. That's what he's getting at."

"So, why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D bring him in on the Tesseract project?" Banner asked Steve. "What are they doing in the energy business anyways?"

"I should probably look into that, after my decryption program finishes breaking into S.H.I.E.L.D's secured files." Dad walked around the table and stood beside Steve. He pulled out Phone. Steve furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and surprise.

"I'm sorry, did you say-." Dad cut him off.

"J.A.R.V.I.S as been running it ever since I hit the bridge. In a few hours, I'll know ever dirty secret S.H.I.E.L.D has ever tried to hide. Blueberry?" Dad offered Steve. Steve shook his head. I raised my hand.

"I do." Dad reached behind him and held the bag out. I reached in and grabbed a couple. I popped one in my mouth.

"Yet you were confused on why they didn't want you around." Steve said as he stood tall in front of dad. He was a bit shorter then Steve... okay maybe more then a bit.

"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence, historically not awesome." Dad said. I might be getting close to figuring out why Loki was captured so easily.

"I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war, if we don't stay focused he will succeed. We have orders... we should follow them." Steve looked at all of us. Dad eat a blueberry.

"Followings not really my style." Steve tilted his head up as he stared at Dad.

"And your all about style aren't you." Steve told him. Oh my god these two!

"Out of everyone in this room, who is A) wearing a spangly outfit and B) not of use." Dad fired back. Steve looked pissed.

"Steve." Banner spoke up. Steve looked at him. "Tell me none of this smells funky to you..."

"Just find the cube." Steve stormed out. He's starting to believe us... but he doesn't want to. I watched as he walked out. My eyes widened slightly. He looks like a dorito! Seriously! His shoulders are so wide and he has such a small waist! How does he fit through the door!? I smiled to myself as I still sat on the table. Banner walked over to the screen across the room. Dad shook his head in disbelief.

"That's the guy my dad never shut up about?" He couldn't believe it. "Wondering if they should have kept him on ice."

"He's not wrong about Loki. He does have a jump on us." Banner said. I nodded. I remember I told Thor I would talk to Loki. I should go before something happens... because I fell like something is. I don't know... I feel more... I can't explain it. I looked over to Dad and Banner and they were to busy talking to see me leave. Never mind! Dad noticed me leave. I read Dad thoughts as I walked out. He asked me where I was going. I smiled. I just told him somewhere.

I walked towards Loki's cell. I could hear voices behind it. It sounds like Nat. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I opened the door. Nat was facing away from Loki. She had her head down. She was tense, like she was crying.

"No... you brought the monster..." Loki sneered at her with a grin. Nat stood up straight and turned.

"So, Banner... that's your play..." Natasha said with no tears and her usual poker face. I smirked.

"What?" Asked Loki. She started to walk towards me.

"Loki plans to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the Lab. I'm on my way. Send Thor as well." Natasha spoke in her ear com. She stopped beside me and turned to face Loki. Loki watched her. "Thank you... for your cooperation. Are you coming?"

"I'll be there soon." I smiled at her. She nodded and walked out without a second glance. I turned to Loki.

"You knew she would figure it out. You wanted her too." I walked towards the chair by the cell. Loki chuckled.

"All in good fun... do you really think I would be so careless of the words I spoke to her? She is trained to listen, to lie, to act. I know a lie when I hear one. I am the God of Lies after all." He smiled mischievously. I smiled at him. His smile lessened as he quickly looked away. I broke through his mental barrier and looked through his mind. I found his memories. I need to find out what he's planning... but I want to know him. Why do I? I don't know. I watched them play out in a span of a minute. He was such a nice boy... until he noticed he wasn't Thor's equal... and never was. I felt saddened about for Loki.

"You are something else Loki." I watched the God sit.

"Darling... there's no one like me." Loki tilted his chin up proudly. I chuckled.

"No there isn't. I mean... you are the only son of Laufey." I shrugged. Loki stood up quickly. He glared. I felt him trying to invade my mind, but I blocked him.

"You know nothing you quim!" He sneered as we walked towards me. He stood a few inches from the glass. I smirked.

"I know who you are Loki Laufeyson. You are a Frost giant... lied to your whole life..." I stood up and walked towards Loki slowly. "Odin found you... took you from Jotunhiem. He gave you your Asgardian appearance."

Loki stared at me, shocked that I really dug that deep into his mind.

I didn't break our eye contact, not wanting him to gain the upper hand.

"You want to be Thor's equal. You hate that Odin favours Thor. You don't treat Odin like he's your father. He isn't and will never be. He treated you terrible, only looking at you as if you were a Frost giant. Then... there's your mother-."

"Don't you dare talk about my mother!" He pointed his finger at me. He thought I was going to insult her.

I made it to the glass.

"She's your mother. She looks beautiful too in your memories. She is a kind lady and cares for you deeply. She loves you so much. She taught you your magic. She treats you as if you are her biological son. Blood or not... you are her son."

"Same with Thor. You treat him like it was his fault Odin took you. You treat him like he was apart of Odin's lie. He's your brother Loki. He loves you and just wants you to go home. It may not be where you were born... but it is where you grew up. Frigga is there. Isn't that the closest place to home? I don't even know where I'm from. You do. I found a new home, with Tony and Pepper. They may not be blood, but they are the closest thing to a damn family I ever had."

There was a small moment of silence. Loki was staring into me eyes with something I couldn't process.

I noticed his eyes, that were once blue, quivered into green. A forest green that I couldn't help but find beautiful.

What the hell am I doing? Why am I acting like this?

"I... you..." Loki sat back down. He let the words sink in. He was in thought, but I didn't intrude.

He just thinks he's a monster. Someone everyone fears, but he isn't.

He sees himself as a monster like one of those Frost giants dudes. Tall, blue, red eyes, cold, dark.

I mean, he is one, but he's not like them. But why do I believe that?

I realized Loki was staring at me.

"You know what I have done... what I am, yet your still here. You didn't run away like the others. You didn't criticize. You didn't scream in fear. You...stayed. You know everything about me. Why didn't you run?" Loki asked with something in his eyes. His eyes more green then I have ever seen them. I couldn't help but stare as I talked.

"You are not a monster Loki. You are not a stolen relic. You are Loki. Maybe not Laufeyson or Odinson... just Loki. Maybe Loki Friggason." I tired to joke, hoping not to anger him. I'm getting somewhere.

Loki smiled kindly at the thought.

I like that smile on him.

But his smile was gone as soon as it appeared. His eyes void of any emotion as he stared at me, clearly not liking the fact that I had control of the current moment.

"You are beneath me. You dare talk as if you know me." He seethed.

I swallowed hard, pursing my lips as I stared at him.

Why am I feeling like this? Why do I want to help him? Why do I want to know him?

He's killed people... but so have I...

And I should know. If I don't know the whole story, his whole story, should I really be quick to judge or assume him?

"You may not be in the right mindset right now, but I know your not always like this. I seen Thor's thoughts about you. He sees you as the boy he grew up with, got in trouble with, played with, got pranked by, the boy who helped him become the man he is today... his brother. Frigga... I can guess she sees you as a son. Her son. I know I don't know you, I don't know what your planning, which is what I should have looked for inside your head but I didn't. I'm going to help you. I'm going to save you."

"I don't need saving mortal... but your friends might." I looked at him in confusion.

He smirked as an explosion went off in the helicarrier.
