"So Mira, Natsu is gonna be clingy tomorrow right?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, he is."

A clingy Natsu huh? How would he be like then? Natsu's usually always clingy, maybe this whole mating season will make him extra clingy. Like..
"Lucy im gonna sleep with you!"
"No you aren't!"
"You never know! There are some nasty guys out there, so I need to stay with you at all time!"
"Natsu... we're in my house.."
"Yeah.. so?"
"No creepy guy is gonna walk in here and try anything, I always lock my door."
"There's a window too y'know!"
"They won't be as strong as you to be able to jump that high."
"Whatever, i'm still gonna sleep with you."

"I've been calling your name for a while now..What had you in such deep thought?"
"A-Ah, nothing nothing!" I gave Mira back my empty glass and stretched my arms back.
"Mh! Ah! I'm a little anxious about what's gonna happen tomorrow.. and for the next few.. days.. weeks..ugh.."
"Yes well, we have a plan, Master and I talked about how dangerous the Fourth Phase was, but we'll talk about that on while they're on phase three. For now, we have to stay low."
"A plan?"
She pressed her finger onto her lips, and mine. She pushed her upper half over the counter and cupped my ear.
"Sh! We needa keep this a secret from the Dragon Slayers! ..I already discussed the whole Mating Season thing with Sabertooth.... so after.. i talked with Yukino, Minerva, and Kinana privately.."
"Eh? Kinana? But isn't she already dating Erik?"
"Yes but remember, he has to mark her. That's the whole point of Mating Season."
"Oh i see!"
"!! We'll talk about this later, Natsu's on his way here!"
"E-Eh?! Oh! Okay!"
Mira hopped off the counter and took my empty cup.
"Hey Luce, can we go home now? I'm pretty beat."
"Ah, Yeah we can go now." I turned to Mira and gave a small wave.
"Bye bye Mira!"
"Bye Lucy!" She winked.

"The sky's really clear tonight.." I said while smiling. It was a nice cool night. I had my long hair down, I was wearing my light, pastel, pink,oversized, sweatshirt, and my black skirt. With a over-the-knees stockings, this time they weren't thigh high!
"Aye! Lucy can I have some fishy when we get home?"
"Yeah sure, I have two left over."
"Woah Really?! I'm so happy!"
"You're always Happy, Happy."
"hm?............oh! AYE! hehe! I got confused.."
I giggled softly and pet the flying cat.
"Hey Lucy.."
"..Yes Natsu?"
"You look nice."
I blushed in surprise from Natsu's sudden compliment. He smiled and chuckled a bit. I smiled back. I really like Natsu.. as more than just friends..
"Thank you Natsu.."
He turned with a small smile on his face, he had his arms up on his head like he usually did.
"Say Natsu, were you aware about this whole mating season thing?"
"Nope, I barely just found out about it."
"Hm.. That's weird, i wonder why Igneel wouldn't say anything about it.."
"Aye, I would've thought he might've said something, especially to a dense perso-"
"SHUT UP HAPPY!"
"This is gonna be a weird month. All these personalities on my Natsu? It's sure as hell gonna be weird."

"Hm? Did you say something Natsu?"
"N-No it's nothing.."
"Oh,okay. Well, I already know i'm not gonna like this, I like Natsu just the way he is, imagine him being a gentleman... you can't.." I laughed at my own joke with Happy, Natsu simply glared and shouted at us.
"Haha! That was a good joke. Anyway, I'm not looking forward to this.. Natsu, when you go back to normal, i'm gonna be the happiest girl in the world!" I threw my arms up and smiled.
"Aye!"
We talked about missions and jewels and other random stuff while walking home. Natsu seemed normal, which made me happy, but i'm actually nervous about this whole thing. I like Natsu like he his, I don't want him to change, if he ever does, I'll Lucy Kick him.
"Ah~ Home sweet home!"
"Hey Lucy, Lemme sleep with you."
"E-Eh?!W-W-Why?!"
"Kukuku" Happy giggled while flying into my room.
"Cause' I liked it when we slept together this morning, It felt nice."
His face went all bright and delighted.
"W-Well.. I suppose.."
Jeez, and this is only the day BEFORE the actual thing! Im gonna die. Ah Jeez, my face is heating up for sure!

What should I wear?! M-Mating season, ITS MATING SEASON. Maybe some linge- NO WAY. T-THIS NATSU WERE TALKING ABOUT, HE'S STILL NORMAL— EITHER WAY HE NEVER REACTS WHENEVER IM NAKED. I-I feel so insecure.. I-I'll just wear a tank top and some short shorts..
"I-Im done.." I said as I hung my head.
"You seem gloomy Luce."
"I-Im okay." I faced up to his bare chest. He was shirtless with only pants on.
"Okay, Well, Hurry up, it's time to sleep!"

He yanked my arm and held me as if we were about to dance, face to face, before he pulled me into his arms and into the bed. It was really warm and comfy, I heard Happy giggle at the edge of my bed.
"Hey Luce, why can't i just mark you now?"
"well uhm, I guess cause that'll just mess up the phases and stuff."
"I guess you're right, but how would it even be able to mess it up?"
"Well... think of it like this, if i married someone without knowing them, then i'd have to know them as we go on"
"How does that connect to this??"
"if you mark me now, then you'd have no idea of what to do during the season. You'd mark me, and during the phases, you wouldn't know how to act. Like an unknown marriage.Let's say you're in phase 2, what would you protect me from? You already marked me so what threat is there? That's what you'd probably think.."
"yeah, you have a point."
"huaah, phewww, im tired, time to go to sleep." I wiped the small tears from my eyes, and slowly drifted to sleep.
Day 1- Clinginess
"Lucy! Lucy! LUCY!"
"ugh..... Happy?"
"..Lucy! Natsu won't let you go! He thinks i'm gonna steal you!"
"Natsu's awake?!"
"YES I AM, AND STOP TRYING TO STEAL LUCY AWAY FROM ME HAPPY!"
"N-Natsu! Happy is your friend! YOUVE KNOWN HIM SINCE YOU WERE A KID!"
"YOU NEVER KNOW!"
I tugged away and pet Happy slowly-
"He's like our kid!"
"Kid? aww~ Lucy-"
"ok now let me go."
"o-oops."
He released his grip and I hopped out of bed and almost managed to run away into my kitchen- before he grabbed my waist and held me tightly.
"Lucy, don't run away.. it scares me.."
"O-Oh, I-im sorry, I didn't realize it did.."
"Well it does, so don't it... without you by my side... I'd be a mad man..." He whispered into my ear.
LIKE YOU ALREADY ARENT!
"B-But can you at least give a little space?!" I shouted, I was so flustered and embarrassed I just wanted some space..
"..i guess.." He moved away... but just an inch. A literal inch,
"i needa get ready so at LEAST give me space in the bathroom!"
"Okay then."
He waited on my bed and stared intensely at the door as I shut it as if it would make some move on me... even though it was door..

"Okay i'm done.."
"Good. Another minute and I would've barged in.."I sighed and walked into the kitchen.
"Whatever, Im gonna make breakfast so sit dow—"
"No."
Jesus! He's so clingy! He usually just waits and whines in a second, but he doesn't even REACT to food!

I made an omelette and gave it to him. I put the plate across the table, TRYING to give him the hint! BUT HE JUST MOVED THE PLATE RIGHT NEXT TO ME!
"Lushi, I don't think you're escaping this anytime soon.."
"Ya think?!"
I managed to eat my food in peace, until i got up and HE got and INSTANTLY grabbed my waist AGAIN.
"Natsu!"
"Let's go to the guild!"
I walked out my house and down the stairs.
"Natsu, at LEAST hold my hand, at LEAST."
"Fine."
PHEWW I managed to do something!
I chilled out from my embarrassment and frustration enough to act like myself again. I sighed and remembered back to when I was always so strict and mean. I kinda lost my temper and started acting my kind and polite. That was my second phase, then I finally morphed the nice and mean and here I am! I'm always trying to be nice, but I know when to let my temper out.
"Lucy we're here!"
"Huh? Oh, I guess we are heh."
He grabbed me again and held me tightly. Here comes my anger. We walked in and everyone was silent. Natsu didn't seem to care about the other people, he just gripped me tightly and calmly made our way to an empty table. He placed me on his lap and then wrapped his arms around me again.
What now? It's so silent..
"N-N-Natsu, may I speak with Lucy for a second?"
"JUVIA!" I squealed, FINALLY!
"No."
"HEY, I GET TO MAKE THE DECISION NOT YOU!"
He glared at me and held my tighter.
"No."
"AGH! NATSU I NEEDA USE THE RESTROOM."
"No you don't, you just went."
"Yeah but we ate after..I... I needa poo."
"Fine." He sighed as I signaled Juvia to go to the bathroom. We walked past other dragon slayers and I instantly ran into the bathroom once he loosened his grip.
"I'll be out in a minute." I walked in an- AH.
"Lucy! Thank god you made it!"
"Levy?"
"Lucy~Chan!"
"Kinana?"
"Wait a minute, why are you all here?"
It was Levy, Erza, Kinana, Mira, Juvia, Lisanna, and Wendy!
(the other girls were there to help the mates)
"We tried escaping the dragon slayers, but they always catch us!"
"I seem to have underestimated the dragon's powers during Mating Season.." Said Erza.
"What are we gonna do?"
"Master said he had a plan but let's not talk to anyone else this month, we can't afford them getting caught in the eye of a dragon."
"Huh? What does that mean?" I asked.
"If the mate talks with anyone else, specifically males in our case, then they become a threat, therefore, the dragon must kill the threat." Explained Mira.
"LUCY HURRY UP." Natsu barged in grabbed, or course, he's the only impatient one.. I hate this.
