Rainy Days

"Thank you! Come again!" the cashier lady greeted as you smile at her and left the store. You were gonna head straight towards your house, but you stopped and look beside you. It was the park.
You went there for a quick ice cream. You ordered your favorite flavor and then walked out of the park. A kid almost bumped into you but she apologized even though she didn't do anything. A polite one.
On your way home, the sky suddenly got dark and a few drops of water drip onto you, making you soaked. The water got harder as you took shelter at the nearest store. You stood in front of a mini market where everyone got out from the place with umbrellas. You didn't bring your umbrella since the weather report said that it will be windy today. Oh... they thought wrong.
You waited and waited as people passed you with umbrellas while you didn't bring enough money to buy a new umbrella. The money was suppose to just be for groceries shopping. You watched as the rain pour harder.
You sighed as you layed your back on the wall. Your shoes were wet from people walking and splashing towards you.
"What are you doing?"
Your eyes widened as you turned your head towards the voice.
"Damn it. You could get cold if you don't wear any jacket," he eyed you as he scanned your clothes. They were only white shirt and black pants with a pair of sneakers. "I didn't plan to bring one," you responded.
Osoro huffed as he looked away. "An umbrella?"
"No, I didn't bring it," you looked down. His eyes slowly darted towards you to see you shuffling with your shoes. You're nervous.
He sighed as he took off his black jacket and slowly walked towards you. You didn't notice as he took his advantage to do it. He wrapped his black jacket around you shoulder. Your eyes darted towards him as he looked away once he was done. You could smell his scent from his jacket.
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it," he responded as his face started to burn. You grabbed the jacket tighter. It was so big as if it was eating you. Yet, it was so warm. Because of the warmth, your face started to heat up from the stupid but sweet action. How could he?
He crossed his arms together as both of you waited for the rain to stopped. Your eyes wandered all around to see a bus stop which was sheltered. Without thinking twice, you grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the bus stop where the bus had came in time. Both of you went inside and sat next to each other.
You let go of the jacket but he held you hand. "Keep it. You can give it back to me by Monday," he said. He was referring his words as something sweet but to you, it must have been the rain that poured onto his jacket and you must washed it. You nodded which he sighed. "Are you mad?"
"Huh? What?"
"Are you mad at me? You've been silence ever since I let you used my jacket," he said.
"What? Of course not! Why should I? There is really no reason for me to be mad at you. I was..." you stopped as he looked at you for your answer.
"I was really thankful."
Both of you stared at each other for a long time. He cuts the connection by nodding and looked away. Why? His face was heating up. You held on to his jacket as the bus stopped and both of you went out. The rain had died down though it still pours a bit.
"This is a weird question, but do you wanna come over? It's cold outside and my house is near here," you said as he nodded.
Both of you walked together as he looked down. You were holding a grocery bag which was full of stuff. Then, his eyes darted towards your hand and remember what he saw that time. His eyes narrowed together through the pain he felt seeing you and Aso holding hands with each other. You were off guard as he grabbed you grocery bag and you let go.
"They look heavy. Your wrist might broke," what a stupid excuse. You couldn't help it but laughed. A tiny laugh wouldn't hurt. Right?
You thought wrong. His face heats up again from your laugh. What a rare thing to see. Besides from the party, he could see you laugh better in a closer range. Which was side to side.
"Oh~ so my wrist could broke? Yeah right," you rolled your eyes and continue to chuckled. His eyes never left your face as he smiled. He achieve it. He made you laugh by his own stupid excuses. He likes it.
You grabbed your keys and let him in. You knew he was someone strong but you should still be aware of a friend like him. He is still a male. A female and a male should never be in one roof together except if they're married right? Especially both of them in one room.
He sat down on your couch as you put the jacket on the jacket rack. You put down your groceries and asked him if he wanted to drink. While waiting for the rain to fully stop, he crossed his arms, eyes closed. His white button up shirt was making him 10 times hotter.
He looked up at the clock and sighed. You came back with tea and biscuits. "Say, why were you there?" you asked him.
"I was meeting a friend. Then I saw you standing in front of a store. Why don't you just bought a new umbrella?" he asked which you laughed nervously.
"I didn't bring enough money."
He nodded and get a biscuit as he munched on it. "This is all I have left."
"It's fine. It still taste delicious," he said as he kept munching. "Did you bake this by yourself?"
You thought about it and nodded anyway. He didn't notice what he was doing until your eyes widened. He smiled. "It's delicious. Bring me these when we met at school. Okay?"
You nodded furiously as you kept staring at him. He was still smiling while eating. Your phone rang as you picked it up and answered it. It was from Luciel. While talking to him through your phone, Osoro took a small glanced at you. Did he change? Did he really forgot about Taeko? Have he moved on? Who were you to him now?
No, the real question is,
Why are you making him feel so alive?
After the rain stopped, you walked him outside as he waved goodbye. He walked off as you stepped inside and grabbed his jacket. You wanted to washed it but you refuse to do it. You hugged the jacket and smell his scent. It was so strong.

"Thank you! Come again, sweetie!" the cashier lady thanked you as you smile and leave. You then went back and gave her a few money. It wasn't much but you still gave it to her. "I know this is not much but... accept my gift for you, ma'am," you gave her a smile as she was so surprised. She happily nodded and thanked you a thousand times. You laughed a little and waved goodbye to her.
Once you stepped out of the store, the rain was pouring hard. This time, you did bring your umbrella even though the weather reports are still wrong.
You opened your umbrella and walked away. Two eyes were watching you leave into the crowded rain. He was holding an umbrella as well.
He watches as you walked away slowly as you disappeared. He smiled and sighed. "You're using an umbrella but why are you still wearing that jacket?" he asked to himself.
"You're one strange person," he continued, "Yet, you're just so interesting."
"Boss! Are you done?" one of the delinquents asked as Osoro nodded. They all walked away as he still stare into the view. You weren't there anymore but that scene he saw lighten his heart. You walking, wearing his jacket on your shoulder while using an umbrella.
He asked himself, which is the sweetest?
You using his jacket even though you brought an umbrella, or you smiling and laughing with him. At least, there is something he could feel happy about than remembering the scene he was that time. He might not hold your hand but seeing you remember him and makes him feels like he exist, it's already enough for him.
He sighed and left the place with the rest of the delinquents.

I wrote this while listening to 'Same' from 'My Secret Romance'. It's a Korean Drama and I laughed so hard watching it but also I felt like I was flying😂.
