You made busy work cataloging all the guns and bullets in the inventory list. Going through all the items your mind started to wander. Wander to thoughts of him. Touya Todoroki.
When you were younger both of your fathers decided to arrange a quirk marriage against your wills. You were beyond in rage from your father's actions that day. But that kind of subsided when you meet Touya.
He was cold to you at first until you had started sharing how much you hated your father. After that you two had started to grow closer together. You'd talk of the training you both had undergone, games that were interesting to play, and even close feelings. Hell you had even openly told him you were a trans man and totally gay. And even though he told you it already seemed obvious he was gay too. The both of you shared so many things that you began to think having a quirk marriage with him wouldn't be so bad.
That was until the day he ran away from home. You had always blamed yourself for his sudden disappearance. That perhaps it was something you had done or maybe it was because you had asked him out awkwardly the day before. Sure you were arranged to marry but you thought maybe it would have been more sincere if you had asked him out first.
Little had you known that he had stood up for his younger brother that night. Going up against his own father to protect him. But it of course came to an end after Touya had received to many severe burns that failed to heal.
After that night life had gotten much worse for you. Not only was your father overtraining you to the point you started to cough up crystals and blood but you had to deal with Endeavour as well. He would come over sometimes when you weren't training. During those times one of two things would happen. He'd shout at you for hours about how Touya leaving was your fault and that you were never worthy of being his wife. Or...
He'd beat the absolute shit out of you making sure to burn you with his fire as he went. There was only one burn that turned out severe and that was the day everything had gone down.
Endeavour had come over to "talk" again per usual. But that day you weren't feeling like dealing with his bullshit. Out of sheer rage you had told him you were a guy and that his son had been gay. That recieved you a nice somewhat hand-shaped scar on your neck from the skin being burned off. The taller male had tried to kill you by strangulation that day but he had underestimated you as you made it out with your life.
It was about a week of petty robberies and bouncing between abandoned buildings when it happened. The building you choose to sleep in was one actually used for underground trading. Giran had woken you up that day taking you back to his place of business. The guy was surprisingly kind as you could tell this probably wasn't the first time he helped a kid off the streets.
Within a few days your physical health was back to a normal state and you were well enough to be on your own. But you had grown on Giran so naturally he offered you a job to work for him. When you accepted he showed an amount of joy similar to a proud dad. After that you started to work inventory for all the illegal trades he'd do. As boring as it was, inventory was actually one of the most important jobs. And he'd trusted you with it.
As the years went by you used the extra money from your job to get the surgeries you wanted-no needed. The doctors were of course illegally licensed. But you had made sure to do your homework on them as well as Giran secretly threatening them behind your back.
So here we are with a (h/c) haired, (s/c) skinned, 6 foot tall man. Your body built to the fact you had to earn being a man. And had to prove that to everyone every single day.
You sighed softly at the warming thoughts. That was until...
"(N/n)!!!" Giran shouted that ridiculous nickname from across the building.
'He only yells whenever something is important.' You think taking off in a sprint to his voice. You slowed down to a walk as you rounded the corner. Immediately you noticed Giran wasn't the only one in the room. There was a blue-haired and rather skinny male with hands littering his upper frame. Another male beside him sported a trench coat, sort-of spikey black hair, and scarring on his face, neck, and arms-much similar to the small patch on your neck.
You looked back at Giran kind of confused. "You called?"
"Yes, these gentlemen here may have a job for you. If you're up for it." He stated.
"Alright." You responded being monotone. You tapped the clipboard with the list against your shoulder.
"Show us your quirk." The blue-haired male demanded.
You rolled your eyes but complied to the order. Throwing the clipboard up you activated your quirk with a punch smashing the wood into about eight pieces.
Both males seemed to be unimpressed by the short lived show. You frowned your eyes slightly at the pair.
"You said he was strong. But he probably can't even protect himself from a quirk." The male said scratching furiously at his neck.
You gave him a glare as if warning him not to underestimate you. Due to your training and the constant abuse from Endeavour you had received when younger, there were many quirks that you could hold up against.
"Then give me a quirk to go against!" You snapped at him out of rage
The lanky individual looked almost shocked that you yelled at him. Nevertheless, he looked to the male beside him as if signaling. It happened so fast after that. The scarred man had simply raised his arm before an enormous amount of flames came shooting out. They engulfed you trying so hard to get through your crystal shell. But there was something different about this guys fire. It was hotter? Who could produce this hot of fire?
Just then you realized the color, the pieces automatically clicking together in your head. This was blue fire! His fire...
The fire died down as the two males came back into view. You deactivated your quirk making the crystals disappear. The blue haired was the first to speak, "Alright we'll have him in the league."
You grinned at the fact you could prove this individual wrong. But there still was one thing on your mind. Feeling particularly brave you stepped in front of the black haired male.
"There's only one person I've ever known to have blue fire. So is it you T-." You were cut off with him putting his hand over your mouth.
"I go by Dabi now, dollface." He said in a somewhat low voice.
You rolled your eyes slightly at the clearly fake name. He could have at least picked something convincing but no, of course not. Getting slightly annoyed that he was still silencing you so you bit his hand. He retracted the arm almost instantly.
"I'm surprised you still remember me." You stated.
"How could I forget (Y/N)?" He replied.
His voice was monotone so he thought you couldn't see how he really felt. But he was wrong. What you focused on was his eyes that told you everything. The fear that you had turned to villainy as well. The worry that his fire may have hurt you. But above all, the love and joy he was able to see you again.
You smirked slightly at the man as you spoke, "So you never got to answer my question."
You knew it was a long shot but you really did love him, since you both were kids. Sure he had changed but so had you and you were willing to give it a shot.
"Yes." You heard him say faintly.
You clearly heard it being so close to him but feeling a sense of pride you wanted him to say it louder. "What was that?"
"Yes." He said a bit louder. Not loud enough.
"Come again." You stated.
"Fuck this ." He spoke up turning on his heel.
You grabbed him by the arm before he could walk away. Yanking him back towards you in a harsh manner. The both of your bodies crashed against each other as you wrapped an arm around his waist. Without a second thought you pulled him into a rough kiss that took him by surprise. It was a few seconds before you felt his lips moving in sync to yours. Pulling away for air you looked at his dusted pink cheeks smiling.
"You're too prideful." He said out loud.
"But you love it." You replied back to him.
This time he was the one to hug your waist as he nuzzled his face into your neck. "I do."
