lilith prayed that she'd have one normal day when she woke up in bed, still in her old room in the academy
she does her morning routine, being an owner of fashion industry also requires the best out of your face, but she couldn't care less about people's opinions
she takes a shower and wears something that had no effort whatsoever, just a simple pink cashmere sweater, blue jeans and no shoes, she was in no mood to go outside and hoop earrings
yes it was a lazy day, but it was her lazy day. and no one was to ruin it
lilith walks into the kitchen and is greeted with the sight of her mother, handing her tea and french toast "good morning my dear"
"morning mom" she smiles giving her mother a quick kiss on the cheek before sitting next to allison
she notices that allison and luther were glancing at each other nervously and lilith raises an eyebrow "if you two are sluething please spill the tea" she says, sipping in her tea
"mom? we need to ask you some questions about the night that died dad" lilith chokes on the tea and glares at luther before shaking her head, but luther avoids her gaze "do you remember anything?"
"of course." mom says, fully turned around with a smile on her face
"sunset, seven thirty-three p.m. moon was waxing crescent, dinner was cornish hen, wild rice, and carrots."
"no. no, uh...later that night." luther said. lilith eyed luther carefully, not breaking her gaze from him any time soon
"in his bedroom. did you go and see him?" lilith squints her eyes, not liking where this was going
mom lets out a chuckle "i don't recall" she says, before turning around to continue cooking breakfast
lilith shakes her head "luther, it's pretty early. please just stop" she says, giving luther a look who gives her a glare in return
from the corner of her eye, lilith sees luther and allison nod at each other and having their silent conversation before allison asks mom a question
"were you ever...i don't know, angry with dad?" lilith raises an eyebrow at allison as she watches mom serve the two with their breakfast. lilith was slowly catching onto their plan, and she didn't like it one bit
"your father was a good man." mom replied, turning to face them with a smile
"a kind man. he was very good to me." lilith knew that everything their mom did was programmed, even her smiles
but even her programmed smile couldn't hide the fact that it was all a lie
"yes, but after we all left, it must have been difficult." allison stated
"oh, there were days." mother chuckles as she recounts all the memories
"you kids kept me oh so busy, and then..."mom stopped suddenly, a frown appearing on her face. she looked at us sadly
lilith narrows her eyes, but it was of concern and worry "mom?" she asks, putting down the tea
"what?" luther leans forward from his seat, seemingly interested on what mom was to say
mom turns around and gives us another grin "mom, what were you going to say?" allison asked
mom chuckles "eggs are ready!" mom quickly turns around quickly
she happily turns to face us again, two plates in her hands as she places them in front of luther and allison
"breakfast is the most important meal of the day. now eat up. all three of you."

"i can't believe that you'd actually think that mom would do something like that!" lilith yells as she storms in the living room while luther and allison chase after her
lilith clumsily puts on one sneaker and hops on one foot as she tries to find her other shoe "lilith, you don't understand" luther insists
allison nods her head "please, let us explain!" lilith turns to them, a hand on her hip "alright then explain," she crosses her arms as she starts circling the two "explain how you could even think that mom would kill him? she's our mother she'd never do that!"
"she's just a machine" luther states
lilith clenches her fist and next thing she knew she had back handed luther, apparently it was strong enough for him to stagger back from shock "just a machine?" she whispers
luther had no right
no right to defend a monster and blame the angel, the only person who could give them any sort of love when they were younger
the one who had stood outside the gate when she had free time to greet five in hopes that he'd return, because she hoped he'd be back
the one who had helped diego through his stutter and made him feel unafraid, because she believed in him
the one who knew that klaus wore her dresses and makeup, and even bought him his own wardrobe and makeup set on his birthday, because she accepted him
the one who'd never force ben to do things he didn't want to, because she thought he was brave for admitting he was afraid
the one who tried her best to let allison have a normal teenage life, to talk about boys, gossip and experience love and heartbreak, because she knew that allison deserved better
the one who never missed a moment to let vanya know she was loved and that she was special, the only one to sit through vanya's performance and not get bored or doze off, because she believed she was extraordinary
the one who refused to leave lilith's bedside after every traumatic training session with her father, during ben's funeral she had never left lilith's side, because she didn't want lilith to feel alone
the one who could actually love luther, no matter how annoying and aggravating he could be, because she loved him
she loved all of them
so how could he?
"just a fucking machine?!" lilith yells out, for a brief moment allison sees the devil flash before her eyes and gasps, seeing that lilith's light brown eyes had momentarily shifted to the color red
she shoved luther forcefully and glares at him "that machine is our mother! she is the only one in this fucking world that could ever love someone like you!" lilith shouts, allison only watches the scene unravel before her, not ever attempting to stop lilith
"you fucking monster!" lilith roars, she was very angry at this moment, but she could've sworn she heard another voice overlap hers
the three siblings stand in the room in silence, allison and luther still eyeing lilith carefully, catiously observing her movements
lilith rubs the side of her forehead, feeling a migraine slowly act up "ugh, i'm going for a walk" she says, bumping luther on the way out and slamming the door behind her
so much for a lazy day

"who the hell does he think he is?" she mutters to herself as she kicks a pebble from the side of the street
you seemed angry earlier
"angry doesn't even begin to describe how much i hate him right now!" lilith says with her arms crossed, both from frustration and how remarkably cold it was today
we could always-
"don't even think about it, i've stopped when i turned sixteen, i am never letting you out, ever again" lilith states as she continues to walk through the streets. she takes a right and lands in an alley way next to the academy, she pulls out her pills but stops when she sees klaus dumpster diving
"dammit!" lilith furrows her eyebrows in confusion as klaus digs through the trash, thrashing around and throwing garbage bags left and right
"where is it?!" klaus exclaims
"klaus?" she calls out, klaus doesn't look at her though, he looks over at the empty space near him and growls "i thought i told you to shut up!"
lilith scoffs "gee sorry"
klaus turns his attention to lilith and then his worried expression was replaced with a happy one "little sister! and as they say it in french....uh, petite sister?" he asks, his french not the most on point thinh today
but it made lilith laugh for the first time this morning, she shakes her head, a grin on her face "what in the seven circles of hell are you doing?" she asks questioningly
klaus briefly glances at the space next to him before looking back at lilith "dumpster diving! haven't you heard? it's the new craze lily bear, you're an international trendsetter you should know this!"
lilith shakes her head "no i didn't know," she gives him an evil grin "care to give me a demonstration?"
klaus blinks and again he scowls and turns to look at the space next to him "no you're supposed to be on my side!"
"who's not supposed to be on your side?" likith asks, klaus froze on the spot before looking down "oh what's that?" he asks
klaus reluctantly takes a deep breath in before diving in head first into the dumpster. he returns with a burger in hand and chuckles as lilith grimaces
"heh yum!" "you aren't actually gonna- ah shit you did it, you did it"
lilith cringes, watching klaus take a bite from the burger looked to disgusting to be true "no! i actually cannot look at you right now" she says turning around swiftly and returned to her walk
"love you!"
"not until you take a bath and brush your teeth!"
