It's Raining Men ☼

BABY ROBERTS WALKED DOWN THE  hallway with an upset Manny. The Filipino girl was still feeling the effects of everything that occurred last week, and she felt sort of alone.

"Manny, I promise it'll get better. How about we go get ice cream after school? That's always been your favorite." Baby suggested, holding her friend's hand

"That sounds fun, and I'm really sorry for dragging you down with all of this." She apologized with a smile

"Don't feel bad for being upset about something. It was big and you don't have to get over it quickly." Baby promised, her my arm over her shoulder

"Good Morning, Baby, Manny." JT greeted from his locker, as the duo walked past him and Toby

"Hey, guys! Loved the poster, JT." Baby greeted with a laugh, referring to the giant JT cut out some man was carrying down the hall

The two girls smiled at each other, before heading to the gym for cheer practice. Paige decided she wanted to go through the whole cheer routine during practice, so that's exactly what they did.

Manny and Baby did multiple flips in the front, while everyone else cheered and stunted. the two friends hit their final pose, and JT, who's also the mascot, slid across the floor on his knees.

Paige nodded to let us know we had finished, and Manny and Baby instantly headed for the locker room.

"Baby." JT called, rushing to catch up with the girls. The blonde nodded at Manny, to let her know she could walk ahead, and turned to face a nervous looking JT.

"Sorry. No pockets. Just read it." He smiled, before pulling a slip of paper out of his helmet

Baby laughed before unfolding the piece of paper. It was an invitation for a launch party for the fry commercial he was in.

"Everyone's gonna be there. Emma, Liberty, and I know you can convince Manny to come." He smiled

"JT, I'd love to, but this is at Ashley's house. I told Manny I'd hang out with her tonight, and I don't think she'd feel comfortable over there." The blonde apologized, knowing she was disappointing him

"Toby said she's out for the night. I'd really like it if you came." JT begged

Baby sighed before folding up the paper, "I really want to, but I'll have to talk to Manny. I'm sorry."

"Why? Why would Manny feel so uncomfortable there? Just tell me." JT asked the girl, beginning to feel a bit frustrated

"At school, when people talk about her? She can leave. At a party, she's basically stuck and I'd feel like a terrible friend for putting her in that situation." The blonde explained, lowering her voice so the others wouldn't hear

"Well, what if I told you I won't let anyone say a word about her?" He promised

I smiled at the boy's generosity, before continuing, "That's really sweet, but... I really can't make this decision for her."

"Baby, please. The commercial might seem dumb but... it's a dream come true." He begged, slightly defeated

"Fine. I'll talk to her, and figure out a way to come." Baby smiled, patting his shoulder, as she couldn't do anything else in public, before continuing her route to the bathroom

When Baby got inside, she was immediately stopped by Manny, "Oh, we are so going!"

"Were you eavesdropping?" The blonde asked, making Manny laugh

"Maybe a little? Thank you for worrying about me, but that boy was basically begging you. Let's go to the party and have fun. I still can't believe you guys haven't even kissed yet." The Filipino girl rushed out with a laugh

"Manny, JT and I are just friends. But if we're going to that party, we gotta find cute outfits. Let's go." Baby lied, before grabbing Manny's hand and dragging her out of the gym

THE TWO FRIENDS WERE STUCK between two random boys on Toby's couch. Manny and Baby looked at each other, making faces, but had no real way to escape. The duo both scooted closer to each other, and whispered jokes about the disgusting way the strangers were eating.

"This is it! This is it!" JT cheered, directing everyone's attention to the screen for his commercial

Baby Roberts laughed, watching JT talk about fries with a dog in a jersey. She was really proud of him, and could tell he was happy with the way it turned out. When it ended, JT looked around at the silent room. It was obvious no one else found it as funny as the blonde did, but she was just happy for her friend.

"Uh, guess it wasn't really off the chain then?" JT asked

"Look, if people do make fun of you tomorrow, you just tell them 'Don't get all up in my fries, Dawg!" Jimmy joked, making everyone laugh

"Cut it out, Jimmy." Baby whispered, smacking the boy's hand when she noticed the upset look on JT's face

Walking up to school the next day, the Roberts girl noticed Sean and Jay teasing JT before they walked off, "Fun way to start the day, huh?"

JT looked at the blonde m, but turned back to the school. She knew he was still upset due to the events last night, but she was determined to cheer him up, "JT, I know they thought your commercial sucked, but I actually thought it was pretty funny."

"Thanks." He sarcastically replied

"But you didn't suck. You were great." Baby smiled at the teen boy

He returned the smile after a minute, "Well, you mind telling everyone in the school that?"

"Coming from a random grade nine, I don't think they'd really listen." Baby joked, grabbing the boy's hand in her own

"I do not want to go in there." JT sighed, dreading the teasing that was to come the minute he stepped inside

"I know, but we've got Armstrong's test and we have to get our math on." Baby laughed, jokingly mocking his commercial

"I am so going to kill you!" JT groaned, chasing the blonde up the school steps.
