Just a couple of headcanons/ideas I have about the Ghost Bird fam to tide you over til I update (which will be soon, I swear.)
• Luke relies on spellcheck a lot, which is why he has some random capitalisation in his messages, unlike the others
• Gabriel has spellcheck turned off and just types as fast as he can because he has stuff he wants to say and he has to get it out quick before anyone else can butt in
• Kota doesn't actually care about grammar and all that when it comes to texting, he just really likes messing with the others
• Silas likes to let people know that English is his second language whenever he messes up, but everyone's just proud of him to being able to pick up on all the slang and memes flying around on the interent despite the obvious confusion he must've faced when he first moved to America
• Owen doesn't hate texting but he doesn't like it much, either. He's muted all of their group chats except for the emergency/work chat, but he had to work hard to make sure the gang only used it for work and not memes.
• Sean thinks everything's hilarious - he really likes somehow ruining memes for the boys by being really cringey, saying things like "you ever pay your bills on time consistently to flex on super unorganised people?"
• Nathan is a super sweet guy but he enjoys being a bit of a dick over texts because he knows he can get away with it
• Victor both loves and hates that he's got the nickname "Drama Queen", because he likes to play up the I'm A Rich Kid™ card but he also hates being seen as an actual Rich Kid Asshole™
• North wanted to mute all of the chats like Owen did, but the rest of the boys whined and moaned so much that he eventually just gave in to make them shut up (he held out for a good couple of weeks though)
• Sang had no idea of how to "text properly" and what the rules are - the boys had to explain to her that there are none and that she's allowed to express herself in any way she wants when she's texting
• Sang fell in love with emojis and whatever types of cute faces she could find on the internet and use when texting, and no one was more happy about that than Luke
• Luke and Gabriel have a chat dedicated specifically to memes - they rate them, they discuss them, they make competitions to see who can use them the best/be the funniest with them
• Kota and Sean have a chat where they talk about the best ways to ruin memes (and texting in general) for the other boys
• Owen and Sean have a chat where they decide if they're going to play Grumpy Grandpa or Weird Uncle or Estranged Cousin or whatever for the next time the boys start having a weird conversation in the group chat (Owen is almost always Disgruntled Dad and Sean loves being Soccer Mom)
• Silas and North have a chat where they talk about how stupid some things are. It doesn't matter what they are, it just matters how stupid they are.
• Victor and Gabriel have a chat where they try to see who can be the pettiest - it's all for fun though.
• Nathan and Luke have a chat made for if Luke thinks Nathan's crossed a line/is going to cross a line when texting. It's the same chat they use for wholesome pictures of animals
• Sang, Luke and Gabriel have a group chat where the boys can explain memes to her. She's a quick learner but she second guesses herself a lot and hates feeling like she's made a mistake, so the Troublesome Two make sure she knows what's going on.
• Sean and Sang have a chat which Sean encourages Sang to use as a way to channel all of her Mom Friend Energy into making cringey responses to memes, and then he whips those responses out at any possible opportunity he gets
• North has an entire folder of memes that he almost never uses. He only downloads stuff to send to Gabriel and Luke so that they can use whatever.
• The boys like to whisper memes and Vines into Silas's ear and ask him to scream them as loud as he can in public areas - one of their favourite times is when they got him to yell "if you wanna be a dog RUFF you know?" in the school cafeteria
• All of them have caused so much trouble within the Academy just by walking through the halls and loudly commentating everything that's happening (bonus points if you can fit any kind of reference in anywhere)
• If Kota hears someone who doesn't know they're an idiot talking to any of the boys, he goes out of his way to be as passive agressive as possible

• Gabriel was once told that if you typed out "lmao" or "lol" instead of "hahaha" then you're dumber than dirt and he's carried that with him to this day - he uses "lmao" almost exclusively because of it, as an eff you to whoever said it
• Luke likes to shout out Vine references in the diner just to see if and who will respond to him
• Kota and Jess like blasting remixes in the living room any time they can (Jess's favourite is the Wallmart Boy remix)
• Sean doesn't like dealing with the Toma team when they come to the hospital because they're constantly trying to get Raven to pull out his foreigner card so he can shout every meme he's learned recently and not get into that much trouble for it (except the hospital know exactly who Raven is and a good amount of them are ready to hit him with stethoscopes and tongue depressors)
• Dr. Phil Roberts lowkey wants to be hip and cool so he tries to ask Owen about pop culture and Owen always wants the ground to open up and swallow him so he can avoid those conversations
• Nathan wants, more than anything, to be able to use the "you're an idiot sandwich" thing in real life, to the point where Uncle feels like he has to keep him out of the kitchen
• Silas, Gabriel and Victor like to plan out the most dramatic scenes they can whenever they're bored in school
("what if those two just like, properly started fighting"
"oooh, and what if their friend tries to jump in and help but they trip on a chair and start a fight with someone else"
"and as they do that someone else confesses their love to that one dude"
"but that one dude already has a boyfriend so it's a love triangle"
"No make it a love square")
• North isn't capable of full bodied hate but there are times when he thinks things like "oof if that person broke their leg right before their birthday at the amusement park? That would be great 👌"
• Corey and Victor like to discuss programming with each other and learn things together, but if they leave their computers or phones alone for more than a second around anyone else? Instantly bombarded with Kermit pictures or TikTok bull - Corey's pretty good at staying level-headed but if you push Victor too far then you are going to get whacked
• Sang and Erica have a chat specifically for Sang to be mothered. Sang doesn't know that that's what the chat is, but Erica works hard to teach Sang what she needs/wants to know, and tries to treat Sang the way a good, real, loving mother would treat her child.
• Jess and Sang have a chat together as well, where Jess tells her all the things that she doesn't feel like telling her mom, the boys, or her friends. Jess tries to do "girly" things with her, like fangirl over Teen Wolf and stuff like that. It's hella cute.
• Kayli and Sang talk to each other once in a blue moon (because Sang is an innocent adorable girl and Kayli is very definitely not) but when they do talk it's mostly Kayli teaching Sang how to do things that none of The 14 would condone. It's a weird relationship and sometimes Kayli makes Sang feel uncomfortable but she means well for the most part.
• Raven once released a music video to YouTube and all it was was him talking shit about people he has problems with - North got an entire verse and the Academy had to take it down, but Brandon has it saved on his phone and Corey has a hard copy of it
• Axel came home super sleep deprived once and bumped into the kitchen counter. The reaction to the pain came later and his mind blurted out "do you feel it now, Mr. Krabs?" (Marc died laughing silently, because he had gone to sleep on the sofa and woke up when Axel let himself in)
