Sitting here, after a spillage of words tumbled out of my mouth and harassed poor Felix's ears, I realised something.

"I think I'm kinky."

A realisation that Felix didn't want to hear about. "Stop telling me this!" He covered his ears, adding, "La, la la la-"

I pulled his hands away. "I have to be!" It made sense! No sane person would be okay with someone like Theo treating them that way. They'd demand respect, not be okay with the disrespectful comments.

"I don't want to know!" He whined.

"But I need to talk to someone about this stuff! I'd listen to your turn ons-"

"Oh my god, Cora!" He groaned, cheeks going red. "Just fuck him already."

I gasped. "Felix! That's nasty."

He looked perplexed. "What... you just..."

"I'm a virgin."

"With a non virgin mind," he muttered under his breath.

"Hey!" I slapped his arm, suddenly feeling embarrassed. Now was the time I needed a really
close female friend to help a sister out but I didn't know anyone close enough to feel comfortable discussing these sort of things with. "I really did give you a little too much information, didn't I?"

"A bit," He awkwardly shrugged a shoulder before rolling his eyes. "Whatever, it's fine, I'm your best friend. I'm not judging you."

"Good..." I frowned. "Is that my phone ringing?"

"No, it's a bird."

I stuck my tongue at him and reached for my phone, rolling on my stomach as I lied sideways on my bed, Felix on the other side of me, his head held up by his hands as his elbows pressed into the mattress.

Yes, I had to tell him everything and well, maybe a bit too much information at that but I was just overwhelmed! So, I invited Felix over mine in the afternoon and basically hurt his poor little innocent ears.

"Why didn't you answer?" He asked, glancing up at me from his phone when he noticed the ringing noise end and instead, be replaced with my silence.

"It's Theo."

"Oh good, have some sex. I'll go-"

"Felix!"

"I'm kidding! This is just as awkward for me as it for you okay?"

I only shook my head, staring at my phone. "I don't know why I didn't answer it."

"Do you know why he could be calling you?"

"To tell me he murdered Daniel and buried him beside Melanie's body?"

"Yeah, actually, that does make sense-" Felix rolled his eyes, again, seeing my stare flick up to him. "Joking, relax. It's just Melanie he's probably murdered-"

"Felix!" A pause. "I was actually considering that too..."

"Yeah... Nah, I'm only kidding." We both shared a suspicious look. "I hope."

I stared back down at my phone, hearing it ding. A message. "He's texted me." I stated the obvious.

"Saying?"

Theo:
When I call you, you answer.

Oh my god! Hot!

"To answer his phone call."

"Well, you probably should do that... if you want," Felix shrugged.

"Okay...I'll just text him first."

Cora:
I was busy

He replied instantly.

Theo:
Then make time for me. You can do that?

Cora:
Yes

theo:
And you will do that?

Cora:
Yes...

Theo:
Good. Answer.

My phone began to ring. My god, maybe I really was a bit too hormonal.

"Hello," I nervously widened my eyes at Felix.

"Busy doing what?" He asked but I grew distracted as I watched Felix get up from my bed. My eyebrows furrowed.

Just what is he doing?

"I'm...." Felix shook his head, doing a waving hand gesture near his face, standing by my door. "Cutting your neck?" I asked out loud, meaning that for Felix.

Hey! That's what the gesture looked like.

"Excuse me?"

My eyes widened even more and I mouthed 'oh my god' to Felix. "Nothing sorry, not you."

"Cutting a neck?" Theo repeated.

"Stop!" I said bit too loudly, watching Felix slowly open my bedroom door. He did the prayer hand gesture, mouthing, 'I gotta go!'

I glared as his ran off, his steps clear and loud as he stomped down the staircase, my front door unlocking.

"Bye to you too!" I yelled out, hearing my front door slam.

Wow.

"Bye? I just called... what the hell is going on?" I could hear Theo's confusion.

"Nothing, Felix was here but he ran off."

"Oh," There was a pause. "Well it's good he left. You're free now."

"Am I?"

"If you aren't, you will be."

"Says who?" I teased. Okay, I don't know where this is all coming from, how we're being so playful if you'll call it that, but I like it.

"Me."

"Hmm... sorry, I am busy-"

"No, you don't have any plans anymore and you won't."

"Is that a command?"

"An order."

"Okay... That's the same thing..." I trailed. Still... I'm turned on. We're primal creatures okay! Cut me some slack, he's hot.

"I'm going to pick you up in an hour."

I went quiet. "What..."

"An hour. I'm taking you out to eat. You think you can handle that?"

"Yes... I can handle a lot of things, Theo." Ha, meow. Oh Moon, I'll never do that again, ew, who am I? Meow? Thanks goodness I didn't say that out loud.

He released a breathy laugh. "We'll see about that."

-

-

I can handle a lot of things? What is WRONG with me! I'm freaking out, half naked on my bed struggling to find something to wear while I'm having a mini anxiety attack.

Okay, that's exaggerated of course but it didn't dismiss the reality of how I nervous I was.

This was a date.

I was going on a date with a man many would say did not deserve it. I know he's not kind and decent for what he done to me but despite that, I still can't help myself.

Im an idiot that's dismissing the respect I deserve but at least I know that I'm an idiot for it.

So that is some redeeming points, right?

Nope.

Okay, I got this! Why the hell should I be freaking out over this?

I know what I'll wear. Black high waisted jeans, playing it safe, paired with ankle boots and a cute white shirt that may reveal a smidgen of cleavage but so be it. There, it looks cute and it's still simple. Although... a skirt... no! This will do.

Grabbing my denim jacket, I fiddled with some perfume before staring at my hair. Yeah, I'll keep it out.

As for makeup, I didn't have much time to impress the many Instagram foreigners piling up in the comment section but I could rush on some quick basics. Foundation, blush, a little bit of bronzer and light eyeshadow, with some mascara coating my lashes, I think I scrubbed up okay.

My body froze up as I heard a car slow down, pulling up into the empty driveway. Uh oh.

He's here.

I must've really stayed immobile for a moment because by the time I blinked into realisation and actually moved my arm, I heard a firm knock on the door.

Here I go... I'm tough. I'm Cora. I'm... I'm the same daring girl that I've always been.

Nodding at my reflection, I grabbed a black bag and made my way downstairs.

A real petty, evilly impressive and revengeful thought crossed my mind.

IMAGINE if I just turned back up the stairs and never answered my door, leaving him out there and basically being a no show to this date.

It would mean I wouldn't have a front door anymore because a certain enraged person would probably break it down.

Still, part of me was so tempted.

No, he and I have to move past those things.

Hand on the doorknob, I swung the door open and immediately met two brown eyes staring down at me. With heeled ankle booties, I was a little taller but still not head to head with his height, obviously.

He looked good. Wearing black jeans, a classic unbuttoned long sleeved shirt, it looked like a light grey colour, with a plain white T- shirt underneath it and brown suede shoes, it was hard to not notice just how attractive he was.

I saw his eyes quickly scan over me but when his stare found mine again, I felt slightly odd about the fact that he didn't pass me a compliment for the way I looked. Instead, "Let's go," Was all he said, turning around and walking towards his parked car.

My eyebrows lowered, frown lines obvious on my forehead as I hesitated. Silently locking my front door, I spun around, noticing him by his car door, glancing back at me over his shoulder.

Dropping my gaze, I quickly headed towards the car. Why do I need a compliment from him, anyways? Pfft. I know I look somewhat decent and presentable but still, it made me question myself for a good moment there.

He started up the engine, my seatbelt clicking in place as I awkwardly stared ahead of me, seeing our shut garage door through his windscreen.

I was the first to break silence. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see."

I nearly rolled my eyes. "Okay... well am I okay with what I'm wearing for where we're going?" I had to ask it, I had to know what he thought about how I looked because he didn't give enough away and it was killing me. Yeah, I'm pathetic, don't judge me!

I felt his stare on me for a brief second. "Yeah, it's fine."

That's it? No, 'you look beautiful!'? Or even a 'you look good considering how you usually look' type of comment? something along those lines to indicate his approval of my appearance? Fine then. I won't compliment him.

Not that I needed his compliment but it would've been nice.

There was another round of silence.

Good lord, I was sitting beside someone whose lap I've sat on, and yet, I still felt awkward!

"Felix didn't cut his neck."

That was my next ice breaking comment.

I glanced at Theo, his eyebrows shooting up. "If he didn't cut his neck then what was all those comments about?"

"He ran away when I was on the phone with you, I just misread the gesture."

"Well I'm glad he did." He replied. "You should answer my phone call straight away though, by the way."

"If I can-"

"Can?" He interrupted. "You will."

"Okay but I can't promise that-" he didn't see the "duh" look on my face as I added, "If you call me at 3am, I'll be asleep and-"

"Then you'll wake up from the sound of your phone ringing and you will answer it."

Why did those demands have to be so attractive?

"Okay, what if I'm at dinner with my family? You just magically expect me to drop everything for you?"

"Yep," He nodded, the car smoothly driving against the road, traffic flowing smoothly.

"That's not quite fair, is it?" I glanced out his car window. His car smelt like him, good, manly and tempting. I love whatever cologne he uses.

"Life isn't-"

"That's such a cliche response." I cut him off. Life isn't fair? Oh please.

"Okay, how about this then," I raised my eyebrows and dropped my head back against the leather car seat, my gaze sliding towards him. "It's not fair for you because I decided that. There, that better?"

"Mediocre."

He scoffed, humoured by my response. "You're in no place to judge. I have good taste."

"Yeah? You have such a good taste in things it's why you're chasing me, huh?" I thought my comeback would've burned him and got him good... despite the self attack.

"Exactly," Yet, instead, it made him agree.

My eyes widened.

He complimented me, in a weird way... but nonetheless, it was a compliment coming from Theo! I am shocked.

He added, "You're a thing, amazing you can accept that." My face dead panned. He chuckled.

I could only watch in amusement. "I'm a thing?"

"Yeah." He confirmed.

"So you're using me?" I asked.

"You probably would love that."

My lips parted, the usual quick words that spill out dry like a empty pool. "That's very offensive, Theo."

"And yet you're not offended?"

My lips pressed shut. "No-"

"Then your point is?"

"That you're mean."

"Mean? That's a mediocre reply."

"Oh, using my words now are we?"

He only smiled in response.

I smiled too before cheekily grinning and turning the  radio up. "Connect your phone," He murmured.

"Woah, I can be DJ?"

"Yeah, don't get too excited."

Too late for that!

He parked, slowly angling his head to me after he switched the engine off. The car ride was back and forth bantering and us listening to music but now, actually being here, in the parking lot of the restaurant made it all so suddenly come crashing back to me.

This was a date.

I suddenly felt nervous.

"Cora?" I blinked and glanced at him. "You ready?"

"Yeah..." I glanced past him. It was an Italian restaurant, nothing too elegant and fancy but definitely a huge upgrade to the usual diner you'd find me in.

"Okay, lets go," He opened his car door and hopped out.

What a gentleman I am to myself SINCE I had to open my own car door.

Nah, I didn't expect him to, that wasn't like Theo. He displayed his care in more subtle ways, I think...

He waited for me to catch up with him.

"Table for two under the name Rorik,"

"Right this way," The waitress nodded, leading us towards a table. "I'll grab a menu for the two of you," And with a Thanks from me and a head nod from Theo, she smiled and walked off.

Sitting in the wooden but cushioned seat, I glanced around the place. "You like it?" Theo asked, my stare dropping back on him.

"Yeah, it's very nice."

"It is. You haven't been here before have you?"

"No," I shook my head while fiddling with the edge of the white table cloth. "I remember wanting to come here though."

"Why didn't you?"

"Parents never took us here..." I trailed.

"Hm," a displeased look crossed his face. "Well, I'm glad they didn't."

I raised my eyebrows at his comment.

"I like being your first and knowing I'm the first one who finally took you here is great."

I was completely taken back. Damn... Hot damn. "Yeah... I'm... a little surprised, if I'm being honest."

"Why?" He tilted his head.

"We're... eating uh... it's a... date?" My cheeks heated up, face feeling warm as I suddenly felt embarrassed under his stare.

His eyebrow shot up. "Are you asking me if this is a date?" I shrugged a shoulder. He shot his eyebrows up in warning. "What's that?"

"Oh, uh... kinda?"

"Yes." He glanced away as the waitress started to approach us. "It is."

"Cool..."

Cool?

Surprisingly that didn't bother him. I heard a humoured snort.

"Here are your menus, I'll bring out same table water for the two of you."

"Thanks," I politely smiled at her. She was professional enough to not let her eyes linger on Theo for too long but I didn't miss the way her eyes mainly jumped back and forth to him. Couldn't fault her for it though. He was attractive.

My eyes scanned over the menu. I felt Theo's eyes on me so I lifted my gaze and low and behold, he was. I raised my eyebrows. "What?"

He half smiled. "You're so invested in that," He nodded, gesturing to the menu in my hand.

"Of course!" I lifted my chin. "It's food and there is SO much to choose from."

"Well, get whatever you like." He glanced around. "Or if you like, I'll order and choose your meal for you."

"Nope!" I shook my head. No way, when it comes to
Food, I decide for myself.

"No?" He questioned.

"Yeah, no one decided my food for me."

He raised his eyebrows and slowly nodded his head. "Interesting."

"And true, I mean it."

"Uh huh," He playfully narrowed his eyes, scanning my face. "You can mean it all you like but we both know if I really wanted to, I'd decide what you eat. You'd love what I choose for you too."

"You sure about that?" I challenged, closing the menu.

"Absolutely." Theo confirmed.

"Then go on, order my food."

"Say please," He darkly smiled. "And I will, but if you don't, I'm not ordering you anything."

I narrowed my eyes. "Actually, I'll just order my own food."

He chuckled, grinning, "No, you will ask me nicely
To order your food."

"No I won't."

"Yes you will-"

"Hello, welcome to our restaurant. Are you both ready to order?" Theo and I both snapped our head up to the young waiter who was standing by our table, notepad in his hand.

"Yes," I immediately said. The waiter, who was at least around nineteen, glanced at me and smiled.

"Great, And what will you be getting?"

"I'm not sure, what do you recommend?" I smiled.

BOO YEAH! I had to hide a laugh knowing that Theo probably would've been slightly taken back by that. He was so sure I'd get him to order for me or that I would instead order for myself, but nope.

I'm smooth.

I felt Theo slid his gaze towards me.

"Oh, well.. personally I recommend the Arancini for entree. It's delicious."

"Great, I'll get that and some garlic bread."

"Perfect, and for you?" As he glanced at Theo, I to looked and met immediate eye contact with him. Theo was staring at me. Slight squint of his eyes, he glanced up at the waiter and corrected his expression.

"That'll be all for entree. For drinks I'll get two glasses of coke."

The waiter nodded and shot me another smile before disappearing.

Theo stared at the spot the waiter was previously standing in, his head slightly angled while his body was still. He slowly raised his gaze, locking immediate eye contact with me.
