lilith opens her eyes for the sun's blinding rays to burn her light brown hues to crisps
she quickly shields her eyes from it, groaning at the pain. she grabs her phone from the side of her bed and checks the time, it was about eight am in the morning
she plops back down on the pink bed, not wanting to get up. she notices that the ceiling was covered in fairy lights and a bunch of pink flowers
lilith looks down and sees that she was wearing the clothes she had been wearing the day before
she must have slept in her bed after the events of yesterday
"ugh, forgive me rihanna for i have sinned" she mutters, inwardly cursing herself for wearing yesterday's clothes and even slept in her stilettos. geez how tired was she that she couldn't be bothered to take her shoes off?
begrudgingly though, she gets off of the bed and sees that a crap load of pink briefcases were beside her bed
she stares at it in confusion and realizes that those belonged to her
"good morning, lilith" mom says, with her natural perfect smile, the smile was contagious as it made lilith smile back as well "morning mom"
"your assistant phoned me earlier, she said that you never showed up to your hotel reservation and decided to send all your things here instead. so i took it upon myself to haul everything up to your room" grace states proudly, clasping her hands together
"you carried them all by yourself? no one helped you?" lilith asks in disbelief
grace shakes her head "i did it myself. but before you go and storm off to your brother i told him i wanted to do this all by myself. it makes me haply to do things for my children again"
lilith is quiet, wanting to protest but she knew mom well enough to know that there was no use arguing with her
at the silence grace claps her hands together "okay! well you better get changed, i made you eggs and bacon with french toast on the side for breakfast, and if you finish it on time i'll make you some cookies!" grace says before disappearing from lilith's view
lilith smiles to herself, even at the age of thirty mom still treated them like children. but she didn't mind, as long as it was mom. lilith was happy
lilith was even happier that she had clothes to wear too
so after what seemed like years, she settled on wearing a khaki shania soft sweater coat to go above her pink tank top, some blue ripped jeans and her signature pink dagger heels
satisfied with her outfit, she does a twirl in front of the mirror and blows herself a kiss
"you look perfect today"
ha! yeah right
"god can you like not be an ass right now? why don't you just keep quiet like you have been the whole day yesterday?"
i may not speak much, mostly because i mostly enjoy watching your pathetic mundane activities
lilith rolls her eyes as she walks down the stairs, seeing klaus in nothing but underwear yelling at the china cabinet
"hey crazy, hello china cabinet" she says looking at the china cabinet before looking back at her brother
klaus freezes before answering gingerly "they don't like to be labeled" he looks her up and down and whistles "where are you going, looking like that?" before lilith could even think of a response klaus turns back to the china cabinet and gives it a smirk "jealous that you can't touch?"
lilith blinks "i'm going to eat breakfast and walk around, why?"
"nothing, just that you look like you'd give away free blow jobs at the back of an alley way"
lilith scoffs and shakes her head, looking him up and down as well "wow, i hope you remember that i'm the multi millionaire and you're the broke druggie who asked me for money yesterday. and besides, you're one to talk king thong," they both chuckle before lilith continues staring at him
"but seriously where are you clothes frank n furter?" she asks, sitting on the sofa closest to the china cabinet and klaus just stares at her before smirking
"what is up with you and the china cabinet?" she asks again, confused by the whole ordeal that she wanted in on
klaus shakes his head "nothing nothing"
pogo then clears his throat, getting the attention of the two siblings. pogo recieves a smile from lilith which he returns and a shocked expression from klaus, who places a hand on his chest
"christ on a cracker, pogo!" lilith laughs and shakes her head
"my apologies master klaus, but i have a query for you" pogo says in his soft yet authoritive voice, making it known that the issue he was going to discuss was serious
"items from your father's desk have gone missing," he stares at klaus knowingly "in particular, an ornate box with a pearl inlay"
"oh?" liliths slowly turns to look at klaus "i wonder..."
klaus sticks his tongue at her which lilith gladly responds with the same immature gesture
"really? you don't say" klaus replies subtly
"any idea where it went?" pogo questions
"what? no, no, no. no ideas." klaus denies with a sigh, and it almost convinces lilith
if she was a stupid naive three year old
"sorry" klaus apologizes, giving pogo the puppy eyes lillith used to do to get away with things, but with klaus doing it, it looke asinine
"right, and crocs and dresses go really well together" lilith mutters
"drop dead." klaus spat towards the china cabinet again he glares at the empty spot
"would you shut up?!"
"excuse me?" pogo asks, assuming that klaus was referring to him
"pogo, i didn't mean you, i just..."
"you know, there's been a lot of stuff i've been dealing with." klaus states, lighting himself a joint
"just a lot of memories coming up. all those good times. well, not such good times as really awful, terrible, depressing times."
"the contents of that box are...priceless." pogo stated
klaus takes a blow from his joint and exhales through his nostrils
"were they to find their way back to the office, whoever took it would be absolved any blame or consequences.""oh, well, lucky bastard." klaus replies
pogo sighs "indeed" he says, leaving the two siblings alone in the living room
klaus swallowed nervously, seeing this lilith nudges his shoulder "breakfast?" he smiles "yeah"
they both stand up but lilith pokes his chest "clothes, or i'll tell mom that you were the one that used up her new bottle of lipstick when we were twelve"
klaus narrows his eyes at her "you wouldn't"
lilith gives him an evil grin before running to the kitchen "mom!" she calls out
"alright alright i'm getting dressed!" he yells as he frantically runs up the stairs

lilith was a strong independent and capable young woman
at age sixteen she moved out of her home to live in france to make a living out of being stylish
her father didn't believe in her, he told her she was going to land rock bottom and come crawling back to him. to make matters worse, luther took it upon himself to berate her about her career path in behalf of their father
and then she became the multi millionaire the world knows and practically worships. she had the people's attention and basically controlled every fashion trend there was
lilith hargreeves was a powerful woman
but she certainly didn't feel like her all powerful self as she paced back and forth in her room having an argument with her fiancee
"trevor, it's my father's funeral. please understand that i can't be there" she whispers, not wanting any of her family members to see how weak she practically was
"do i sound like someone who could be fucking understanding? get your ass back here or i will, whether you like it or not"
lilith flinches at his tone, running a hand through her blonde hair, tugging onto the roots "yeah i'll uh...see what i-i can do"
"well you better"
before lilith could say anything else her "beloved" fiancee ended the call, leaving her alone in silence
she ruffles her hair, aggravated and groans. trevor was an ass
but if she even thought about breaking off the engagement more and more stress would just pile up
and she didn't need it
not now
"hey lilith, you okay?" lilith looks up and sees vanya standing in the corridor, looking worried for her sister
lilith pats her hair smoothly back into place and gives her a reassuring smile "yeah. yeah i'm alright" she eyes the violin in her hands before looking back at vanya
vanya furrows her brows, trying to figure out what was up with lilith "you don't seem alright..."
"trust me, vonnie. i'm fine" lilith insists, begging internally for vanya to stop questioning her
though she did love how vanya is engaging into conversation now, she was always left out as a kid, and lilith couldn't help but feel partly responsible for that
vanya stares at her for a few more minutes before nodding "alright, i'm sorry if i'm bothering you or anything" she says slowly retreating out of lilith's room
lilith shakes her head "no not at all. thanks for the asking though"
"oh and uh five's looking for you. he's right across the hall so..." vanya trails off. lilith gives her sister a smile "again thank you, i'm going to go check on him now"

as lilith walks into the room five and klaus were conversing in she stumbles into a very odd sight
klaus was on the floor wearing some sort of god forsaken outfit while five was looking down on him as per always
it wasn't really odd, just klaus' outfit got her annoyed
"will you stop it? she'll hear you" five says to klaus, his voice was low but anyone could tell he was pretty aggravated
"who is she and what would she hear?" five turns around and looks her up and down before looking at klaus "you were right, she does look slutty enough"
lilith scowls at the both of them "what?!" she exclaims
at this klaus slaps five's shoulder, and the latter quickly makes up an excuse for his choice of words "i didn't mean it like that!"
it just wasn't a good alibi
"oh so slutty's a conpliment in your book?" she asks, hovering over five similar to how luther would
"yes?" klaus replies, earning a glare that only sayan could pull off from lilith
but soon she calms down with a few deep breaths and looks at the two "so, what did you want from me five?" she asks
five thinks to himslef before nodding his head "i want you to be plan b"
"plan b?" she raises her eyebrow at the odd proposition "we're going to go somewhere, and the plan is to make them believe that klaus is my dad, and if that doesn't work out you'll-"
"slut it out?" she spat, not really liking where this was going, and yet she was intrigued
"...pay them or something" five finishes, and smiles at lilith's embarrassed look "oh" she mutters
"but first things first, we have to get klaud a decent suit"
"got it, we'll raid the old man's closet"
this chapter is shorter than the others, mostly because i'm really tired but i really wanted this publishes today so uh thanks
oh and uh i'm sorry if any of you guys are offended that lilith was being referred to as a slut a lot, i was oretty tired and i kind of have a plan on using her sexuality as a weapon in the next chapter
