"Oh my god" Nina is the on to break the silence. "Y-y-you just got invited to Damian Wayne's party" she stutters out.
"It's just because I'm Jon's sister he's just being polite don't overreact."
"This is not overreacting, I am reacting as anyone else would after their best friend being invited to Damian Wayne's party!"
"Are you gonna come with me to this thing?" I sigh
"Yes Yes Yes Yes"She squeals out.
"Jeez calm down it's not like I'm asking you to prom."
"You might as well be this is so exciting." She grabs one of the invitations and reads it as we head up the stairs.
"Here kid," I say tossing the invitation at Jon.
"Oh NO!" Nina shouts
"What is it now?"
"It's a costume party we need costumes." I sigh knowing what is gonna happen."Shopping!"

Nina and I have been in Party city for 2 hours and we have found nothing. Well, actually we found lots of things it's just that none of the costumes are up to par with Nina's very high standards."Maybe we should play it safe and go with something simple."I say trying to speed up the costume process.
"Okay.." she agreed "But I still want to be different... oh I know we can be a girl version of boys that's different."
"Okay, sure whatever you want is fine."I'm just saying whatever it takes to get out of here.
"Let's go as superheroes." She says excitedly. gulp that not a good idea. I try to quickly think of an excuse to not go as superheroes. 'I hate superheroes?' no, I live in metropolis everyone in metropolis loves Superman. 'I went as a superhero last year?' no, I went with Nina as Mario and Luigi last year dang it. "We can be-"oh no here it comes."Robin and Superboy!" noooooooooooo please god have mercy on me whyyyyy. "look it's okay I'll go as Robin so if you are uncomfortable when anyone asks you, you can just say you are Supergirl and look you already have the black hair." No, I can't be myself someone could recognize me. 'oh, hay that girl dressed as Supergirl looks Identical to the real Supergirl' and dad would never let me risk it. Oh god, that means...
"No actually-" I hate Halloween "Can I be-"this is going to be so uncomfortable "Robin?" I think I'm going to go eat some kryptonite now.
"Ya definitely I'd never pass up the opportunity to be the iconic Supergirl," Nina says excitedly.

Now we are at the mall looking to make our own costumes. Mom said she would help us if we needed it. Nina picked out different shirts and shorts I just let her be and sat in the food court, she knew all my sizes she can handle it. I was wallowing in my self-pity when Nina texted me saying she had finished. I called my mom and told her where to pick us up. On our way home Nina was going on about all the things she got. Nina is interesting. She isn't popular because she isn't willing to be a mean girl. I know she is beautiful but her glasses and her perfect grades make people associate her with being a nerd. Even though she is the girliest girl ever. She has an awesome fashion sense too. But the thing that really confuses me is the fact that she is the richest kid at our school. Well was now that Damian is here. I think everyone was jealous of her money so they kicked her down to my stature. I think Because of this she has always wanted to prove her worth and be popular.
When we got home she got strength to work cutting and ironing and sewing things together. She got out my moms old sewing machine and was working away she inevitably came up with two costumes one for each of us. She excitedly jumped up and did her signature squeal. She prompted for me to cover my eyes and I did as she desired. I watied for her to get situated. When she finaly told me I could uncover my eyes I opened them to see her holding very little fabric for the amount of clothing she was started with. Although I have to say they were deffinetaly very cute.Just a little...revealing.Mine was more revealing than hers for some odd reason. Hers was a shiny white leotard with my symbol iron on a short red skirt over that and some thigh high red boots. she also made a cape with blue on the inside red on the outside and sewed it on the the straps of the leotard. For mine she did something similar by getting a matte red leotard and ironing on damian's version of the robin logo along with the little buckles going down the middle. She paired it with some knee high red boots with red laces. She also made me a cape that is yellow on the inside black on the outside along with Damians signature hood, although the best part is the utility belt. She some how made a fully functioning belt with big enough pockets for me to some snacks in.
"So what do you think?" her eyes were gleaming I could tell she was so proud of her work
"They are awesome Nina, although I don't know if my dad will let me out of the house in that."I laughed nervously. He is totally going to go all overprotective dad on me but hopefully knowing that Jon will be there can ease him.
"Oh he will be fine, he has to let you go this will make our High school careers!"Nina tried to reassure me but I'm still not sure.
That is when my mom came in."Did you finish yet?" she asked trying to get involved more now that I'm back home.
"I sure did Mrs.Kent" replied Nina showing my mom the costumes.
"Oh they are so cute I can't wait to get the pictures you girls better get ready," she said before swiftly exiting the room.
Nina and I got dressed in our costumes and sat down to do our hair and makeup. I just simply put on concealer and mascara making sure to have a nice natural look. Nina did the same but she did some nice red and blue eyeshadow look that looks professional. I straightened my usual wavy black locks down, whereas Nina curled her dark brown hair. Once we were finished and looked at how we pleased we hurried down the stairs to meet up with Jon and my mother so we can go. When Nina and Jon looked at us his jaw dropped.
"w-w-what are you wearing?" he stuttered at me in complete bafflement.
I just giggled and replied, "My Halloween costume Jonny Boy."
We all started heading out to the car but Jon pulled me back to walk with him behind Nina and mom, "You do know you are dressing as Damian to his own party right?"
"Ya"I sighed,"Nina wanted me to dress as Supergirl but I didn't want to risk dressing up as myself so I had to switch...and well I'll just try to avoid Damian so it won't get awkward."he just nodded slightly and gave me a doubtful look followed by a seemingly reassuring smile. Before ewe got in the car my mother took plenty of pictures of us in our costumes ready to 'party'. Thankfully on our car ride to Gotham, we didn't get stuck in too much traffic but I was worried we would be really late thankfully Nina reassured me by saying that it's always good to show up to a party late.

We could hear the loud music from the bottom of the hill that Wayne Manor sits on. I could feel the loud thumping of the music. When we got to the Top Jon, Nina and, I got out and headed towards the door with the butler Alfred awaiting. When we got to the door he took our invitations and led us inside. When I walked in I saw a sea of kids, many of which I recognized from school. There were girls dressed in wigs with extream makeup and boys with elaborate suits. It was all very over the top. Jon heads off to go find Damian as I tried my very best to avoid him. Nina dragged me off to go and dance or get snacks from one of the many waiters walking around. Damian didn't seem like this much of a people person but I guess I was wrong. As a result of Nina's dragging It took forty-five minutes for us to run into Damian. I spotted Jon first in his adorable cowboy costume but that meant Damian was not far behind. I tried to spot him around Jon but came out with nothing. That was when I felt a pair of eyes burning into me from behind. I turned around and sure enough there he was. Holding two cups in his hand he stood wearing black ripped jeans with a red belt, A black long sleeve button up with the first three buttons undone, showing his perfectly tanned skin, even in black, and his red bowtie hanging un-tied around his neck. He also had a red devil tail and horns on. I watched as he slowly dragged his eyes from the bottom of my shoes to the top of my head. He made eye contact after that just blinking and staring mouth slightly agape. I just wish I knew what he was thinking..."

I hope you like this chapter it will probably take me two weeks to update this time. I'll try to get it out sooner than that but I'm gonna be really busy this week.
