"I got nothing. Do you?" Sam asked his older brother, peeking at him over the 4th book he picked up. Dean didn't answer, instead, he hummed as he read intensively. When he got to an interesting part, his eyebrows shot up as if he got something worth sharing. "What? You got something?"
"Hmm," Dean nodded enthusiastically before sagging his shoulders and losing all hope in his features, "no."
"Come on, Dean, we've been at this for 5 days. We need some help," Sam sighed, setting his book down.
"Yeah, I know."
"Since there are no hunters down in Virginia, I can call Jody or something and have her try and help. Maybe she can look at traffic cams or she can send out an APB, but then again, we don't know what the person looks like. I just wish there was a witness."
"Wait, I got it," Dean interrupted his brother and stood up.
"Got what?"
"There is a hunter in Virginia. This is going to sound crazy to you, but remember that time when we split up? You took the shifter case in North Carolina and I took the demon case in Virginia?"
"Yeah?" Sam asked slowly, not sure where he was going with this.
"I met a woman while I was there and she happened to be taking to same case I was. She's badass, you should have seen how many demons she took out," he laughed, revisiting the memories.
"That's good. We'll just visit her on the way to the case. If she hasn't already taken it herself, she'll be useful to us," Sam declared, standing up and stacking the books all around him.
"There's something you should know about her first," Dean trailed off.
"What, she got magical powers or something?" Sam joked, smiling.
"Not exactly," Dean said, staring at his brother.

"You're slacking brother," you grinned as you wiped the sweat off your face.
"I'm just out of practice," Damon scoffed, rolling his eyes. From the corner of his eye, he spotted his younger brother trying to sneak past you two. "Wanna help me here?"
"No," Stefan smirked and continued on his way.
"Come on, Damon. You've got at least 20 years on me. Do I have to go running all over town and tell everyone that you got your ass kicked by your little sister... again?"
"Hey, you're adopted. I don't know what you did before you became a Salvatore," Damon glared at you.
"Yeah, because I was kicking ass in the many foster homes," you said sarcastically. Growing up in the foster system wasn't always a fun time. Sure, you made friends with some of the other kids, and you went to decent schools where you could get away from your foster parents, but not everything was rainbows and sunshine.
As a kid, you learned to keep your head down and not ask questions. You stayed away from the bigger kids and avoided conflict at all cost. When Giuseppe Salvatore found you, you were practically skin and bones. He took pity and decided to adopt you, bringing you to his plantation where his two sons and wife lived. Stefan was the one to welcome you in first, then Damon got used to another person in the household.
Being adopted felt amazing and you thought you finally got away from your foster parents, only to find out that Giuseppe was just as bad as them. At least with Stefan and Damon, you had someone to take care of you. In the foster care, no one gave a shit about you, but it was different with Stefan and Damon.
They protected you against their father as much as they could even though you were about Stefan's age. Growing up with the Salvatore family, you learned a thing or two. Because you were closer to Stefan's age than Damon's, you were always closer to the younger Salvatore. That didn't mean you and Damon weren't close, it just meant you and Stefan were closer.
By the time 1864 came around, Katherine Pierce showed up and everything changed. Both brothers stopped paying attention to you. By that time, you had grown accustomed to Giuseppe's ways and could fend for yourself. But it still hurt to see Stefan and Damon get played by the same girl. Everything that happened to you was all because of Katherine.
She's the one who showed up, pretending to need housing. She's the one who tricked your brothers into falling in love with her. She's the one who got them killed. She's the one who turned them into vampires.
After Katherine "died" in the tomb with the rest of the vampires, Stefan and Damon needed help. They came to you in their times of need. Of course, you helped them, and it wasn't until you got shot that they started to help you. They didn't want you to die, you were family to them, so Damon fed you his blood and turned you into a vampire, 10 years after you knew they were vampires.
Finding out about vampires made you want to find out about more. Every night, after you learned how to control your thirst, you studied everything and anything about different kinds of creatures. For a time, you left Mystic Falls and traveled the country, killing monsters and saving other people, using your blood when needed. Eventually, you made your way back to Mystic Falls where you met Dean Winchester while on a demon hunt.
If love at first sight existed, then it happened when you looked into Dean's eyes for the first time. He was charming, smooth, kind, and just the right amount of cocky. Everything about him screamed trouble, but you couldn't help but fall anyway. Hiding who you were was trouble, but when he found your blood bag collection, you came clean.
He seemed to be okay with it, more okay than you ever thought. Turns out, he's befriended a good vampire before and even has an angel friend. After that first night, you learned a lot from him. In the week it took to finish the case, you and Dean grew closer than you ever thought you would. You two just connected and it was hard to say goodbye to him. Damon and Stefan like him and your friends, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie loved him too. That is why you gave him your number and told him if there was anything he needed, to give you a call. Despite the many phone calls and texts you shared, you've waited for that one call that meant he was coming back to you.
"Okay, let's go again," Damon spoke, getting into the fighting stance. Smirking, you got into yours before using your vampire speed to pin him against the wall. As soon as that happened you both let loose. The rules flew out the window when the two of you sparred. Damon was always the better fighter since Stefan always asked if you were okay if you showed any kind of pain.
Grabbing Damon's hand, you twisted it behind his back before kicking him to the ground. He expected this and quickly turned the tables around and used his vampire speed to spin you around and pin you on the floor. Not willing to give up yet, you kicked his back as hard as you could with him on top of you, sending him toppling over you.
Quickly rushing over to him, you grabbed a chunk of his hair and pulled with one hand, using your other to wrap around his leg and pull it up. He winced and chuckled, watching as the front door to his house open.
"Even as a younger vampire, I still beat you," you smirked, not noticing the two new people who walked in.
"Didn't you say Damon was older?" Sam whispered to his brother when he saw you on top of Damon, beating him once again.
"Yeah," Dean confirmed. At the sound of his voice, you looked up ad a big smile spread across your face.
"Dean!" using your vampire speed, you got off your brother and rushed over the Winchesters which surprised Sam.
"Sammy, meet Y/N, the badass vampire hunter. Y/N, this is my younger brother, Sam," Dean smiled, introducing you two.
"Hi Sam, it's nice to meet you," you smiled.
"Same to you, I guess. So, you're one of the good vampires, huh?"
"Good is kind of stretching it," Damon butted in after getting up. "Hi, I'm Damon, her older brother. Stefan, my younger brother, is around here somewhere."
"And you're a vampire too?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," you answered for Damon, looking at him. "Why don't we take a break?"
"Sure," Damon said as he walked out of the room. With him out of the way, you turned to the Winchesters. Seeing Dean again after all this time made your dead heart flutter.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"We need help on a hunt unless you took care of it for us," Dean chuckled.
"I haven't hunted in a while. Too many problems hitting close to home lately and only recently, we've been clear of it. What's the hunt?"
"You see any magic happening in this town?" Sam asked and you couldn't help but smile.
"My best friend is a witch. Of course, I have."
"We mean like black magic. Last time you told me she only uses natural magic. We're looking for someone who's been cursing people and killing them," Dean revealed.
"Oh, I haven't, but I can ask Bonnie. If there was someone doing black magic anywhere close to here, she'd know it."
"Great, what's her number?" Dean asked.
"Oh, no, I'm going with you," you declared.
"If we knew of the person doing magic, we can take care of it ourselves," Sam stated.
"Like I said, the problems are going away around here. Plus, I want to help. I love hunting, especially when I get to live forever. I'll take you to Bonnie's then I'm coming with you on this hunt. And maybe more after that," you whispered the last part.
"Wait," Dean said, stepping away from his brother. He took you to the side and stared into your eyes, "Are you saying what I'm thinking?"
"If you're thinking me moving in with you, then yes. If you're not, then no," you said quietly.
"I would love you to move in with us. Look, ever since we parted ways, you haven't left my mind," he confessed.
"Really?" you whispered with a smile.
"Really, really."
"I would love to move to Kansas with you. I just hope this town will be okay once I leave."
"Oh, for crying out loud," Damon groaned, popping his head in the room, "go with them. You've left before and we were fine."
"He could hear us the entire time, couldn't he?" Dean whispered.
"Yes, I could and I still can," Damon answered for you.
"It might be nice to get away from my pain-in-the-ass brother. Okay, let me get changed and pack, and we can go," you smiled at Dean before kissing his cheek.
"Awesome," he smiled. You were glad Dean came back because this time, you weren't letting him get away.
