"Momma!"
A middle aged woman turned around, gazing down at the small child hugging her leg.
She chuckled lightly, placing a hand on the little girl's head. "What is it, sweets?"
"I wan to fly!" The little girl babbled, stretching her arms out.
The woman chuckled, fixing up her loose (h/c) hair. "(Y/N) sweetie, you know mommy's floppy arms can't make you fly."
"Whas foppy?" She asked, her eyes shining bright with confusion.
The little girl's mother pretended to be in thought for a while, before trying to explain it to her daughter in the most simplest way possible. "Sweetie, you know what a noodle is right?"
"Noo.. de?"
"Noodle, (Y/N). The wiggly, soft food you like to eat?"
"Umm..."
"The yellow worms dear."
The little girl jumped up in excitement. "Oh! Oh! I remember!"
The woman smiled, crouching down. "You remember how soft and wiggly they are?"
The small (h/c) girl nodded enthusiastically. "Yes!"
"Well that's what floppy means!"
(Y/N) stared at her mother with wide eyes, before her gaze travelled down to her mother's arms. She patted it a few times and pressed on it, her actions making her mother smile in amusement.
"Momma's lying! Momma's arm hard, not foppy like doonels!"
"No, they are floppy. Look!" The woman began wiggling her arms around, making her daughter break out in laughter. When she stopped, (Y/N) kept laughing for a little longer before her face turned into a serious baby expression.
"I still wan to fly momma."
The woman raised a brow. "Mommy's lazy."
(Y/N) placed her hands on her mother's face. "I wanna fly."
At around the same time, the door creaked open followed by a warm, soothing voice. "I'm home~!"
The woman flipped her daughter around. "Look sweetie, there's your daddy! Ask him to make you fly!"
(Y/N) dashed from her mother to her father, immediately hugging his legs. "Dadda I wan to fly!!"
The woman grinned, staring at the man that had just come back home. "(F/N), listen to that. Your daughter wants you to make her fly."
(F/N) picked up his little girl and cuddled her in his arms. "Really (M/N)? I come back home from work and this is how you treat me?"
(Y/N) softly slapped her father's face with her hands. "I wanna fly dadda, not cuddle."
The dark haired man sighed and began swinging his daughter around in the air, her squeals of happiness ringing through the air.
He glanced at his wife, still crouching on the floor. "You owe me one, love."
The woman smiled sweetly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and standing up. "I'll make you (favorite/food) tonight honey."
I opened my eyes abruptly, regretting it as morning light nearly blinded me. I brought a hand to my face, covering my eyes.
The sides of my face felt damp, and it didn't take me long to realize I had been crying. O slowly sat up, noticing that the room was empty.
A dream... about my parents? A.. happy memory?
It's often that I would dream about my past, but it has always nightmares about that dreadful night. Never before had I dreamt of a happy memory about them.
I clenched my jaw, sinking my head onto my knees. An aching feeling stabbed through me as I thought of the fact that they were no longer here. How I'd never hear my mom's soft voice, or feel my father's chest rumble as he spoke a soothing voice.
Even Ms. Falida, the person I considered as my second mother, was no longer here as well.
There was a knock on the door before it was opened, and a brunette stepped inside. "(Y/N)? You awake?"
I sniffed and wiped my tears away. "Yeah."
Eren was quick to realize something was wrong and immediately scooted over to my bed, crouching down.
"Woah, you've been crying. What's wrong?"
I hesitantly gazed at Eren, meeting his wide green eyes, filled with concern.
Eren. The orphan that came in a little after Armin did. Since we were the same age, it didn't take long for us to become friends. And as the time flies by, we had developed a bond; one much like what siblings had.
Petra is my best friend.
Levi is the guy I have feelings for.
But Eren and Armin, they are my brothers, and I am their sister. I have been feeling guilty for not hanging around them as much for a while now, at least ever since the whole fiasco started.
"I.. I had a dream.. about my mom.... and dad." I finally told him.
Eren blinked. "Was it about the same thing again?"
I shook my head, letting out a sad smile. "No. It was a happy one. I didn't even know my brain had remembered a memory like that."
"But you're crying...?"
"I'm crying because I realized that I lost them forever. I won't ever see them again, ever."
Eren placed a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay. I know you're sad, but think about the positive things. You told me many times that you barely remember what your parents looked like. But, in this dream... you saw them clearly, right?"
"Y-yeah..."
"You see," Eren pointed out, giving me a small smile. "You have a picture of what they looked like through this dream."
I nodded slowly, realizing he was right.
"I sometimes dream about my mom, or even my dad telling me stories before bedtime. It hurts to think that I've lost them forever when I wake up, so I try and think about it in a positive way. I can get a glimpse of my parents once again, even if it's only in a dream."
Eren paused and looked at the ceiling, a distant expression on his face. "But then, it had always been my dream to be able to see them again. So you could say it was a dream come true."
The brunette shook his head and stood up. "So don't be too sad about it. Now c'mon, it's time to get up. They've finished preparing breakfast."
"Why did you guys even let me wake up late?"
Eren shrugged. "Levi's request."

"Right. Seeing that the weather gets too cold on mornings and nights, we'll only venture out during the afternoon until evening. Do we all agree that everyone has to be back before sunset?"
We all mumbled a yes, listening carefully to Erwin plans.
"Next, there's 8 of us in total. To make gathering information easier as well as stay safe, we'll always go out in groups of two. During the afternoon, we can go out alone as long as we stay in sight of the cabin. During the night, no one is to go outside alone, but they may go with a partner if truly needed, and must tell at least one person where they're going. Agreed?"
Once again, we all mumbled a soft yes to Erwin's decision.
"Everyone must already be inside by midnight, no exceptions."
We all nodded together and listened on as Erwin covered the ground rules he had come up. Every now and then, someone would give their opinion on one of his rules, then we'd discuss it together to see what's the better outcome.
It was good teamwork, to say the least. I was pretty happy that everyone was cooperating, and I'm pretty sure everyone else was also satisfied.
"Our task for the expedition is to map out the land of our lane, as well as identify everything in it. So that means we will have to scour the the whole territory. Once we've finished the first half, we'll take a day to pack everything up and move on to the second half of the lane."
"We have to move out of this cabin as soon as the month's over," Armin added. "Shadis did say that the resources here were stocked up to only last a month."
"So we have to move out from here whether we like it or not?" Hanji muttered, fixing her glasses.
Armin nodded. "If you want to survive, then yes. We have no choice but to move up the mountain next month."
"So the sooner we get all the information, the better," Levi concluded, crossing his arms.
Erwin nodded. "Precisely. We should try and gather as much information while the weather is still relatively friendly."
Everyone agreed silently, staring down at the wooden desk. Finally, Petra broke the silence by asking a question. "So, are we free to pick our partners, or are you going to assign them for us?"
Erwin stared at us, his blue eyes deep in thought. "I think we don't need to go out with the same person every single time. Choose whoever you are comfortable with."
I nodded in agreement, watching as Levi's steel eyes slowly turned to me as soon as Erwin finished talking.
I stared back at him, and he gave me a blink before turning back to Erwin. "When do we start?"
"Perhaps later in the day. Or if want, then you can start now, as long as you don't go too far."
Armin raised his hand. "I'm going to stay in until the afternoon. I want to sort out all my notes. Hanji?"
Hanji nodded. "Same."
"I need to sort out a few route plans," Erwin added, glancing at Hanji afterwards. "Will you help me?"
The brunette nodded and smiled. "Sure."
Erwin returned her smile, sweetly gazing at her eyes.
"Uhh," Petra cut in nervously, "Can I go later as well? I want to fix the girls' room."
"Sure," Erwin replied, tearing his gaze from Hanji. "That leaves Levi, (Y/N), Eren and Mikasa. What are you four going to do?"
Eren gazed outside through the window. "I want to go out. Kinda bored being cooped up here."
"In that case," Mikasa butted in, "I'll go with Eren."
Erwin nodded. "Alright. Levi? (Y/N)?"
"I'll go out," Levi said monotonously. He glanced at me, waiting for an answer.
"Sure... I'll go as well."
Erwin clapped his hands. "Well then, it's settled. Everyone here is free to go."
Everyone got up and left, leaving me, Levi, Eren and Mikasa alone.
"So," Eren began, "Which way will you guys go?"
Levi glanced at me again and I shrugged in response. I didn't really care which way we were going to go.
The raven turned back, leaning back on his chair. "Anywhere is fine."
"Okay then, how about Mikasa and I head over to the left of this cabin, and you guys take the right?" Eren suggested, slightly tilting his head.
"Sounds great," I replied, and Levi gave a nod of approval.
"Okay then." Eren got up and headed back to his room to prepare, followed by Mikasa who quickly went to her room as well.
"Meet me outside in 5," Levi ordered, standing up.
I raised a brow at his commanding tone. "Sir, yes sir."
Levi glared at me and clicked his tongue, before silently walking away to his room.
I went back to my room and quickly changed into the thickest clothes I had. I grabbed my winter coat given by the school, quickly put it on and zipped it up.
I grabbed my boots from beside my bed and hurried back to the front door. Slipping my boots on, I opened the door and closed it behind me, finding Levi standing alone outside, staring out to the snowy landscape.
As soon as he heard the sound of the door creak, he turned around and beckoned me to come to him.
I tentatively took the first step in the deep snow, before making my way to Levi.
Once I reached him, he stared at me wordlessly for a few seconds, before he reached behind my me and pulled my hoodie over my head. "Careful, it's starting to snow."
"Thanks," I murmured quietly, looking away. Levi stared at me again.
"You didn't bring anything did you?"
"You didn't tell me to!" I argued, quickly defending myself. A ghost of a smile lingered on Levi's lips as he watched my reaction.
"I know. Don't worry, I brought what we needed."
I huffed, slightly annoyed at Levi. "If you already brought it, then why ask?"
Levi shrugged. "I just wanted to see your reaction."
"Oh yeah? Then how was my reaction?" I asked with an annoyed roll of my eyes.
Levi looked away. "Just as I thought it would be."
"Which is?"
.
.
.
"...cute."

Hello everyone, just wanted to quickly stop by to say something.
So, during the days between waiting for the upload schedule to come around, I've been going around Wattpad and reading some Levi x Reader stories.
And I'm sure there is probably a whole bunch of other stories out there but, I read a Levi x Reader trilogy that I decided is just not getting the attention it deserves.
I know there are a good amount of people reading my book, and I can't be anymore grateful than that. But I ask of you all favor; to go share some love and support for this series, because it is absolutely beautiful.
The Levi x Reader trilogy I am talking about is written by NoelRoss777
"Addictive", "Disastrous" and "Faults" are the names of the three brilliant books.
This is something I'm doing based on my own will. The author did not contact me in any way. I honestly just felt the need to help share this amazing story.
So once again, please go check it out and share some love and support <3
