ιτ ωαѕ αℓяєα∂γ ℓυиϲн, yet Jihoon felt anxious for some reason.

Is someone watching me?

He had glanced around him a few times, even in class. He doesn't know why, but he can't shake off the feeling that someone was watching him. His every move, observed by someone anonymous.

"Ji?"

Jihoon snapped out of his trance and stared up at Wonwoo who was looking back at him in concern, adjusting his spectacles with his thumb. His eyebrows furrowed and his intense gaze got even more exquisite.

He contemplated in his head, looking down on the floor to avoid the gaze.

Should I tell him?

Or should I not?

"Nah, it's nothing." Jihoon replied, flicking his hand in the air in gesture to forget about it. But Wonwoo still had concern evident in his face that Jihoon felt bad for worrying his friend out of his paranoia.

"It's really nothing, Won. Come on. I bet your boyfriend is already whining in the cafeteria because his soulmate is running late." Jihoon sent him a knowing look. Wonwoo chuckled as he finally forgot about Jihoon and started walking towards the cafeteria with the smaller male in tow, a certain tall man in mind.

He hummed. "Yeah, maybe he is. And I bet your soulmate is panicking already because you're still not there, thinking that maybe you're not gonna come for lunch at all."

Jihoon flushed a pretty shade of rosy pink and glared up his hyung. But Wonwoo was cleaning his golden spectacles (that Minghao gave for him for his eighteenth birthday) with his purple handkerchief which had his initials sewn clumsily in a darker shade of violet by the corner of the said kerchief. (It was Mingyu who gave it to him, but Wonwoo still appreciated it.)

Wonwoo had a victorious smirk plastered on his face that Jihoon oh-so wanted to punch. Jihoon just huffed and walked faster than the older. Albeit, the older caught up with his longer legs that will always beat the smaller's own.

When they have arrived to the cafeteria, Seungkwan called them over, arriving to their reserved table and the chubby boy sat down.

Seokmin and Chan were the only ones in the table when they arrived. Jihoon looked around, seeking for a particular person when Seungkwan spoke up.

"Mingyu went to get Wonwoo-hyung his tray of lunch. Minghao and Jun-hyung are running late again and Hansollie is with Mingyu." Seungkwan stated as he beckoned the duo to the table and looked over to his other two friends.

Chan was busy on his phone again (probably texting Shieka again), tapping away while Seokmin was sleeping with his head leaning on the table. Drool was rolling down his lips and Seungkwan grimaced in disgust.

Jihoon and Wonwoo sat down across them, sitting on the long plastic bench and Jihoon pulled out his pink lunchbox from his black backpack.

He had a frown on his face as he turned to Seungkwan, questioning, "where's Soonyoung?"

Wonwoo and Seungkwan shared side-glances and smirked at each other, turning to the smaller again.

"Why do you ask, hyung?" Seungkwan asked back and Jihoon was already blushing from Seungkwan's other thoughts of his question.

"I'm just asking. What's wrong in that?"

"Well, firstly, you hated soulmates. You loathed them." Wonwoo started, raising a finger to count. "Second, when you met Soonyoung, you didn't like him at all." Another finger was raised and Jihoon was already groaning, hating Wonwoo and Seungkwan from their weird ideas about him and Soonyoung.

Well, he should admit. Wonwoo was right about those two facts. He hated soulmates and the fact of finding his soulmate just intensified his hatred over it. But then, Soonyoung was different.

I mean, sure, he's cute and bubbly and all. He thought he'd have another Mingyu in his life and one Mingyu is already enough to ruin his life, he doesn't need two, for god's sake. But then when he got to know Soonyoung, he actually felt a weird attraction towards him.

He was kind, generous and is understanding to him.

He waits patiently for the younger to actually open up to him (a lot of people always gave up on him easily which is why he was a whole lot surprised to Soonyoung actually being patient with him).

He knows the perfect trick to make the younger smile from a gloomy day.

He always finds a way to make the younger blush and is always teasing him about it but he knows his limits.

He is always thoughtful about Jihoon's feelings. Jihoon didn't even tell him he's a very sensitive person. One insult and it would already send him down on his knees. He doesn't know.

Maybe it's a soulmate thing.

Jihoon wasn't able to hear the rest of Wonwoo's reasons when he dozed off, looking into nothingness. Wonwoo turned to look at Seungkwan and Seungkwan was looking back at him.

"He's whipped, isn't he?"

"You could say that."

ωнєи τнє οτнєяѕ αяяινє∂ ϐαϲκ, they noticed that Minghao's lips were a bit swollen and Junhui's hair was all over the place. Minghao had awkwardly sat on his seat beside Chan, not meeting anyone's gaze but Junhui didn't mind the stares at all.

Minghao hit Junhui, demanding him to fix his hair quickly but Junhui refuses, enjoying his soulmate's dismay. Hansol sat down beside Seungkwan, a tray in hand.

Seokmin woke up from a dreamless sleep when he felt someone sit beside him. He glanced over his side and groaned when he saw Hansol and Seungkwan again. Soulmates.

Hansol noticed the stare Seungkwan was giving his tray of lunch. Seungkwan then gazed up, staring into Hansol's eyes with a disgusted look.

"Okay, Hansol? Honey? You know I love you, right?"

"Uh, yeah?"

"I really love you, Sollie. But I'd hate you if you eat that garbage." Seungkwan pointed to the tray Hansol placed down. Something eeriely white and quite an unappetizing food sat before them and Hansol grimaced as well.

"Sorry, Boo. I've been in New York for such a long time that I don't know any type of Korean food anymore." Seungkwan awwed at his soulmate's cuteness, pinching his boyfriend's cheek and stood up, asking Seokmin to let him through as he got out of the table, ushering his lover over.

"I'll show you what's it like to eat real food then."

As they went away to get the halfer a better lunch, Jihoon furrowed his eyebrows. He turned to Wonwoo and asked, "do you know what the guy's name is again?"

"I don't know, Ji. This is the first time I've seen him." Wonwoo shrugged. He caught a glimpse of his boyfriend walking towards their table and he waved him over.

Mingyu sat down beside him, sliding the lunch he got for his soulmate and Wonwoo thanked him silently. Seokmin sighed.

"The American's name is Hansol. His soulmate is Seungkwan."

"I could tell that." Jihoon replied as he opened his pink lunch box, rows of kimbaps that his housemates prepared for him emerging. Wonwoo swiftly stole one when Jihoon was busy digging into his bag.

"Yeah. But the surprising part is when you learn that they met each other when they were only kids." Jihoon pulled out his metal chopsticks from a green case and glanced over a sulking Seokmin.

"How so?"

"Like, they were only six when they met!" Wonwoo choked on his stolen kimbap and Mingyu hurried to give him his bottle of water.

Minghao spilled his soda and Junhui shrieked because when Minghao spouted his drink, he had turned and spurted the content on Junhui.

Chan was still on his phone, not listening.

Jihoon stared dumbfounded to the younger, jaw dropped in surprise.

"What?"

"Yeah! They were like first graders back then! Imagine how young they were!"

"Actually they were five." A voice uttered behind Jihoon, making him jump in surprise and twisted his upper body to see Soonyoung behind him. A cheeky grin rested upon his chubby face and Jihoon hit him on the stomach, Soonyoung doubling over.

"Why would you do that?"

"Nothing. I just felt like it."

"You're just like Minghao..."

"Why? Do you have a problem with our savageness?"

"You're really mean, Hoonie..." but Jihoon didn't pay him any mind as he faced Seokmin again who was still sulking by himself. "So they were five when they met. That's like... kindergarten."

"Exactly!"

"Wait, wait, wait! Hold up! Is that even possible? Meeting your soulmate at the age of babies? Aren't you supposed to meet your soulmate about sixteen to whatever age that's older than sixteen? Is that thing even possible?" Minghao questioned in incredulity, looking the two repeatedly.

"Apparently." Wonwoo replied as he ate in one bite the kimbap that Mingyu fed him.

"Have you seen Chan? He's still fifteen, younger than sixteen."

"Huh? What about me?" Chan perked up his head at the mention of his name. He looked his hyungs one by one, confused written in his face.

"Nothing that could concern you, you lovesick dinosaur!" Seokmin replied as he 'hmph'-ed Chan, arms crossed on his chest. Chan rolled his eyes.

"At least I have a soulmate."

"Okay, dude? Ouch." Seokmin pouted by himself, looking on the sky blue table that he sees as white. "Just because you met your soulmate at fifteen doesn't mean I won't meet my own."

"I didn't say anything like that." Seokmin's frown deepened and Wonwoo sent him an apologetic smile, but Seokmin waved it off. Wonwoo then turned to his boyfriend.

"Hey, feed me while I'm playing."

"Again?"

"It's been a while since the last time I've used my phone."

"We just texted each other all night last night."

"Still doesn't count to using my phone."

"What's not to count there?!"

"I don't know. Think of it yourself." Wonwoo finished the conversation as he pulled out his device and grinned victoriously when Mingyu sighed in defeat.

Soonyoung sat down beside Jihoon and handed him the container he had been holding all this time. Jihoon raised an eyebrow over him.

"My mom sent it for you. Figured you'd miss her amazing dishes." Jihoon grinned as he opened it up and was met up with yet another foreign food.

"Japanese food?"

"Yup."

"Knew it." Soonyoung chuckled as Jihoon twirled noddles around his chopsticks, pulling them into his lips and chewing. He hummed.

"I love how it tastes. What is it?"

"Soba. My dad's favorite actually."

"You still remember a few things about him?"

"Hmm, just a few. What about you?"

"My dad left before my mom died."

"Oh... um, sorry?"

"Nah, my dad is a dick anyway."

"That makes two, then." Jihoon huffed and continued eating his soba. Soonyoung took a couple of kimbap from his soulmate's lunch and ate quietly beside him, chatting with him while watching intently to the way his soulmate's pink glossy lips pucker out to pull the white noodles into his lips.

So very kissable.
