Bucky could never forget your laugh. It was literally music to his ears. No matter what he couldn't forget it. Even after Hydra and all the things they did to him it was forever imprinted in his mind. It got him through it and your voice. It was raspy (like Sophia Bush's) and he just loved it. He could never forget you.
"Whatcha thinking about, Buck?" Steve asked sitting next to Bucky on the bench of the quinjet and he's just staring off into space.
"This voice, this girl —her laugh. I just can't get it out of my head," Bucky said looking at Steve.
"Is her voice all raspy like she forever sounds like she has a cold?" Steve asked.
Bucky nodded.
"If I'm correct, you're thinking of your wife, Charlie," Steve said.
"I had a w-wife?" Bucky asked.
Steve nodded and said, "I would've said something sooner but I wanted to see if you remembered her. I can tell you stories after the mission."
Bucky said, "I'd like that."
(Time skip)
You run full speed at Skye and push her out of the second floor window. You jumped out and the bomb explodes. You and Skye end up in the swimming pool down below.
"WHAT THE SHIT?!" Skye yelled looking at you.
"Sorry," You said chuckling.
You both quickly get out the pool and start fighting big bad Hydra agents just as the Avengers are rolling up.
(Time skip)
"Who brings a knife to a gun fight?!" Skye yelled as she shoots a guy with a knife.
You smirked as the agent has a hand around your throat and pinning you down. You pulled out the carbon fiber knife from the waistband of your skirt and the bad guy has a gun pointed to your head. You stabbed him in the gut and he pulls the trigger. It's a misfire. You pushed him off of you and slit his throat.
"I guess you do," Skye said as you got up.
You throw your knife at a figure you spot in the corner of your eye. Bucky catches the blade in between his index metal finger and middle finger that's metal. You and Skye immediately fight him. You don't recognize him at all and he doesn't recognize you.
Skye gets thrown into a bush as you get punched in your already broken ribs. You cried out in pain but you kept fighting your husband. You punched him in the jaw and he loses a tooth. It's not the front two but one next to it on the right bottom. He spits out the blood with the tooth and you do a high kick to his head. He grabbed your leg last second and punches you in your weak spot on your ribs. He pinned you down onto the manicured grass and puts a gun to your head and it's seeming like everyone wants to do that.
"CHARLIE!" Skye yelled and Bucky stops.
He looked down at you and you looked at his icy blue eyes. He puts away his gun.
"Bucky?" You said.
He felt like his whole world is crashing down at what he almost did. His grip loosened on your wrists and he got off of you. He sat on the grass in front of you trying to process it. Skye is pretty confused but she's fighting bad guys.
You sat up holding onto your side. You carefully placed a hand on his cheek and he looked at you with tears in his eyes.
"I d-don't really remember you," He whispered ever so quietly.
"That's okay," you said giving him a smile. "I remember you."
He practically melted hearing your voice and that smile of yours.
"Seriously? He's practically having a picnic!" Sam yelled.
Bucky got up and picked you up bridal style.
"SKYE!!! WHERES COULSON AND THE BACK UP?!" You yelled.
"I DONT KNOW! THE AVENGERS ARE HERE!" Skye yelled running over.
"Who do you work for?" Bucky asked.
"Shield," You said.
"Guys, there's at least two SHIELD agents here," Bucky said into his comm.
"Shield is dead!"
"We're rebuilding it," You said looking at Bucky.
"It's a long process," Skye said.
(Time skip)
Bucky has you in his lap as Skye is in the cockpit trying to get ahold of Coulson with Clint. He also has his head down on your shoulder and your arms are wrapped around him.
"This reminds me of when you got mad at Steve for trying to enlist and only way to calm you down was if I held your head," you whispered softly twirling a strand of his dark chestnut locks in your fingers.
He smiled believing it.
"I wasn't that bad," Steve mumbled walking past going to the cockpit.
"You were terrible," Bucky said looking up at him. "You never listened, Stephen."
You bursted out laughing and Steve comes back.
"I did. I just didn't follow your advice," Steve sassed.
Bucky glared at him.
(Time skip)
Shield ended up being closer and the quinjet needs gas. Bucky carried you out and Simmons is waiting for you with a gurney and another medical agent. Bucky carefully placed you down on it and followed Simmons as she took you away.
"If you need medical attention, follow me," Simmons said as she walked away.
"Avengers," Coulson said with a smirk on his face at all the shocked faces and he's walking over.
"You son of a bitch," Clint said.
"She should be okay," Simmons said to Bucky.
"Ummm, I uh lost a tooth. I— I- Uh don't know if you can- Uh do anything," Bucky said scratching the back of his head nervously.
"Can I see?" Simmons asked politely.
He moved his bottom lip down with his metal finger and showing that he is indeed missing a tooth. Sam bursted out laughing with Steve. Bucky rolled his eyes as Simmons inspected it.
"You'll probably wanna see a dentist about it," Simmons said.
Bucky nodded and went into the room that you're in.
(Time skip)
You and Bucky ended up being roommates in your room. Bucky has his head on your shoulder and he's tucked under your left arm with his metal draped over your bandaged ribs. It took you forever to get him to do it. His arm is acting as an ice pack which is easing some of the pain too. You are wearing a sports bra and teal shorts. He's wearing a black joggers and you got him to go shirtless knowing he hates wearing shirts in bed and he's very thankful that you do.
"Tell me more about you and I," Bucky said.
"Okay. You'd always take me out dancing. You actually taught me how to. You said, 'don't look at your feet, Doll. My eyes are up here,'" you said smiling. "And I said —still looking down at my feet, 'I know.' You had to move my chin up so I'd look at you and you said, 'my god, Charlie girl, I could get lost in your eyes.'"
"And I knew I was gonna marry you," Bucky said looking up at you.
You blushed slightly and he grinned. He hovered above you.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked softly.
You nodded and Bucky ever so delicately pressed his lips against yours. It was a slow longing for kiss and that's what you both needed. It brought back old memories especially for Bucky.
Flashback
You and Bucky ran through the rain with his jacket being the only cover for the two of you in the night. He just had to make sure you get back to your apartment okay. You're worried that he's gonna get a cold out here.
Bucky stopped and you held his hand so you're yanked back. He luckily catches you and he twirls you around to face him. You look up at him and he looked at you.
"Charlotte, I love you so much," Bucky said using one hand to hold up the jacket above both of you and another is on your cheek.
"I love you too, James," you said grinning widely.
You immediately wrapped your arms around his neck and stood up on your tippy toes. You pressed your lips against his and he happily kissed you back.

You ended up falling asleep on top of your Bucky and he has his arms wrapped around you. He's also asleep and having an amazing dream for once.
