Letting out a yawn you sipped on your tea, a book in hand.
You took it from the library in town and got quite invested in the plot!
Who knew that monsters had their own writers? Well certainly not you!
The book looked old and worn down, making you feel that it might of been written even before the war.
It certainly was unique when it comes to the characters and the love part.
A human and a monster was surely an unique pair.
It didn't stop you from thinking that they were cute tho.
"Hey mum! Whatcha reading?" Sans asked as he walked into the living room, looking up at you in curiosity.
You looked at the title, but it was worn out and you couldn't exactly read it.
You shrugged and then glanced back at the child.
"Want me to read to you?" You asked and he nodded eagerly making you chuckle and pick him up.
He sat down on your lap and soon Papyrus joined in.
"A love between a human and skeleton wasn't taken kindly in their village. To save their life, they had to run away, leaving behind their old lives in the name of love." You started to read from where you left off.
You were surprised at first, seeing as Gaster and the kids were the only skeletons and had to remind yourself about what Gaster told you back at Grillby's.
You continued to read, occasionally blushing at kids comments about how the main characters were similar to you and their dad.

You read to them for some time before they got bored and decided to go play with their toys, while you continued your lecture.
"Heyyyyyyy (Y/nnnnnnnnnnn)." You heard the familiar tone and roled your eyes playfully.
"Okay Gaster. I kept you from asking questions for a long time anyway." You knew what he wanted and you already asked him your questions.
"Yes!" You heard and Gaster jumped on the couch, making you laugh at how much of a dork he was sometimes.
"I had one question bugging me ever since you came back. What did you do to fall?"
Oh right. You didn't tell him about that.
"Well. It started just after the war was won. Even angels celebrated winning and as the time went on and the party died down, I started to feel guilt. All the monsters that lost their family, that were left outside the mountain to get killed by the humans. It made me feel, awful. That was the moment I decided to help the monsters That were left outside and one day, I went to far for HIM. I openly attacked my second in command to protect a child and then brought her back to her parents and well... You can guess what happened next."
If Gaster felt bad about yelling at you before, now he felt even worse.
"But it's all in the past now. Besides, if I didn't fall, then I wouldn't have met you." You said, smiling warmly at him.
He returned the gesture and then glanced at Sans and Papyrus to make sure they hadn't destroyed anything yet.
"Anyways! I'm going to visit Toriel and Asgore." You said and stood up, giving him a smile again and then taking your coat to protect you from the cold.
"Have fun!" Gaster called out from behind you as you closed the door.

Waving to the couple you walked out of the castle, a slice of cinnamon pie in your hand.
Those two were honestly something else. They didn't even mind you having wings and talked with you as if nothing had happened.
They actually suprised you today. Turns out they have a son! And he is a-do-ra-ble! He was shy at first, only glancing from behind his mother robes, but soon warmed up to you and happily played with you for the rest of your stay at the castle.
Humming softly you took the longer way to Snowdin, enjoying the scenery.
Finnally reaching your house, you opened the door to see Indarra on the couch with Sans and Papyrus sitting on the floor and looking up at him.
Looks like you interrupted one of his stories again.
"MUM!" Both the kids giggles as they ran over to you, hugging your legs.
"Hi boys." You giggled and knelt down to hug them back.
"So. An angel huh?" You looked up at Indarra when he spoke, looking at you with unreadable expression.
You stood up again, not saying a word and just gave him a small nod, waiting for him to continue.
"You were one bloody good opponent. If you'd like to train with me some time, let me know" He said, his smile showing of his sharp teeth, and gave you a wink.
You chuckled softly and then gave him another nod. "Sure thing."
Indarra grinned, before motioning for Sans and Papyrus to come back so he could continue the story.
"Where is Gaster anyway? I thought that he finished working for today?" You asked, looking around.
"Right here." You heard his voice from behind you.
You turned, seeing him leaning on the wall with the front door open. Looks like he was out just like you.
"I brought someone I think you'd like to see." He said with a smile, motioning for the open door.
You saw three, very familiar people walk in and your eyes widen when you recognised them.
"Amber?" You asked, looking at the small fox monster in front of you.
"Ms. Angel!" She said happily, giving you a hug.
You hugged her back, before picking her up and looking at Gaster and the girls parents, who looked like they did not mind you picking up their child.
"How did you know it was her?" You asked surprised. You didn't tell him what monster you protected to get thrown down here.
"Well it wasn't hard. It isn't every day that a child claims to be saved by an angel while her parents say that a monster brought her back." He said with a shrug.
The other two fox monsters walked over to you while you put Amber down to let her play with Papy and Sans.
"Thank you for saving out daughter. We thought that we'd never see her again!" The mother said, hugging you. Her husband following her lead and also wrapping his arms around you.
The evening flew quickly with such a good company.
You talked, joked around and played with the kids and even listened to few of Indarras stories, who made sure they werent about the war with angels.
They soon had to leave and you said your last goodbyes to the family before they went back to their house.
You closed the door and turned to Gaster, who was looking at you with his god damn smirk.
"You are a wonder, you know that?" You said, walking over to him.
"Tell me something I don't know." He joked, making you shake your head in amusement.
You gave him a hug, burying your head in his neck.
"Thank you. I really needed to see her again." You mumbled against his neck.
Hugging him you didn't notice a purple blush spreading on his cheek bones.
"A fallen angel, in the dark-"
