"IT'S CALLED PASSION FLIGHT." The Filipino girl smiled, showing off her new nail color to her two best friends with a large smile on her face.
"Oh, hot." Emma complimented, smiling at her friend
"Speaking of hot." Baby Roberts spoke up, nodding her head in the direction of a certain older boy
"Hey" Sean smiled, approaching the group of girls to talk to the taller girl
"Hey." Emma replied with an even bigger smile, blushing a bit as nerves seem to catch up to her
"Oh, gee. I forgot. We have to go talk to Liberty." Manny finally spoke up, pulling her friend away from the waiting couple
"Bye" Baby smiled with a slight wave of her hand
The two moved a couple feet away before rushing to hide behind a pillar, watching their friend interact with the older boy. They waited until the coast was clear before rushing back in Emma's direction, the Roberts girl quickly speaking up, "Okay. So, what'd he want?"
"Guys, I'm not sure, but I think he asked me on a date." She grinned, making the trio squeal, before beginning to jump up and down in pure excitement.
"This is so exciting. Your first date." Manny laughed as the girls made their way into the classroom
"I know." Emma grinned, hiding her bashfulness behind her short hair
"And romantic. So how'd he ask you?" Baby interrogated the girl, curious to see how Sean goes about getting all the girls
"I don't know. He just asked." She shrugged, disappointing her two friends, especially Manny, "Well, it had to be more than that."
Emma was freed from her friend's grilling by the appearance of their most awkward friend, "Hey, guys. I mean girls. I mean..."
"Let's go sharpen our pencils." Emma laughed, dragging Manny off with her, clearly amused by the boy's nerves around her
"Nice try." Baby smiled, patting Toby on the shoulder in an attempt to provide him so kind of condolence
JT approached the odd duo, making the blonde groan at the fact that she was finally going to have to fork over the money she owed the boy from their previous lunchroom bet, "Here. The money from our bet."
"Keep it. Sweet laughter is good enough for me." He smiled with a cheesy grin, while leading the two to their seats, "Whatever."

GYM CLASS ROLLED AROUND, forcing Baby Roberts to do the one thing she hated more than almost anything in the world, working out.
The only thing keeping the blonde distracted was her continued conversation with Emma and Manny about the date debacle that had occurred earlier in the day.
"I'm sure he was asking you out." Baby insisted, leaning down to stretch out her short legs
"Well, I'm not so sure anymore. Besides, even if it was, couldn't he have been a bit more romantic?" Emma sighed, following her friend's lead and stretching her lanky legs
"Well, here's your chance to find out." The blonde said, nodding to the boy of the hour, who stood on the other side of the gym with all of the other boys
Emma Nelson stood up from her stretching position, composing herself for a moment, before making her way over to the older boy.
What the two girls thought would be a peaceful conversation, quickly proved otherwise when the couple's expressions quickly turned sour.
Letting the argument go no further, the coach finally decided to do their job and called the students together for a game of dodgeball. Because nothing in the world is more enjoyable than being pegged with a ball.
The short blonde quickly pulled herself into a couching position, covering the rest of her body with her arms. Nothing came in the Roberts girl's direction, as everyone else was too busy was Emma Nelson repeatedly pelt Sean with the dodgeballs
The PE coach stepped in once again, telling the two sexes to head back to the locker rooms and get dressed for their next classes. No one spoke to the tall girl, who was clearly still raging about her conversation with the older boy.
"You sure got a strong arm, Em." Baby joked, as her and Manny met up with the tall girl in the hallway, after getting changed back into their regular clothes
"Guys, I have no idea what to do. Toby said Sean was just making conversation." The girl groaned to her two friends, having just had a conversation with Toby about Sean's behavior, while the two were dressing
"You asked Toby about Sean?" Baby questioned with a small laugh
"I know, but I'm desperate here." Emma sighed, stressed with the weight of school and her current boy troubles
The trio of girls nearly shit themselves, when the queen been of grade eight popped up in their path, clearly having been eavesdropping on their conversation, "Having a little boy trouble? Anything I could help you with."
"No, nothing's going on." Emma insisted, trying to avoid Paige at any cost, as she pushed on to class
"Hun, your thing for Sean is more obvious than Heather's bargain basement nose job. Do you want my help on this or not?" Paige asked, again, while the smaller blonde laughed at her analogy
Emma looked to her two friends for help, only receiving shrugs in response, as they thought Paige might actually be of some help to the girl, "Okay, Sean asked me to hang out with him tonight. Not go out, hang out. I think he might be asking me on a date, am I wrong?"
"Hun, that's a date." The older girl laughed
"Told you." Baby smiled, patting her arm gently
"Just in vague guy speak." She added, before walking away from the boy confused group of girls

EMMA NELSON DID GO ON HER DATE with the older boy, but it definitely didn't go the way she had envisioned in her head.
"Oh, God. I want to keep this picture forever." Baby Roberts smiled, tightly gripping the picture of her friend standing next to Sean, bird poop on the shoulder of her jean jacket.
"So, this is pre-poop and this is post-poop?" Manny asked, pointing to the other picture Emma had brought, one that lacked the poop-stained jacket
"I like your first outfit better." JT commented, peaking over Emma's shoulder to look at the pictures. Emma glared at the boy, making him back up in surrender before she hit him. The Roberts girl laughed at the fear on her best friend's face and gave him a small pat on the back.
"I'll be lucky if Sean ever speaks to me again." She groaned, talking to the girls of the group rather than the teasing boy behind her
"Emma, if Sean really likes you he's not gonna let some bird crap change his mind." The shorter blonde promised
As if on some kind of universal cue, Sean walked in with his gaze stone set on Emma Nelson. The group took this as their perfect moment to leave the couple alone

AFTER HOURS OF GRUELING WORK, Baby Roberts allowed to let herself relax, plopping down on the floor of her room, hoping to paint her bare nails.
As usual, the girl had little time to herself, behind interrupted by a small tap on her small window. She turned her head to find Spinner, struggling to keep his balance as he knocked. Baby watched him struggle for a moment, before finally opening the window up for the boy to crawl through
"What do you want?" She wondered, blowing on the wet nail polish she had just stroked on her middle finger
"I did something bad." He admitted, awkwardly squeezing himself through the small window
"Like jail bad or feeling guilty bad?" She quizzed, beginning to get a bit worried that she had just become an accomplice to one of his stupid ideas
"Feeling guilty bad." He sighed, taking a spot on the girl's bed, despite her protests
"Okay...What did you do?" She asked, trying to get the conversation moving so he would leave her as soon as possible
"Me and Jimmy wanted to get back at Mrs. Quan for putting us in detention, so we messed with her night class and egged her car. She started crying, and now she's on a leave of absence because of the stress of work and her husband being sick." He ranted, visibly upset about the prank he had played on his poor teacher
"Wow, that's terrible." Baby commented
"I know. I feel like such a jerk." He agreed, resting his head in his hands
"You should apologize or try being nicer to her." She suggested, showing the boy her two middle fingers, having been the only ones she ended up painting
"I just wish I could go back." Spinner continued, smiling only a little at the girl's choice of nail art
"I know, but you can't." She told the boy, truthfully, patting his shoulder, "Wait, if your family is coming over in an hour for dinner, why'd you come now?"
"Cause I'm sad." He groaned, making her laugh harder
