After finishing the stage rehearsal with your members, you headed towards Inkigayo's cafeteria to get some lunch.
You grabbed a tray and waited in line behind the other idols as usual, but this time, when you finally reached the end, the female staff member passed you a neatly wrapped up sandwich.
"Oh sorry, I actually ordered the chicken salad." You explained as you tried to give it back to her.
She just shook her head, "A boy told me to give this to you instead."
You stared at her confused, but from the bored look she sent back to you, you decided to just take the sandwich and sit down. Once seated with your group, you curiously unwrapped the food and pulled out a small slip of paper from underneath.
The only thing written on it was a phone number, and you couldn't help but smile as you realised what this person's intentions were.
Now usually, you would think that this way of communication was ridiculously stupid, but in the idol world, it was one of the only options if they weren't in the same company as you.
You had observed your members receiving phone numbers and flirty messages at Inkigayo before, but it was the first time that anyone had given one to you, so you were rather flattered by the simple gesture.
Later that evening, when you were back at your dorm, you laid on your bed holding your phone in one hand and the piece of paper in the other.
After taking a deep breath, you slowly began typing their number in. You decided to keep the conversation casual to begin with, not wanting to seem too desperate...

All your excitement had disappeared as soon as he asked if you were Soyeon. It meant that getting the sandwich was just a mistake. The lady in the cafeteria must have gotten confused and given it you by accident.
That's why you couldn't tell him who you were; it would be too embarrassing.
Especially since he's from JYP — he's probably never even heard of your group before, let alone know who the individuals members were, so there was no point telling him anyway.
Besides, after today he would probably never even text you again, since you weren't the girl he was looking for...

And you did feel guilty for being so secretive, but you were just scared of getting too attached to him and didn't want to regret it later.

For the next few days, the two of you continued to constantly text each other; whether it was song recommendations, variety show clips or just funny memes.
You seemed to get on very well, and you realised that he wasn't the flirty, obnoxious idol that you originally thought he was.
Thursday came around quickly as you found yourself entering the Mnet building, going through the same repetitive rehearsal and sound check process before the show began.
In the waiting room, you curiously watched the live TV screen as Stray Kids were performing their new song Miroh.
You couldn't help but stare in awe every time Jisung was shown, especially during his rap part. But then you grew slightly embarrassed at the idea that he could have easily watched your own performance too. What if he thought your rapping or dancing was bad? What if he took a closer look and thought you were ugly?
However, you were quickly taken away from your thoughts when your members told you that it was to time for the final stage.
As you joined the crowd of idols at the back, the MCs continued speaking. "Today's winner is... Stray Kids! Congratulations!" Daehwi announced and you automatically began clapping loudly for them.
After their speech was finished and the song started playing, the other idols began to leave the stage. As you headed for the stairs as well, you passed by Jisung who quickly bowed and gave you a large grin. Meanwhile, you took this opportunity to congratulate him on winning, since it was probably going to be the only time that you could speak to him.
Then within seconds, your small interaction was already over and you were off stage, heading back towards your dressing room. You were just about to enter the door, but stopped as you heard the sound of someone running up behind you.
You curiously turned around to find Jisung stopping right in front of you, panting as he tried to catch his breath.
Your eyes immediately widened, "Shouldn't you be doing your encore stage?"
"Yeah, but I needed to ask you something before you left." He said whilst looking around nervously, probably hoping that his manager didn't see him. "Will you go out with me? T-to like a coffee shop or to watch a movie or something like that?" He asked quickly.
You were definitely flustered by his direct question, blood rushing to your cheeks. "Uh sure, I'd like that... but you could have just asked me over text..." you mumbled shyly, knowing that all of your members were listening in from inside the room.
"Well I thought it would be better to ask in person, since you were so skeptical of me initially." He said half-jokingly.
"Yeah sorry about that..." you told him embarrassed.
"Don't worry about it, I understand. Now I've really got to go back, but I promise I'll text you later!" He said before he dashed off again to the stage.
Meanwhile, you just stared after him in shock, as a large smile grew on your face.
Han Jisung, thanks for the sandwich...

Ok but we all know that Jisung would be way too busy crying during their 1st win instead... lol jk I'm so proud of SKZ and 3RACHA - they really deserved it! 👌🏼😄
And wow... it's been a whole month since I last updated... sorry for the wait guys! I still won't be able to post that much for the next couple months due to school, which is so sad since I have so many ideas for this book, but I just don't have the time to write! 😭
But anyways, I hope you guys can wait a bit longer and still save this book in your library for when I come back! ❤️
